PELOTAS RS: O QUE FAZER NA BELA E HISTÓRICA PRINCESA DO SUL | EP 13 | ROCA NO MUNDO
Passamos 22 dias na belissíma cidade de Pelotas e nesse vídeo mostramos o que fazer nessa cidade que nos surpreendeu muito.
Saímos de São Miguel das Missões e rodamos pouco mais de 550km até chegar em Pelotas, onde a princípio não ficaríamos muito tempo, isso até percebermos que havia muito o que fazer na cidade.
A história de Pelotas está intimamente ligada ao charque entretanto hoje a estrela certamente são os doces. Pelotas é conhecida mundialmente pelo seus doces e isso é assunto sério na cidade, tanto que é palco da fenadoce (Capital Nacional do Doce). Isso certamente estará em qualquer roteiro sobre o que fazer em Pelotas.
Ao redor da Praça General Osório no centro de Pelotas estão vários edifícios históricos que atualmente são tombados e é uma boa pedida sobre o que fazer na cidade.
Bem próximo ainda está o mercado central com decoração importada da europa, a Igreja cabeluda e a Catedral Metropolitana São Francisco de Paula, essa um pouco mais distante, mas que rende o que fazer.
Saíndo do centro histórico de Pelotas fomos até a Praia do Laranjal passear na orla e andar no trapiche que fica na Lagoa (Laguna) dos Patos, outro lugar que também rende o que fazer em Pelotas.

Brazilian Food - 5 Foods You MUST EAT in Brazil
Comida Brasileira, Brazilian Food! Brazil is full of delicious meats, fruits, and specialties. Here we go through six overall tasty treats you should have when you come to Brazil. The best of Brazilian food, so you know what to eat when you visit Brazil.
1. The Lanches: the snacks like Pao de Quiejo (cheese bread), Coixinha do Frango (fried chicken dough ball), and such that go great with a Chop (draft beer) or a Caipirinha (the local Brazilian mixed drink), and if you don’t like alcohol the drink of brazil is Guarana.
2. The Meats: Brazil is full of great meat and the most famous meats you will have at a Rodizio or Chrassasco. Here they walk around with many different types of meats from chicken hearts to ribs, but the most important is Picanha, a specific kind of Brazilian cut of meat.
3. The Fruits: Brazil is full of amazing fruit and many you might not have heard of. Visit a market and try fruit you never saw before and have juices made fresh just for you.
4. The Sweets: those fruits go well into many of the bolos (cakes) that are in Brazil, but if you want some chocolate have Brigadeiro, a chocolate made with sweetened condense milk. There are also traditional favorites like doce de leite (cream caramel) or doce de abobara (sweetness of pumpkin).
5. The Local Dishes: each region in Brazil has its own specialities so make sure you are trying what is popular where you are. The south is famous for its beef. The northeast is great for seafood. Bahia has acaraje a bean paste taco kind of dish with shrimp inside. Sao Paulo has its own mortadella/bologna sandwich, or chicken cooked in its own blood in Minas Gerais.
6. Beans and Rice: beans and rice will appear on the menu again and again and even if you didn’t order them expect beans and rice. They are a staple of the Brazilian food culture. Some typical dishes that highlight these are Caldo de Feijao which is a bean soup/stew dish you have as a starter. Feijoada which is the Brazilian bean stew you will have served with rice, kovi, fried banana and with a ice cold chop (beer).

Olá Caminhantes!
Hoje o Urbanista Caminhante te convida a conhecer um pouco do centro histórico da cidade de Pelotas.
Vamos explorar a Praça Coronel Pedro Osório e seu entorno, que é composto por lindos casarões cheios de história e que fazem parte de um conjunto tombado pelo IPHAN.
Começamos nossa caminhada pelo Clube Caixeiral, que surgiu a partir da mobilização de caixeiros viajantes e foi fundado em 25 de dezembro de 1879. Sua sede foi construída em 1904 por Caetano Casaretto.
Entramos na praça e encontramos alguns de seus vários monumentos, que ajudam a contar a história da cidade. Entre eles, estão os bustos de Dr. Brusque Filho, Dr. Francisco de Paula Amarante e Dr. Miguel Barcellos. Podemos sentar um pouquinho pra descansar ao lado do célebre escritor pelotense, João Simões Lopes Neto. A escultura, datada de 2016 é de autoria de Léo Santana, responsável por obras como a estátua de Carlos Drummond de Andrade, situada em um banco do calçadão de Copacabana, no Rio de Janeiro.
Passamos pelo Teatro Sete de Abril, o mais antigo teatro do Rio Grande do Sul e conhecemos Coronel Pedro Osório, personalidade que nomeia a praça e foi homenageada com um monumento de autoria de Antônio Caringi.
No bem no centro da praça, encontramos o Chafariz Fonte das Nereidas importado da França pela Companhia Hidráulica Pelotense em 1873 para ornamentar a cidade e abastecer a população do entorno com água potável. Uma curiosidade é que na cidade de Edimburgo, na Escócia, há um chafariz idêntico à Fonte das Nereidas.
Passamos pela antiga casa número 59, onde hoje resta apenas a fachada, e que pertenceu ao militar e político gaúcho, Manuel Luís Osório, o General Osório; pelas casas geminadas nº 1 e nº 3, que foram construídas pelo Comendador Joaquim Assumpção - o Barão de Jarau; pelos prédios Prédios nº 2, 6 e 8, que formam um conjunto arquitetônico eclético tombado pelo IPHAN e onde funcionam um centro cultural e o Museu do Doce e finalmente chegamos ao Teatro Guarany, inaugurado na noite de 30 de abril de 1921, quando a Companhia Lyrica Italiana Marranti estreou com a ópera O Guarani, de Carlos Gomes.

Nas ruas da Colônia Maciel, encontramos desde uma casa abandonada, até grandes paisagens e uma estradinha que mais parece cenário de um filme!!!
Um dia de vento extremamente forte (vocês vão notar isso no áudio kkk) mas que não tirou nada da beleza de um lugar incrível, que a gente tem certeza que vocês vão gostar de conhecer!!!
