Temples of Khajuraho
Khajuraho temples were constructed between 950 and 1050 A.D. during the reign of Chandel Empire. Khajuraho derives its name from the Khajur tree (the date palm tree) which can be found in abundance in the area. These temples are considered the high point of Indian architectural genius in the Medieval period. The temples are a world heritage site and belong not just to India but to the world. The Archeological Survey of India's dedicated efforts towards their conservation rank them against the best preserved monuments of this antiquity. Most of the temples are built of sandstone in varying shades of buff, pink or pale yellow. They each belong to a different sect, the Shiva, Vaishnava or Jaina Sects, but are often indistinguishable from one another to the untrained eye. The temples are lofty with ample walking space separating them.

Jodhpur || The Blue City ||
My year started with a resolution of travelling and photographing the incredible cities of India. With my trusted companion, my cousin, our first destination was Jodhpur.
This is our very first attempt of showing how beautiful the blue city of India really is. Known for the incredible sunset and sunrise views, this is one of the must visit place for any traveler. We spent around 6 days exploring the city and could barely scratch the surface.
Mehrangarh fort with the blue city lit during the golden and blue hour makes this place picture perfect and is a paradise for any landscape photographer. This trip was one of my best trips I have ever been on. Meeting new people, photographing the place was awe-inspiring. I am so happy with the way this video has turned out! I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it..!!

7. Shri Ganesh Temple (RATNADA)
The Sri Ganesh Temple in Jodhpur is nestled in the Ratnada hills and attracts a lot of devotees every year from all over the country. The beautiful location of the temple also offers a very scenic view of Jodhpur City. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and has the idols of Riddhi and Siddhi on either side which symbolizes prosperity and accomplishment. Wednesday is considered a very holy day to visit the temple and offer prayers to Gajananda.
6. Mehrangarh Fort
Mehrangarh Fort holds the pride of place in Jodhpur because of its splendid architecture and the diverse history associated with it. Considered as one of the most formidable and magnificent forts of Rajasthan, Mehrangarh fort was built by Rao Jodha in the year 1459.
There is also a museum within the Mehrangarh fort, which exhibits a rich collection of palanquins, musical instruments, royal cradles, costumes, arms, furniture and paintings.
5. JASWANT THADA
This milky-white marble memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, sitting above a small lake 1km northeast of Mehrangarh, is an array of whimsical domes. It’s a welcome, peaceful spot after the hubbub of the city, and the views across to the fort and over the city are superb. Built in 1899, it is hung with portraits of Rathore rulers going back to the 13th century.
4. Kalyana lake
Kalyana lake is an ideal site for all the bird watchers. It is an artificial lake, and was built in 1872. Spread over an area of 8 km, Kaylana lake is the best spot to witness the spectacular sunset. It is a perfect place to enjoy a day of leisure or indulge in some good time with family, and friends.
3. LOCAL CUISINE
Jodhpur is very famous for food, snacks and sweets. Some of local snacks run very well in city and it is very popular too whole world. Mirchibada & Mawa k Kachori are the premium snacks of Jodhpur. Both are world famous and every one says that if you want to eat mirchibada & mawa k kachori then go to Jodhpur. It is available in other cities too but the taste of Jodhpuri mirchibada & mawa k kachori are unique. It is specialty of the city. Along with that I suggest you to hunt for some makhaniya lassi. It’s the famous creamy drink made with curd, cardamom and saffron, and is nothing less than a sinful indulgence for the sweet tooth.
2. MANDORE GARDEN
Famous for its wide green expanses, exquisite architecture and royal cenotaphs, Mandore Garden of Jodhpur is indeed a sight to behold. Located just 9 kilometres away from Jodhpur; Mandore Garden is situated in Mandore which was once the ruling seat of the Pratihara dynasty. The garden is a part of the more massive Mehrangarh Fort, and also houses the famous Hall of Heroes and the temple of Three Hundred Million Gods. The garden also has a Government Museum, which is full of artefacts and old relics.

Umaid Bhawan Palace is one of the most popular attractions of Jodhpur. The palace is named after Maharaja Umed Singh, who is the grandfather of present owner of the palace. In earlier times, the palace was known to be the ‘Chittar palace’ as it is located on Chittar hill (the highest point Jodhpur). Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur is a masterpiece of brilliant architecture and boasts of a wonderful mélange of Rajput and Victorian styles.
The palace is mainly divided into three compartments namely the Maharaja’s royal residence, a museum and a heritage hotel.
The museum here has a huge collection of weapons, a banner presented by Queen Victoria and amazing clocks providing detailed information about the royal era of Rajasthan.
