আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যটন দিবস’ উপলক্ষে নড়াইলের চিত্রা নদীতে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো এসএম সুলতান নৌকাবাইচ প্রতিযোগিতা। গ্রাম বাংলার ঐতিহ্যবাহী এই বাইচ দেখতে আশেপাশের জেলাসহ স্থানীয়দের পদভারে মুখরিত চিত্রা নদীর দুইপাড় জনস্রোতে পরিণত হয়। শনিবার (২ অক্টোবর) বিকেল ৩টার দিকে নড়াইলের পুরাতন ফেরিঘাট থেকে নৌকাবাইচের উদ্বোধন করেন বেসামরিক বিমান ও পর্যটন প্রতিমন্ত্রী মো. মাহাবুব আলী। জেলা প্রশাসক মোহাম্মদ হাবিবুর রহমানর সভাপতিত্বে এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন- জাতীয় দলের সাবেক অধিনায়ক ও নড়াইল-০২ আসনের সংসদ সদস্য মাশরাফি বিন মোর্তজা, বেসামরিক বিমান ও পর্যটন সচিব মো. মোকাম্মেল হোসেন, বাংলাদেশ ট্যুরিজম বোর্ডের প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা জাবেদ আহমেদ, খুলনা বিভাগীয় কমিশনার মো. ইসমাইল হোসেন, পুলিশ সুপার প্রবীর কুমার রায়, জেলা আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি অ্যাডভোকেট সুবাস চন্দ্র বোস, সাধারণ সম্পাদক নিজামউদ্দিন খান নিলু, নড়াইল পৌর মেয়র আঞ্জুমানারা বেগম, এস.এম সুলতান ফাউন্ডেশনের সদস্য সচীব আশিকুর রহমান মিকু প্রমুখ। নৌকাবাইচে যশোর, খুলনা, মাগুরা, পাবনা ও নড়াইলের মোট ১৬টি নৌকা অংশগ্রহন করে। নড়াইল পুরাতন ফেরিঘাটের রাসেল সেতু হতে শুরু হয়ে মাছিমদিয়ার এস.এম সুলতান সেতু পর্যন্ত ৩ কিলোমিটার বাইচে অংশ নেয় এরা। কালাই নৌকা ১০টি, টালাই ৫টি এবং নারীদের একটি নৌকা অংশ নেয়। মোট পাঁচটি টানে বাইচ শেষ হয়। এদিকে নৌকাবাইচকে ঘিরে জমিদারবাড়ির বাধাঘাট, চরের ঘাট আর পঙ্কবিলা ঘাটে মেলা বসে। মেলায় নানা ধরনের নাগরদোলা, চরকি আর পসরা নিয়ে বসেছিলো আগত দর্শকদের জন্য। নারী-পুরুষ ও শিশু-বৃদ্ধের আগমনে এ নৌকাবাইচ যেন পরিণত হয় মিলন মেলায়। গ্রাম বাংলার ঐতিহ্যবাহী এ নৌকাবাইচ দেখতে চিত্রা নদীর দুই পাড়ে, বাড়ির ছাদে, গাছের ডালে বসে যে যেখান থেকে যেভাবে পেরেছে সেভাবেই সবাই উপভোগ করেছে। শিল্পী সুলতান তার চিত্রকর্মে গ্রামীন জীবন, জনপদ ও সংস্কৃতিকে তুলির আঁচড়ে ফুটিয়ে তুলেছেন। প্রতিবছর তারই জন্মবার্ষিকীতে নৌকাবাইচ আয়োজনের মাধ্যমে শিল্পীর সেইস্বপ্ন বাস্তবায়নের প্রচেষ্টা সুলতান প্রেমী নড়াইলবাসীর। এ বছর করোনার কারণে তা পিছিয়ে পর্যটন দিবস উদযাপন করতেই আয়োজনটি করা হয়। আয়োজকরা জানান, সুলতান সবসময় গ্রামীণ বাংলার সাংস্কৃতিকে লালন পালন করতেন। আর তার সেই আজীবনের লালিত স্বপ্নকে ধরে রাখতেই প্রতিবছর নৌকাবাইচ প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজন করা হয়।
On the occasion of International Tourism Day, SM Sultan Boating Competition was held on Chitra River in Narail. To see this traditional boat of rural Bengal, the locals on both sides of the Chitra River, including the surrounding districts, turned into a crowd. State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mohammad inaugurated the boat ride from the old ferry terminal of Narail on Saturday (October 2) at 3 pm. Mahabub Ali. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habibur Rahman was present in the presidency - former national team captain and Narail-02 MP Mashrafe bin Mortaza, Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary. Mokammel Hossain, Bangladesh Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer Jabed Ahmed, Khulna Divisional Commissioner. Ismail Hossain, Superintendent of Police Prabir Kumar Roy, District Awami League President Advocate Subash Chandra Bose, General Secretary Nizamuddin Khan Nilu, Narail Municipal Mayor Anjumanara Begum, Member Secretary of SM Sultan Foundation Ashikur Rahman Miku and others. A total of 16 boats from Jessore, Khulna, Magura, Pabna and Narail participated in the boat race. Starting from Russell Bridge at Narail Old Ferry Terminal, they took part in a 3 km boat ride to SM Sultan Bridge in Machimdia. 10 Kalai boats, 5 Talai boats and one women's boat took part. The boat ended with a total of five pulls. Meanwhile, fairs are held at the barricades of the zamindar houses, char ghats and Pankabila ghats around Naukabaich. At the fair, there were various types of merry-go-rounds, wheelbarrows and posara for the visitors. With the arrival of men and women, children and the elderly, this boating has become a fair. Everyone enjoyed watching the traditional boating of rural Bengal on both sides of the river Chitra, on the roofs of their houses, on the branches of trees. In his paintings, the artist Sultan has painted rural life, towns and culture with a brush stroke. Sultan-loving people of Narail try to realize the artist's dream by organizing a boat race every year on his birth anniversary. This year, due to Corona, it was postponed to celebrate Tourism Day. According to the organizers, the Sultan always cherished the culture of rural Bengal. And to keep his lifelong cherished dream, a boat race is organized every year.

Hosseini Dalan or Imambara is a Shia shrine and cemetery located in Bakshibazar, Old Dhaka, Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

নবাবগঞ্জ জাতীয় উদ্যান
নবাবগঞ্জ জাতীয় উদ্যান বাংলাদেশের দিনাজপুর জেলায় অবস্থিত একটি জাতীয় উদ্যান। ২০১০ সালের ২৪ অক্টোবর এটি প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। ৫১৭.৬১ হেক্টর বা ১২৭৮.৪৯ একর জমি নিয়ে এই জাতীয় উদ্যানটি গঠিত। এই বনে শাল ছাড়াও সেগুন, গামার, কড়ই, বেত, বাঁশ, জামসহ প্রায় ২০ থেকে ৩০ প্রজাতির গাছগাছড়া রয়েছে। প্রানীদের মধ্যে রয়েছে বিভিন্ন রকমের পাখি এবং ভয়ানক প্রানীর মধ্যে রয়েছে শিয়াল যা সন্ধ্যার পর ছাড়া দেখা যায় না। এই উদ্যানেই রয়েছে বাল্মিকী মনির থান এবং ঐতিহাসিক প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক নিদর্শন সীতার কোট বৌদ্ধবিহার যা নিয়ে সীতার বনবাস কিংবদন্তি রয়েছে।
নবাবগঞ্জ উপজেলা সদর থেকে প্রায় এক কিলোমিটার উত্তর-পশ্চিমে এই জাতীয় উদ্যানের অবস্থান। তবে নবাবগঞ্জ সদরের জিরো পয়েন্ট থেকে এক কিলোমিটার দুরত্ব হলেও অনেকটা শহরের গা-ঘেষে অবস্থান করছে নবাবগঞ্জ জাতীয় উদ্যান।
