5 Reasons Why I Love Nakhon Si Thammarat : Travel Tips Thailand : Mountains, Beaches, Temples & Food
In this video I am going to give you 5 great reasons why I love Nakhon Si Thammarat in the south of Thailand. This province has it all situated just near Koh Samui and Phuket is on the other side. The town is in the middle of the province which has it all. 30 Km one way you hit beautiful beaches and 30 km the other way you hit mountains.
The 5 things I love were the Mountains and water at Baan Khiriwong. Clear water, feeding the fish, looking at the wildlife and eating great food beside the water.
We travelled late May which is in the dry season in Thailand and hence the river at Baan Kiriwong and potentially the waterfalls were not at their peak however it was still enough to have fun and swim.
The we hit the beaches and in search of pink dolphins and Pancake rock. First we stopped at Baan Khanom which was an amazing quiet beach area then headed further north to Prathap Cape where we took a long tail boar in search of pink dolphins and pancake rock. We should have gone to see the dolphins earlier as it is reported to have more there. We got to the Koh Samui Port around Noon which potentially was a bit late and we only saw the dolphins from afar.
We headed back and stopped at Sichon Beach. This area has some great places to stay and if we go back we would divide our time between the town and relax time here at Sichon beach. Secluded and rustic beach resort area.
As with all places in Thailand there are some beautiful and significant temples with the most noted being Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan. This is a short drive from the old city wall which you can do at the same time. We also went to the Traditional Thai shadow Puppet show that originated in the town.
Eating and going out, this town has everything from street food to top end restaurants. The beauty about staying in town is that you can experience all of that and it was good. Lots of bars and there is a nightlife scene but it is directed to the local population. This made going out enjoyable as it didn’t have the tourist aimed nightlife scene.
My Tips & Tricks:
Hire a car to see the province. The town can look and feel a bit dull but it has a lot to offer, you just need to search for it. Google maps is your friend. I would stay a minimum of 2 nights in town then head to the beach for a couple of nights. Get up and see the dolphins early! We visited some of the beaches beforehand but in hindsight you need to get to the bay the that the dolphins are in early in the morning...like 8 or 9am.

We travelled by : Air Asia and hired a car by googling a local Rent a Car operator. At the time of writing, there was only limited Car Hire Options at the Airport where we wanted to pick up and drop off. The major car hire operators were open at the airport. The operator we used was not able to come into the terminal to meet us on arrival however the contract and the car was all fine.

Rice Terraces in this video are located in Chiang Mai Province near Doi Inthanon National Park. Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand which is located about two hours by car from Chiang Mai city. This area has many waterfalls and is famous for beautiful mountainous landscapes. Nestled right beside this park are these rice terraces known as Ban Pa Pong Piang. This is a popular scenic spot for many Thai locals. It is worth the time to stop by if you are visiting Chiang Mai Province while in Thailand. One of the popular times to visit rice terraces in Thailand is during the rainy season July-September due to the rice turning green. After the rainy season the rice will turn to a more yellow color before being harvested.
Rice Terrace may also be known as Pa Pong Pieng.

This is the Sunday evening market in Pak Phanang in Nakhon Si Thammarat in the south of Thailand. It's a huge market, with dozens of Thai street food vendors, clothes stalls and heaps of other shopping. You'll find lots of delicious local specialities there, including some you're unlikely to find anywhere else
The market is open every Sunday from 4pm till 8pm.

Nakhon Si Thammarat (นครศรีธรรมราช) is both a province and a city in Southern Thailand and it's is a foodie Paradise ... there is loads of great food there! It is well off the tourist trail and is a destination that not a lot of people visit, however it’s a great province where you can get a taste of real Thai culture. It has some amazing Thai food and attractions that you can visit. And there is loads to do – great markets, restaurants, beaches, islands, national parks, waterfalls and even pink dolphins! It’s a beautiful part of Thailand!

This was the start of 11 days of heavy rain and flooding.
Eternal Pak Chong - ปากช่อง - Thailand - DJI Phantom 4
It's the end of the year (already!). People usually come with a restrospective of their year. I come up with something like that but about one amazing place i had chance to visit all along the year: Pak Chong (in thai: ปากช่อง). This place is trully special, located close to Khao Yai National Park and the massive Sankamphaeng mountains range. It offers you during the civil year and its seasons some intense souvenirs and sensations through all these wonders. There are basically temples, pagodas and buddhas hidden almost everywhere. it's just the perfect place resourcing and finding yourself all over again each time.
This video is a total of a decade of flights in different lights conditions and video settings evolving all along the road, which made editing pretty challenging on colors grading aspect. I willingly chose to do not include much ground footages in order to provide a real flight experience all along, video would have been probably twice more longer anyway lol

Ahoj. Vrátil jsem se zpátky do Thajska, abych pokračoval v tom, v čem jsem už dřív začal. V průzkumu každého kousku tohoto království. :)
V dnešním díle se vydávám na víc jak 2000 kilometrů dlouhej okruh po jižním Thajsku. Výchozím městem je pro mě Krabi, kde si půjčuju skútr.
Vyjíždím z města Krabí podél pobřeží na ostrov Ko Lanta. Po průzkumu Ko Lanty se vracím zpět na pevninu a pokračuju dál na jih přes města Trang, Hat Yai a Songkhla.
Od tam znovu na sever po pobřeží a okolo jezera Thale Noi až do Nakhon Si Thammarat, který je totálně bez cizinců a je to tu pravý Thajsko.
Z Nakhon Si Thammarat jedu přes hory, který jsou posety durianovníkama, hot springama a jeskyněma, do městečka Kanchanadit. Od tam přes Surat Thani do národního parku Khao Sok.
Následuje zátoka Phang-Nga a ostrov Phuket, kterej je přesnej opak města Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Na závěr si užiju celodenní hustej déšť zase na Krabi a odlítám do Bangkoku.

Travelling to Laos via the slow boat | Laos Travel Vlog (Passports ep.13)
???? We crossed the land border between Thailand and Laos to take a slow boat to Luang Prabang. We've been backpacking in South East Asia and this is the first time we've done a land crossing. This crossing is quite famous for its trip across the friendship bridge, followed by the two-day cruise down the Mekong River.
???? Rather than doing this solo we opted to travel with cruise organisers 'Nagi of Mekong' : - This is a more expensive option (160 USD) rather than doing it alone but, in return, you get help and instructions through border control as well as door-to-door transport from your hotel in Chiang Khong to your hotel in Luang Prabang two days later. They also took care of the hotel in Pakbeng in the middle and threw in a few tour stops along the way. (Pak Ou cave is a popular day trip from Luang Prabang.)
