Shrikshetra Bhagwangad ( latitude 19 ° 12 ' north , longitude 75 ° 24' east ) is a scenic shrine situated on a hill near Kharwandi village on the border of Beed - Ahmednagar district in the state of Maharashtra . The National Highway from Kalyan to Visakhapatnam passes near this scenic shrine . Shrikshetra Bhagwangad is known as one of the major and well-known pilgrimage sites in the state of Maharashtra . This place has a temple of Dhaumya sages who are priests of Vitthal and Pandavas . Also Janardhanaswamy , The tombs of Bhagwan Baba and Bhimsingh Maharaj are here. Shrikshetra Bhagwangad, a fort of devotion, has been built to unite people of all castes and religions. Bhagwangada is also seen as a place of worship for sugarcane workers in the state of Maharashtra. Shri Kshetra Bhagwangada is considered as a place of worship for devotees from Maharashtra including Marathwada and a symbol of inter-religious harmony. This fort was built by Vanjari Saint Bhagwan Baba. Bhagwan Baba was a saint of the great Warkari sect . After the death of Bhagwan Baba, Saint Bhim Singh Maharaj of the Rajput community ascended the throne. Now the mahant of Vanjari community, Shri Dr. Namdev Maharaj Shastri has been installed on the throne. It is a feature of Bhagwagad that caste is not seen here if there is merit.
