The 12th-century basilica Heilig-Bloedbasiliek, or chapel of the Holy Blood, on Burg square contains a rock-crystal vial containing a fragment of cloth stained with what is said to be the coagulated blood of Christ. Bruges is a great walking town (or you can rent bicycles and go around like natives). The cuisine is top notch (although a tad expensive), and the beer is some of the best in the world (try the Brewery De Gouden Boom at Langestraat, 47 which has a small but interesting museum)..

Wandelen in Aldeneik
Vlak bij het charmante stadje Maaseik, ligt Aldeneik, de wieg van Maaseik. Achter het oude munsterkerkje uit de 11de eeuw ligt een erg mooi natuurgebied dat in ieder seizoen uitnodigt om er te wandelen of te fietsen. Wandel met ons mee de winter in, de lente door en de zomer uit. Laat ons hopen dat tegen die tijd Corona de wereld uit is. In afwachting: alvast veel kijk- en vooral veel wandel- of fietsplezier!
Près de la charmante ville de Maaseik, se trouve Aldeneik, le berceau de Maaseik. Derrière l'ancienne petite église du XIe siècle se trouve une très belle réserve naturelle, qui vous invite à marcher ou à faire du vélo en toute saison. Marchez avec nous en hiver, au printemps et en été. Espérons que d'ici là, Corona est hors du monde. En prévision: beaucoup de plaisir visuel et surtout beaucoup de plaisir à pied ou à vélo!

In het Belgische Brugge kan je gezellig en gezond wandelen langs de vestingwallen en stadspoorten. Je ontmoet menige straatjes, monumentale stenen en prachtige historische gebouwen van diverse aard. Beeld en geluid die na ieder bezoek vast en zeker in je geheugen gegrift staan. In deze film maak je kennis met de Kruisvest, gelegen tussen de Kruispoort en de Dampoort, een mooie promenade waar je onder meer vier oude molens met name de Sint-Janshuismolen, de Koeleweimolen, de Bonne-Chièremolen en de Nieuwe Papegaai zal tegenkomen. Het is best een lang stukje fietsen en/of wandelen maar door de vele mooie indrukken en ervaringen die je opdoet, zal deze tocht je bijblijven.
