What to do in Puerto Rico? ???????? | Visit Orocovis, Barranquitas, and the Central Mountains
We explore Puerto Rico's Central Mountains to see what most visitors are missing out on. Most travelers stick to San Juan, but Puerto Rico is full of beauty all around the island. We start off at Cerro Meme, just west of Orocovis, surrounded by rolling mountains at the summit. We then head to Barranquitas, Puerto Rico to grab some Puerto Rican food at El Mofongo, called... mofongos. We then travel over to the Chorro de Doña Juana Waterfall, which was still beautiful considering it was much smaller than usual. We end our day at an overlook called El Banquillo, which overlooks the southern mountains, coastline, and Ponce, Puerto Rico.

El Monstruo | Toro Verde Puerto Rico
Riding 'El Monstruo', the second longest zip line in the world, at Toro Verde in Orocovis, Puerto Rico. The ride is 7,234 feet long, or 28 football fields, and about 1,200 feet high. Riders can reach speeds of up to 95 miles per hour depending on their weight.

Puerto Rico Amazing Places | Bosque Toro Negro | Charco Doña Juana
In Today's video, we explore 2 amazing places in Puerto Rico, Bosque Toro Negro and Salto Doña Juana in orocovis. Toro Negro State Forest is one of the 21 forests that make up the public forests system in Puerto Rico. It is in the Cordillera Central region of the island and covers 7,968 acres of mountains. Toro Negro's mountains have heights reaching up to 4,400 feet (1,300 m) and include Cerro de Punta, Cerro Jayuya and Cerro Rosa, the three highest peaks on the island. Nested among these mountains is Lake Guineo, the island's highest lake. The forest has 18 kilometers (11 mi) of trails, an observation tower, two natural swimming pools (Spanish:charcos), camping and picnic areas, nine rivers, and numerous creeks and waterfalls.
Visitors can explore this magnificent forest on their own or in a tour. Among the facilities available at Toro Negro are a camping area, a recreational area, a system of hiking trails and observation points. Information about trails and campsites can be found on this website:
The best way to find out what trails will be open when you are visiting is to check out the Friends of Bosque Toro Negro facebook page:
This group of volunteers does great work cleaning the trails and educating the public about the ecosystem. Sometimes they even organize Yoga classes in the forest! You can ask the volunteers questions through Facebook Messenger, and they reply quite quickly with helpful information.
El Chorro de Dona Juana is a beautiful waterfall located in the town of Orocovis, approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from San Juan. This Charco is one of the best examples of nature in its splendor, the sounds, fauna, and subtle breeze will make you forget everything and just enjoy the moment.
To get to the waterfalls, drive on PR-149 to km marker 41.3 and park along the road right before or after the waterfall bridge. At 200 feet tall, Dona Juana is the tallest waterfall in Puerto Rico!
These amazing falls are part of the Doña Juana Creek where it runs into the Toro Negro river. The falls are very accessible, as you can see them from the road as you drive across the bridge. No hiking required! However, some adventure groups organize events to hike and climb to the top of this incredible natural wonder. There are actually several other falls above the two that are visible from the road!

????Área Recreacional Toro Negro Orocovis, Puerto Rico ????????
Esta área recreativa se sitúa al suroeste del municipio de Orocovis en el Barrio Ala de la Piedra en la carretera PR-143, la famosa Ruta Panorámica de Puerto Rico.
Esta área recreacional es una de las tantas que tiene por ofrecer el Bosque Estatal de Toro Negro. Aquí encontrarás de manera accesible; El Jardín de Sylvia, Charco de los Suspiros, Gazebos y La Piscina Natural la cual en el presente esta fuera de servicio y en abandono. Estas áreas mencionadas están relativamente cerca una de la otra.
Más distante encontrarás otras áreas tales como: Charca La Confesora, Área de Acampar ???? y La Torre de Observación la cual esta localizada en el Cerro de Doña Juana a 1,078 metros de altura.
Su estacionamiento es bastante amplio y por el momento su entrada principal permanece cerrada, pero puedes acceder a esta área recreativa por el lado izquierdo de esta entrada.
Este bosque (Toro Negro) abarca sobre aproximadamente 6,945 cuerdas de terreno desde Jayuya, Ponce, Orocovis, Villalba, Juana Díaz y Ciales. Sin embargo, las instalaciones, veredas y área de acampar están ubicadas en la zona de Orocovis. El bosque es muy parecido al Bosque Nacional el Yunque debido a su ecosistema.
El Bosque Estatal de Toro Negro es el hogar de los 3 cerros ⛰ más altos de toda la isla de Puerto Rico ????????:
1. Cerro de Punta con 1,338 metros de altura, siendo el pico más alto de toda la isla.
2. Cerro Monte Jayuya con 1,315 metros.
3. Cerro Rosa con 1,267 metros.

Situado en lo que podríamos llamar el corazón de Puerto Rico. Limita al norte con Ciales, Morovis y Corozal, al sur con Juana Díaz, Villalba y Coamo, al oeste con Ciales, al este con Barranquitas.
Orocovis se conoce como Pueblo de El Corazón, fue fundado el día 10 de noviembre de 1825 su fundador fue Juan Rivera de Santiago. El municipio debe su nombre al cacique Orocobix que gobernaba parte de ese territorio. Para 1825 ya se contaban en la zona unas 75 familias, que por encontrarse muy alejadas de la zona urbana decidieron formar un pueblo. La iglesia parroquial fue elegida en 1838.

Hi and Welcome to our channel. Today we are sharing with you some Must-See places in Puerto Rico in an Epic Road trip through the mountains of the Island. We are taking you to Hacienda Tres Picachos for a delicious Coffee, then we will take you to an awesome Taíno Museum and later to an amazing breathtaking Canyon!

OUR FUN TORO NEGRO ADVENTURE AND CHARCO DONA JUANA!
Our first stop is Café Tres Picachos! Established in 1960, the family-owned Hacienda Tres Picachos is a must stop if you are in Jayuya. The Hacienda is surrounded by a breathtaking view of the Tres Picachos Mountains and full of historical antiques and objects related to Taino and Puerto Rican culture.
Piedra escrita translates roughly as Engraved Stone. The area is a large, protected park with a good parking lot and a beautiful long boardwalk that takes you to the river, so getting there is quite accessible. The Piedra escrita itself is right in the river at the end of the boardwalk.
El Cemi Museum, devoted to ancient religious artifacts of the Taino culture.
Canon Blanco is a water carved canyon on the caonillas river. The bright white color, smooth texture and interesting shapes of the towering rocks make it a truly unique landscape in Puerto Rico and in the whole world. The most famous boulder in the canyon is called El Sofa because it looks like a huge couch.

Este charco se encuentra localizado en el Área Recreacional Toro Negro en el Barrio Ala de la Piedra en la carretera PR-143 la famosa Ruta Panorámica de Puerto Rico ????????.
Es de fácil acceso, una caminata de tan solo 6 minutos toma aproximadamente para llegar a este paraíso desde el estacionamiento. Al llegar notarás que todo lo que te rodea es un ambiente húmedo y abundante en fauna y flora, toda una experiencia asombrosa.
Se recomienda no dejar objetos de valor en sus vehículos y verificar el clima antes de visitarlo para evitar las crecientes.
* Nota el Área Recreacional es muy extensa donde podrás descubrir muchísimas bellezas, te invito a que lo explores ????????.
