Travel to Orillia Ontario... what a nice surprise!
Today (mid-March 2022), we visited the artistic city of Orillia, Ontario.
Orillia is most famous for being where the iconic singer songwriter Gordon Lightfoot was born and raised. Of course, there are many more famous Orillians. You may, or may not know internationally known writer Stephen Leacock calls Orillia home. Leacock's former house is now a popular museum. And, we can't forget one of Canada’s leading painters, Franklin Carmichael of the Group of Seven, was also from Orillia.
It was a short visit for us, but this is a city with lots to offer, as it's a popular area for cottaging. With a beautiful waterfront and a large downtown shopping area, it's a small city that is worth a closer look. Thanks for joining.
