How to get there: You can visit Abashiri as a day/overnight trip from Sapporo, the journey takes approximately 3.5 hours by train. The limited express train Okhotsk operated by JR Hokkaido connects Sapporo and Abashiri. There are also coach tours available from nearby cities. Once you arrive in Abashiri, there are also some other activities you can do like the following:
1. Take a cruise on the Abashiri Drift Ice: Embark on a unique cruise experience during winter to witness the incredible drift ice phenomenon in
2. Visit the Abashiri Prison Museum: Explore the former prison and learn about its history through interactive exhibits, including a replica of a prison cell and displays showcasing the life of inmates.
3. The Sea of Okhotsk. Admire the floating ice formations and the breathtaking views all along the coastline.

Wakkanai is located on the island of Hokkaido and also has the claim to fame of being the northernmost city in all of Japan. It also encompasses the neighboring Soya region and many domestic travelers come here to check out the snowy scenery and the slower pace of life here.
As this is the northernmost spot in the country, there are a range of attractions dedicated to marking this feat of geography, and you can also check out a range of northern animals such as cute seals. As you would imagine, you can also enjoy winter sports here such as skiing and there are a range of resorts that are located close to Wakkanai.
The scenery in this part of the country is also unparallel and you can spend time biking in the region and whizzing up and down rolling green hillsides that look out over sparkling waters as #wakkanai is located next to the sea.

Shiroi Koibito Park in Sapporo, Hokkaido isa chocolate entertainment park operated by a Japanese confectionery manufacturer which produces Shiroi Koibito one of the famous sweets in Japan. The park is a beautiful world where British and Hokkaido cultures merge. Otaru canal is a beautiful canal lined by old warehouses. The canal makes for a pleasant stroll during the day, and during the evenings the old fashioned gas lamps are lit which provide a romantic atmosphere. Hoheikyo Dam is a great sightseeing spot. If you climb to the top of the dam, you will be able to look over onto Lake Sapporo. This is a little-known great spot for seeing the autumn leaves. Moiwayama is located in the middle of Sapporo City at an altitude of 531m. From the top of the mountain, you can see the beautiful panoramic view of the cityscape of Sapporo.

Obihiro Station (帯広駅, Obihiro-eki) is the main railway station in the city of Obihiro in Hokkaido, Japan. It is located on the Nemuro Main Line and is managed by Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido). Originally built in 1905, the station was rebuilt in 1996, but part of the original tracks that ran past the old Obihiro Station can still be seen on the north side of the station.
Obihiro (帯広市, Obihiro-shi) is a city in Tokachi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. Obihiro is the only designated city in the Tokachi area. As of February 29, 2020, the city has an estimated population of 165,851. The next most populous municipality in Tokachi is the adjacent town of Otofuke, with less than a third of Obihiro's population. The city had approximately 500 foreign residents in 2008. The city contains the headquarters of the Fifth Division of the Northern Army of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. It also hosts the Rally Japan World Rally Championship-event.
In 2008, Obihiro was designated a model environmental city in Japan.
