Top Things to Do in Sedona, AZ

Check out excursions you can do on your trip at the link below:

The moment you come to Sedona, Arizona, you will know that you’re somewhere special. From the stunning scenery, to unique landmarks and natural water adventures, Sedona has everything you could possibly ask for. Whether it’s a family vacation or an adventure holiday, you won’t be disappointed. With everything that Sedona has to offer, it can be tough to know how best to prioritize the time you have. That’s not a problem, we have put together a list of the top fourteen things to do in Sedona, Arizona.

For example, the Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village is not simply a tourist attraction, but a wonderful oasis of serenity. It’s certainly worth spending a few hours of your time here to truly enjoy it. Tlaquepaque has been a landmark of Sedona since the 1970s and is known as the most distinctive shopping experience in the Southwest. Strolling through this place with its cobblestone walkways, stucco walls and stunning architecture will make you feel like you’re in another country all together.

Another example on our list is one for the passionate hiker. Devil’s Bridge Trail is one of the best hikes in Sedona and Devil’s Bridge is the largest natural sandstone arch in the Sedona area. While it’s a four mile round trip hike to the natural bridge itself, it’s worth every step. The hike is very manageable for someone in decent shape. Once you approach the climb to the bridge, that’s when the real adventure begins, with some very steep stairs and a bit of a climb that’ll get you on all fours. While there aren’t any guard rails, don’t be alarmed. The surface of the bridge is large enough to feel safe. With the length of the hike and the scorching heat, remember to bring enough water.

Sit back, enjoy this video and start planning your trip of a lifetime.

Top 10 Best Things to Do in Sedona, Arizona [Sedona Travel Guide 2023]

Sedona is at the bottom of Oak Creek Canyon, close to Flagstaff in Arizona. It is in a region where human life has existed for more than 10,000 years. In those days, the population comprised hunter-gatherers who began basic farming. The Spanish first arrived in the 16th century on an expedition to seek out the wealth of Native American mines. They did not settle then, and the beginnings of Sedona itself appeared in the second half of the 19th century.

50 Best Places to Visit in the USA - Travel Video

Comprised of 50 states, the USA occupies an area that’s only just marginally smaller than Europe. It’s in this vast country that you will find an unbelievably diverse array of natural landscapes, cityscapes, people and cultures. From the tropical islands of Hawaii to the desert landscape of the Grand Canyon, as well as the multicultural cities such as Chicago and New York City, you’ll never be stuck for destinations to discover. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in the USA:

My FAVORITE hike in Sedona....But everyone misses the best part!

My FAVORITE hike in Sedona....But everyone misses the best part!

Ah, Sedona. If you watch this channel, you have seen a bunch of hikes around there. My Gaia looks like a spiderweb up there. We've been all over Sedona. But one of our first hikes remains my favorite: West Fork.

The West Fork starts at the Call of the Canyon Trailhead, just north of Sedona. It's popular. It's well known. Pretty much everyone who asks what they should hike in Sedona is unnundated with responses of West Fork/Call of the Canyon.

As such, it attracts crowds. Lots of crowds. If you think you're going to go hike West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon at noon, good luck. You're most likely going to be met with a full parking lot.

If you are lucky (or early) enough to get a parking spot, you'll probably go in a mile. Or three. Most people get to the 'end of trail' sign and call it a day.

That's unfortunate. Because JUST beyond the 'end of the maintained trail' sign is the best part. The canyon narrows up. Sure, you have to get your feet wet, but it's worth it. The crowds die off, and you get to experience the best parts of the cayon...usually with few, if any, people.

Oh...and you can backpack it. We backpack the West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon every year. Because we're lucky enough to have it close to home, and know it well. Which is even more special when you realize that people travel from all over the world to see this place. And it's our back yard.

So if you're in Sedona and looking for those secret places, this one is hidden right in front of you. One of the most popular places in the Red Rock Wilderness, with some of the most incredible, hidden secrets out there. West Fork/Call of the Canyon can't be beat. It's been our favorite hike in the area for years, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Oh....And I should mention....No. I won't tell you were our campsite is. Sorry, but not really sorry. We found it. You're going to have to do the same on your own. If you happen to stumble upon it, that's awesome. But if not, there are plenty of other great sites out there for you.
