Kodachadri is a mountain peak with dense forests in the Western Ghats in South India, 78km from Shimoga. It is declared as natural heritage site by the Karnataka Government. and it is 13th highest peak of Karnataka.
Agumbe is a high-altitude village in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. Surrounded by the Western Ghats mountains and lush rainforest, it’s known its many waterfalls, such as Onake Abbi, Bakarna and Jogi Gundi falls. The Sunset View Point overlooks forested valleys. Nearby is Sri Venugopala Krishna Swamy Temple. To the south, tigers, leopards and king cobras live in Someshwara Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Barkana Falls, formed by Seetha River, is a water falls located near Agumbe in Shimoga district of state of Karnataka, India and the water falls is among the ten highest waterfalls in India. This water fall region is filled with water only during rainy season.
Gudavi Bird Sanctuary is located in the Soraba taluk of Sagara Subdivision in the Indian state of Karnataka, on the Banavasi Road, 16.01 km from Sorab town. It is spread over an area of 0.74 square km. As per a 2009 survey, 217 different species of birds belonging to 48 families are found at this place.
Tiger and Lion Safari, Thyavarekoppa, Shimoga is located the state of Karnataka, India, with an area of 250 hectares, at a distance of about 10.0 km from Shimoga town, and 275.0 km from Bangalore. Started in 1988, it is Karnataka's second safari park, after Bannerghatta National Park near Bangalore.
Koodli is a small village in Shimoga District, in the Indian state of Karnataka. Koodli is the place where two rivers, the Tunga River and Bhadra River, meet to give rise to the Tungabhadra River.
The Government Museum (Shivappa Nayaka Palace) named after the popular 17th century king Shivappa Nayaka of the Keladi Nayaka dynasty is located in Shivamogga city, the district headquarters of the Shivamogga district in the Karnataka state, India
The Linganamakki Dam was constructed by the Karnataka State Government in 1964. Located in the Kargal village of Sagara taluk, the dam has a length of 2.74 kilometres stretching across the Sharavathi river. It is located about 6 km from Jog Falls.
Kundadri is a hill with dense forests in the Western Ghats located in Shimoga District Karnataka State, India.It is 70 km from Udupi city. This hill is known for 17th century Jain temple dedicated to thirthankara and the place is known to have given shelter to Acharya Kundakunda during earlier centuries.

Shimoga, officially known as Shivamogga, is a city and the district headquarters of Shimoga district in the central part of the state of Karnataka, India.

The city lies on the banks of the Tunga River. Being the gateway for the hilly region of the Western Ghats, the city is popularly nicknamed as Gateway to Malnad (ಮಲೆನಾಡಿನ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಗಿಲು). The population of Shimoga city is 322,650 as per 2011 census. The city has been selected for the Smart Cities project, standing in the fourth position in the state and 25th in the country as of November 2020.

The city is 569 m above sea level and is surrounded by lush green paddy fields, arecanut and coconut groves. It is located 267 km from the state capital Bangalore and 195 km from the port city Mangalore

They have a well maintained zoo and they also conduct bus and jeep safari inside the lion and tiger reserves of tyavarekoppa. They have dedicated zones for lion, tiger and the innocent deers so that they don’t start fighting or hunting.

This Amulya Shodha museum was established by retired history lecturer H Kandobarav, for the true love of his wife.

The museum is also known as, the Valentine's Monument or it is a museum
Dedicated to lovers of the Upland.

The Amulya Shodha , as the name suggests, is an a valuable search for lost values and the culture of the past.

Now we are at the entrance of the museum. The entrance fee here is 50 rupees and I would say it is worth paying because we are going to see the most valuable things here.

The combination of green plants and saffron colored building makes this place very beautiful.

Beautiful small statues are placed on the side of this path. Wow ... I'm impressed with this place.

This is retired history lecturer H Khandobarao's love affair.
He fell in love with a colleague yashodha who was teaching history at Shimoga College.

Wherever we look in this museum we can see the art of the country, Inscriptions,Manuscripts, monuments, beautiful rare sculptures and rare coins from ancient times.

This museum has a collection of coins, weapons, paintings, manuscripts used by the kings of the past.

He wants to raise awareness among young people(youth) about the importance(significance)of lost heritage, culture of the previous era through his museum.Thus young people (aspires)want to become more aware of our culture and heritage.

When we turn over the pages of history we come across many kings,They went to the battlefield to defend their kingdom and expand it

As we turn over the pages of history, we come across many kings, who took to the battlefield to either retain their kingdom or to expand it.We know about these things in this museum.

When we talk about love and history, only one king is more remembered, He is Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal in memory of his wife Mumtaz mahal.
The monument has been a source of inspiration for lovers around the world for several centuries. its not wonder then H Khandobarao, a retired history lecturer better known as 'Shah Jahan of Shimoga'.

He has built his Taj mahal in the name of Amulya Shodha Muzium in Shimoga, Karnataka.

On this wall we can see a poem written about love and previous culture. It is in kannada language and I am gonna read this as it is to retain the beauty of this language. Please comment if you are able to translate this poem in meaning full way in other languages.

Not only inside of the museum, but also outside of the museum we can see lot of interesting and beautiful things.

on a one acre farm near the Lakkinakoppa circle on NR Pura road, 12 km from Shimoga in the fond memory of his wife,yashodha,who was also history lecturer,.she passed away in 2007 due to kidney failure.

It showcases rare paintings of Ravi Varma, coins, inscriptions, manuscripts, weapons, all used by popular kings. The history professor collected these artefacts from various parts of the country.

Apart from this spreads the fragrance of deep love on the loving wife Yashoda.

Khandobarao did his schooling and college in Shimoga. Yashodha was his neighbour during his college days. Both of them studied at the Sahyadri College together. Acquaintance turned into friendship, and later, love. They got married in 1972. Khandobarao began his career as high school teacher in 1968.

After serving for nearly five years of service, he was promoted to history lecturer at the National pre-university College in Shimoga.

His wife worked as a history lecturer at Kamala Nehru women's college.His wife would often say that the Taj Mahal was not only a symbol of true love, but also soul of true lovers.Inspired by her thought, he made up his mind to build a museum on a one-acre farm after the death of his wife in 2007

Through this museum he wants to create awareness among the youth about the importance of the heritage and culture of the earlier period. So, young people will learn more about our culture and heritage.
