Things to do in Shizuoka, Japan - Shizuoka Day trip vlog
Shizuoka prefecture in Japan is a perfect place for a day trip! So much to do and places to visit in Shizuoka, but in this vlog, we show Asagiri Food Park, Makaino Farm, and Gotemba Premium Outlets.
We didn't plan or didn't even know about Asagiri Food Park, but it's such an amazing find. The whole Asagiri area is very beautiful and full of lush trees. You can fly your drone in some areas and they have a parachute landing area too!
Makaino Farm is such a fun place! Not only is it family friendly, it's also great for solo or couples. Many people bring their dogs too, with a 300yen (~$3) admission for your furbaby of course. There is a horse riding for kids, tractor tours, barn, feeding stations, archery, ATV rentals, and so much more! 2 hours really isn't enough.
Gotemba Premium Outlets is pretty far from the two places about but it's still in Shizuoka. We chose to stop here because it was on the way home and we wanted to check it out. There's so many stores in this outlet and on a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji! This place is serious heaven for shoppers!
Looking forward to going back to Shizuoka and exploring a different area next time! So much to do, so little time :)

Staying in Spherical Tent Hotel in Japan’s Nature-Rich Park | INN THE PARK Numazu
INN THE PARK is a hotel combined with a park based on the concept of a park where you can stay.
It is a renovation of a building that was used as a forest school in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The building itself has a history of more than 40 years, but it was very clean and beautiful.
We stayed in a spherical tent suspended from a tree. It was very soothing for us to be surrounded by so much nature.

It has been a while since we have taken a photo outside the Tokyo metropolitan area. I started from Numazu Station in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It was raining heavily, so I walked around the Takashimacho area on the north side of Numazu Station and the shopping arcade on the south side of the station. I got the impression that there were not so many people on the street because of the rain.

Located less than hour from Tokyo, start discovering Izu Peninsula by visiting picturesque Atami City located right between ocean and mountains. It is impossible to overlook Atami castle. However, this castle is not so old – it was built in 1959 as a tourist attraction and is a home to a museum. Another tourist attraction is the Atami Plum Garden. Opened in 1886, it contains over 470 trees and the peak of the flower-viewing season is from late January to mid-February. If you want to experience cherry blossom season, celebrate Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival from early February to early March. The atmosphere is one for the bucket list. This is Mishima Skywalk – a great place for those who like stunning views and are not afraid of heights. From this 400-meter-long bridge, which is the longest suspension bridge in Japan, you can even see Mount Fuji. One of the most popular beaches of Izu peninsula is white-sand Shirahama beach. It extends 800 meters and has crystal clear blue water. It is extremely popular among tourists as well as locals. You can enjoy great time with your friends here right next to the torii gate located on the rock. Watching sunset from this spot is unforgettable. When you walk along the Jogasaki Coast – a beautiful 9 km long section of Izu coastline - you will fall in love with its dramatic scenery. A view from the 18-meter-high Kadowaki suspension bridge is a dream of every photographer.
