While Canada is a country that’s teeming with incredible places to live, we think there are a few towns and cities that sit above the rest. Sometimes it’s because a place boasts incredible art and culture. Other times it’s because of the outdoor activities and scenic nature you can find. And often, it’s about the cost of living, the cost of housing, and general safety.

There are so many things that you should factor in when deciding where you should live. And different things are important to different people. So this video includes a nice variety of Canadian cities and towns that rank the highest on our list. Canada is a diverse country, not only in terms of its population but also in the huge variety of cities and towns. Whether you’re looking for the hustle and bustle of a major metropolitan city like Vancouver, to the more chill, beach vibe of a place like Trenton, Nova Scotia, Canada has it all. And there is a pretty big variety of cost of living too, so you can tailor your choice of cities or towns to what makes sense for you financially.

If you’re considering a move to Canada, it’s vital to research the ins and outs of all the potential places to move to. And of course, if you already live in Canada, you might be familiar with some of these places already. But it’s good to still do your research to see how they fit in with what you’re currently looking for in a Canadian city or town. So check out this video today to find out about our list of the best places to live in Canada!

INVERNESS, SCOTLAND (2023) | 9 Fun Things To Do In & Around Inverness & Loch Ness

Inverness is located on Scotland’s northeast coast and is considered the cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands. It’s a fairly small and compact city with an abundance of places to stay, eat, and shop. In this video, we highlight 9 fun things to do in & around Inverness:

9. Walk the waterfront & Ness Islands
One of the most peaceful things to do in Inverness is to stroll around its beautiful waterfront area to the Ness Islands. You can start your walk in the city center and follow both banks of the river in an easy 3 km or 2 mi loop.

8. Hit the pub at night
For a classic Highland pub experience, head to one of the many pubs on Church Street: Highlander, Hootananny, Gellions, and more!

7. Visit Inverness Cathedral
Another fun thing to do in Inverness is to visit Inverness Cathedral, located on the banks of the River Ness. Built in 1869, this historic building is one of the prettiest cathedrals in all of Scotland. You can also visit the inside for a small fee.

6. Admire Leakey’s bookshop
If you’re into reading books, then Leakey’s bookshop is a must-visit. This is Scotland’s largest second-hand bookshop and you can find anything here, from contemporary paperbacks to vintage prints, books, and maps.

5. Do a whisky tasting
Scotland is famous for its whisky and Scottish people are very proud of this sophisticated drink. In Inverness, you can find whiskey at any bar or pub. We did a whiskey tasting at the Malt Room, which offers over 200 different malt whiskies for tasting.

4. Shop souvenirs at the Victorian Market
Built in 1890, the covered Victorian Market houses a variety of shops selling unique handmade gifts, art, and crafts. There are also a number of cafés and dining experiences here. It’s a great place to shop Scottish souvenirs.

3. Visit the nearby Clava Cairns & Culloden Battlefield
This prehistoric site is a well-preserved Bronze Age cemetery complex that dates back to around 2000 BC. There are three different large cairns that can be visited and it’s entirely free. Nearby, you can also find the Culloden Battlefield & Viaduct, which played a significant role in Scottish History. It’s easy to combine both in one visit.

2. Spot Nessie at Loch Ness
Located only a short drive from Inverness, Loch Ness is home to the legendary monster called Nessie, which is said to live in the deep, murky waters. Fort Augustus is situated on the southern tip of Loch Ness, offering boat tours and spectacular views.

☑️ Loch Ness day tour from Inverness:
☑️ Loch Ness boat tour from Dochgarroch (13 mins drive from Inverness):

1. Visit Urquhart Castle
Finally, along the north shore of Loch Ness, you’ll find the ruins of spectacular Urquhart Castle.

⭐ BONUS: Isle of Skye & Eilean Donan Castle
☑️ Day tour to Eilean Donan & the Isle of Skye:

We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

We also visit a very well known beach in Pictou County that so many people had recommended as their favourite beach in Nova Scotia, Melmerby Beach.  We spend a few hours enjoying an afternoon at the beach and fly the drone for a better view.

Lastly on our way home from the beach we pick up a slice of Pictou County Pizza at Sam's Pizza Trenton, another thing that so many people had told us to try. We stop at Powell's Point Provincial Park to eat our pizza.

Visit Glasgow Scotland - Travel Guide | 90+ Countries with 3 Kids

Join us as we visit the charming city of Glasgow, Scotland.

We stayed in a nearby town called Peebles where we stayed at a lovely home exchange.

We did a city tour of Glasgow and started in the city center and then made our way over to Clyde River.

From there we visited their famous shopping street is the national cultural hub with beautiful museums, art galleries, concert venues, and festivals.

We discovered why their statues all over the city have cones on their heads.

Scotland’s largest city, Glasglow is bursting with amazing places to visit. While it may not feature as many iconic landmarks as Edinburgh, Glasglow will still make you swoon at the number of museums and galleries you can visit for free!

From well-known attractions such as Glasgow Cathedral to hidden gems like the Glasgow University, this beautiful city is well worth visiting.

We hope you enjoy the video.
