Netrokona is a district of the Mymensingh Division in northern Bangladesh.
The headquarters of Netrokona District was located at the end of the Mogra River and was called Natorkona. Many people believe that over a period of time, Natorkona became Netrakona.

Durgapur : The Garo hills of Durgapur is the most popular tourist attraction of Netrakona.
Birishiri : There is a Tribal Cultural Academy. And also have a historical big pond called Sagor Dighi.
Haor : Haor is a large area of water spaces. Biggest haor is located in Mohongonj and Khaliajuri . Dingaputa is one of the biggest haor among them.
Madanpur Mazar (Shah Sultan Rumi): It is situated 8 km south to the Netrokona Town.

৫ই জুলাই বুধবার আমরা মহাখালি বাস টারমিনাল থেকে রাত ১০.৩০ মিনিটের সালমান পরিবহনের বাসে করে রওনা দিয়েছিলাম কলমাকান্দার উদ্দেশ্যে ভাড়া লেগেছিল জনপ্রতি ৪৫০ টাকা। সকাল সকাল কলমাকান্দা পৌঁছে আমরা জনপ্রতি ৫০ টাকায় নাস্তা করে ২ টি বাইক রিজার্ভ করি যার জন্য ভাড়া লেগেছে ১ টি বাইকে ৯০০ টাকা আর ১ টি মোট ২ জন বসা যায় তারমানে জনপ্রতি ৪৫০ টাকা ঘুরে দেখেছি পাঁচগাও,পাতলাবন,সাতশহিদের মাজার,মোমিনের টিলা , বিকাল ৫ টার মধ্যে সবকটি স্পট ঘুরে আমরা চলে আসি কলমাকান্দা বাজারে এরপর এখানে এসে এস এস ট্রাভেলস্ এবং এস আর পরিবহনের টিকিট কাউন্টারে গিয়ে জানতে পারি কলমাকান্দা বাজার থেকে সরাসরি ঢাকায় আসতে চাইলে অপেক্ষা করতে হবে রাত ৯.৩০ মিনিটের বাসের জন্য । এখেএে ভারা লাগবে জনপ্রতি ৪৫০ টাকা। যেহেতু অনেকটা সময় এখানে অপেক্ষা করতে হবে তাই আমরা দেরি না করে কলমাকান্দা বাজার থেকে একটি সিএনজি নিয়ে জনপ্রতি ১৩০ টাকা ভাড়া দিয়ে চলে যাই নেএকনা বাসস্টান্ডে এরপর নেএকনা বাস স্টান্ড থেকে ঢাকার মহাখালি গামী বাসে উঠে পরি এখেএে ভাড়া লেগেছিল জনপ্রতি ৪০০ টাকা।
এই ভ্রমণের সকল খরচসমূহ:
মহাখালী-কলমাকান্দা বাস ভাড়া : ৪৫০ টাকা
সকালের নাস্তা : ৫০ টাকা
বাইক ভারা (৯০০÷২)জনপ্রতি : ৪৫০ টাকা।
দুপুরের খাবার : ১৫০ টাকা।
আসার সময় ভাড়া : ৫৩০ টাকা।
রাতের খাবার : ১৫০ টাকা।

ট্রেনে ট্রেনে ঘুরে আসুন ভারতের বর্ডার পাশে বাংলাদেশে কাশ্মির বিরিশিরি। এক দিনে ঘুরে আসতে পারবেন সবুজে ঘেরা নীল পানির লেক। পাশে আছে মেঘালয়ের গারো পাহাড় থেকে ছুটে আশা সোমেশ্বরী নদীর বালি চরে। ইচ্ছা করলে নদীতে নৌকা দিয়ে ঘুরতেও পারেন, ঘাসে ঘেরা ছোট ছোট চিনা মাটির বেগুনি পাথরের টিলার মাঝে রয়েছে সচ্ছ পানির নীল লেক। একটু দূর থেকে দেখা যায় ভারতের পাহাড়ের মনোরম সবুজ দৃশ্য। বিকেলের লালা আকাশের মনে হয় পাহাড়ারের মাঝে সূর্য হারিয়ে যাচ্ছে ।

#চীনামাটির_পাহাড়_বিজয়পুরঃ বাংলাদেশের নেত্রকোনা জেলার দুর্গাপুর উপজেলার কুল্লাগড়া ইউনিয়নের একটি আকর্ষণীয় পর্যটন স্থান। এটি প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যের জন্য বিখ্যাত। বিজয়পুরের শসারপাড় এলাকায় সাদামাটি পাওয়া যায়; যা সারাদেশে পাঠানো হয়। বিজয়পুরের সাদামাটি বাংলাদেশের একটি ভৌগোলিক নির্দেশক পণ্য (জিআই)।

ময়মনসিংহ বিভাগের নেত্রকোনা জেলার দূর্গাপুর উপজেলা সদর থেকে সাত কিলোমিটার দূরে বিজয়পুর গ্রামটি অবস্থিত। বিজয়পুর একটি সীমান্তবর্তী গ্রাম; এখানে বিজিবির সীমান্তফাঁড়ি রয়েছে। এর পার্শ্ববর্তী গ্রামগুলো হচ্ছে মাইজপাড়া, আড়াপাড়া ও বহেরাতলী।
#প্রকৃত পক্ষে এই এলাকার প্রায় সব গ্রামেই সাদা মাটি পাওয়া গেলেও বিজয়পুর বেশি জনপ্রিয় তার প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যের জন্যেই।বিজয়পুরের মূল আকর্ষণ সাদামাটির পাহাড় হলেও এখানে নীল পানির জলাশয় দেখা যায়। অনেক উঁচু উঁচু টারশিয়ারী পাহাড়ে সমৃদ্ধ বিজয়পুর। পাহাড়ের পাদদেশে বিভিন্ন রহস্যময় গুহাও চোখে পড়ে: সম্ভবত মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সময় মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা গুহাগুলোতে অবস্থান নেয়। সীমান্তফাঁড়ির পাশে পাহাড়ে ওঠার ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে; এখান থেকে সোমেশ্বরী নদীর সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করা যায়।
#নেত্রকোনা জেলার দূর্গাপুর উপজেলা সদর এবং বিরিশিরি এই দুটি জায়গাই সোমেশ্বরী নদীর মাধ্যমে বিজয়পুর থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন। নদী পার হয়ে শিবগঞ্জ থেকে কামারখালী হয়ে বিজয়পুরে যেতে হয়। তাছাড়া সোমেশ্বরী নদী হয়ে নৌকা করেও কামারখালী পর্যন্ত যাওয়া যায়।

Simsang River is a major river in the Garo Hills of Meghalaya and Netrakona District of Bangladesh. It divides the Garo Hills into two parts. Simsang River is main source of water for agricultural activities people living in the Simsang River banks. It is the longest and largest river in Garo Hills region of Meghalaya.
In Bangladesh it flows through the Susang-Durgapur and other areas of Netrakona District till it flows into the Kangsha River. A branch of the river flows towards Kalmakanda and meets the Balia River. Another branch of the river flows into the haor areas of Sunamganj District and flows into the Surma River It is one of Bangladesh's trans-boundary rivers.

Location1 - Netrokona district: in northern Bangladesh. It is a part of Mymensingh Division.There are five main rivers in Netrakona: Kangsha,Someshawri,Dhala, Magra, and Teorkhali. Netrokona Pouroshabha (Town of Netrakona) is a municipal town, established in 1887 and with an area of 13.63 km².
Heritage Site:
01. Rowailbari Mughal Masque & Archelogical site (Fort) Kenduya Netrokona
Location 2 - Kishoreganj, district: in central Bangladesh, once called Haybatnogor in the ruins of Mughal era. It was an area in the kingdom of the Kamrupa. Pala, Varman & Sena kings ruled this area or part of it during 11th & 12th century. After their demise, few petty independent kingdoms arose under the Koch, Hajong, Garo and Rajbanshi. During 1491 AD the greater part of Mymensingh was included within the Muslim rule under Firoz Shah, Kishoreganj remained outside. During the reign of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, some of the major parts was included in the Mughal Empire including Jangalbari and Egarosindur remained under the Ahom and Koch kings. In 1538 AD, Mughals conquered Egarasindhur by defeating the Ahom king and in 1580, Isa Khan defeated the Koch Chief of Jungalbari. The episode of the conflict between the Mughal Commander Man Singh and Isa Khan, the Chief of the Bara-Bhuiyans (twelve landlords) in 1580, defeated Man Singh, after the death of Isa Khan in 1599. Kishoreganj was under the rule of his son Musa khan, ultimately seceded to the Mughals.

Birishiri is situated at Susang Durgapur upazila of Netrokona district in Bangladesh, close to the border between Bangladesh and India. It’s about 175 km north from Dhaka. It's a wonderful place with river, garo, ceramic hills, small mountains, green countryside etc. Things to do for a traveler in Netrokona tour or, the main attractions of Birishiri are;

It’s not only blessed by the above, is also reach in ethnic culture as there are many ethnic groups like – Hajong, Garo, Achik and Mandi etc lives here. There is also an ethnic museum at Birishiri.
The best way to get in here is by road. You will find direct bus to Birishiri from Mohakhali bus stand at Dhaka and it takes 5 hours to get there. The last 30 km road from Samganj to Birisiri is not well constructed. But if you take Mymenshing- Netrokona-Kalmakanda-Durgapur rout (it takes 6 hours from Dhaka) the roads are ok.
Rickshw is the only transport to go around. Nearly all local roads are muddy. It is advised to visit the tourists spot in rickshaws as the pullers know all the places very well and it is not possible for a new comer to find these tourists spots by themselves.
Now a days some guest houses and hotels are available at Birisiri and Durgapur. But upto now it is not at per standard. You can also find rooms of Shorna Guest House in Durgapur. Rates are reasonable. Fooding is also a problem in Birisiri. You will not find any standard hotel there. Still you will have a nice memories of its magnetic natural beauties when you will come back from there.

Most Beautiful Place In Bangladesh Bijoypur Netrokona
Bijoypur is located on the calm river Someshwari near the Bangladesh-India border in Durgapur police station of Kulagra upazila of Netrokona district. In a word, the surrounding environment is captivating. From here you can see the hills in the Indian part and if you are lucky you can see the clouds floating on the hill. The rainy season is the best time to visit here.
The BGB members stationed at the camp will not allow you to go beyond the designated boundary of the camp, but you will be able to get closer to the border by avoiding the camp and taking further detours.
You can experience boating on the river next to the camp. Although there is no separate boat for boat travel, you can travel in a boat that collects coal from the river. Of course for this you have to satisfy the boatman.

Netrokona District Information
Netrokona is a district under Mymensingh Division. It is in the Northern part of Bangladesh, Near the Himalayan border. It was turned into a district in 1984. Netrokona Pouroshaba (Main City ) consists of 9 wards and 33 mahallas. There are four rivers in Netrokona. They are Kangsha, Dhala, Magra, and Teorkhali.
Upazilas
There are 10 Upazilas in this district. They are Atpara, Barhatta, Durgapur, Kalmakanda, Kendua, Khaliajuri, Madan, Mohanganj, Netrokona Sadar, and Purbadhala. Durgapur Upazila, near the Indian border.
Border
The district is bounded by Kishoreganj district on the south, the Meghalaya state of India on the north, Sunamganj district on the east and Mymensingh district on the west.
