Yamagata prefecture's only a couple of hours away from Tokyo on the bullet train, so it'd be easy to spend a few days in Tokyo, then move north to Tohoku for a few days and see a different side of Japan, in the countryside and the mountains. Here's my wishlist of things I'd like to do there, including Yamadera, a temple in the mountains with a beautiful view, Ginzan Onsen, Mount Zao and its snow monsters, a wasabi farm, a sightseeing river cruise and local specialties: Yonezawa beef, cherries and soba noodles.

I LOVED this place just because it was an open-air exhibit and you could just spend so much time in a surreal environment.
The microcosms area was my favorite but there are so many other artworks to check out because Nagai Park is Huge!
We stopped by to get some food first at YanMar Marche - Roast beef Rice plate and Veggie curry.

長居 スポーツの街 Osaka Night Walk - Nagai City Of Sports 4K Japan
長居を散策しました。
ここは広い敷地の長居公園が有名ですね。
長居陸上競技場はセレッソ大阪がホームスタジアムとして使っていますが、
大型のコンサートにもこの競技場は使われています。
私の出身中学校と高校は大阪のど真ん中だったので運動場が小さく、
運動会の時は長居公園の競技場を借りて行っていました????
なので長居は私にとって毎年訪れる場所でした。
しかし長居の街はほとんど歩いたことがなかったのでちゃんと歩くのは今回が初めてです。
歩いてみると長居は競技場がメインで普通の下町の印象でした????
サムネイルの場所はかつて詐欺や患者を虐待死させた安田病院があった場所です。

本チャンネルでも何度も紹介している長野市西部の山村地域、いわゆる「西山地区」には、大小無数の集落が点在し、まさに”信州の原風景”が残されている地です。
今回は、信州新町中心部から中条日高地区を経由し七二会大安寺地区まで、犀川左岸の山地を縦断するルートを走ってみました。
ルートの後半、茂菅集落から先の市道長井線は、旧大町街道の道筋で、別名「峰街道」とも呼ばれています。善光寺と”塩の道”こと千国街道を結ぶ道で、善光寺・戸隠への参詣道として多くの人々に利用されていました。明治に入り、土尻川沿いに新大町街道、現在の主要地方道大町長野線が開通してからはこの街道を利用する人は激減してしまいましたが、現在は住民の生活道路として重要な役割を果たしています。
この峰街道を信州の代表する観光資源としてとらえ、その歴史的・景観的・生活的価値を後世につなげることを目的として、有志により「峰街道の会」が結成され、ルートの整備や各種イベント開催等の活動が行われています。

A Japanese castle in Chuo-ku. One of Japan's most famous and it played a major role in the unification of Japan during the sixteenth century of the Azuchi-Momoyama period. The castle grounds, which cover approximately 60,000 square meters (15 acres), contain thirteen structures.
02. Universal Studios Japan
One of four Universal Studios theme parks. Opened on March 31, 2001. The attractions are arranged in ten areas. In 2011, USJ's Christmas tree was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the most illuminated Christmas tree in the world having 260,498 lights.
03. Umeda Sky Building
Two 40-story towers that connect at their two uppermost stories, with bridges and an escalator crossing the wide atrium-like space in the center. One of the city's most recognizable landmarks. ocated in Kita-ku. Features a rooftop observatory, The Floating Garden Observatory.
04. Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan
An aquarium located in the ward of Minato. One of the largest public aquariums in the world. Displays marine life in several habitats comprising 27 tanks in 16 main exhibits with a total volume of 10,941 tons of water. 29,000 animals; 470 species.
05. Tennoji Park
A park with botanical garden. Founded in 1909. Covers an area of 28.8 hectares. Open except Monday and the next weekday when Monday is a holiday. Includes Osaka Municipal Museum of Art, Greenhouse, Keitakuen, and Chausuyama Tomb.
06. Tempozan Ferris Wheel
A ferris wheel. Has a height of 112.5 metres (369 ft) and diameter of 100 metres (330 ft). Opened to the public on July 12, 1997. as colored lights that provide a weather forecast for the next day: orange - a sunny day, green - a cloudy day and blue - rain.
07. Shitenno-ji
A Buddhist temple. Prince Shotoku invited three Korean Baekje carpenters, and they constructed this temple in 593. The first Buddhist and oldest officially administered temple in Japan. Sells some souvenirs of their products on the 21st of each month.
08. Tennoji Zoo
A zoo opened on January 1, 1915. Ffeatures adjacent savannah zones for herbivorous and carnivorous animals, which are arranged so that the animals appear to be sharing the same space. Located at Tennoji Park.
09. Nagai Botanical Garden
A botanical garden in the southeast corner of Nagai Park. The garden contains the Osaka Museum of Natural History as well as a 1,000 species collection of flowers and trees around a central pond. An admission fee is charged.
10. Osaka Science Museum
A science museum in Naka-no-shima. Opened in 1989, the museum was constructed to mark the 100th anniversary of Osaka City. Permanent exhibition consists of 4 floors of mainly interactive science exhibits, totaling 200 items, with each floor focusing on a different theme.

This is Mizunomori Water Botanical Garden Walking Tour. The Garden staff Hamanaka-san kindly guided us the beautiful water botanical garden in Shiga, just beside Biwako lake.

Be overwhelmed by the huge Victoria cruziana!
Join the tour and see the gorgeous view of very unique Water Lilly and Aquatic plants.
In this tour, we’ll walk through the Mizunomori Water Botanical Garden in Shiga prefecture, where you can see the variety of water plants.
The main feature in this garden is Victoria cruziana! You might have seen it before in a photo, but you’ll be amazed by the jumbo sized Water Lilly.
This botanical Garden is located at the lake side (Biwa-ko, the largest lake in Japan) . In this garden, there is a facility called Lotus hall where you can encounter a variety of water plants. You can enjoy this garden throughout the season.
* Shiga prefecture will be under the state of emergency from 27 Aug 2021. We have a permission to conduct the live tour for everyone who cannot visit this facility due to the corona pandemic. Hope you’ll enjoy the tour!
