高田城址公園は、新潟県上越市に位置する城郭跡で、「日本さくら名所100選」に選ばれています。三階櫓は高田城のシンボル的存在で、1993年 (平成5年) に再建されました。また、西堀にかかる西堀橋からの眺めは秀逸で妙高山（日本百名山）と桜並木の景観に誰もが足を止めます。西堀は蓮に覆われており、その開花時期には「蓮まつり」も開催されます。
高田公園は「日本三大夜桜」にも数えられ、三階櫓周辺のライトアップも有名です。
村松公園は、新潟県中部に位置する都市公園で、「日本さくら名所100選」に選定されています。池の周辺に日本庭園的な園地が整備されていて、人工の湿地にミズバショウも栽培されており、桜とほぼ同じ時期に見ごろを迎えます。桜並木とミズバショウ群落は見所の一つです。
村松公園は、明治39年に開園しており、広大な敷地に約3,000本の桜が植えられています。陸上競技場や野球場、市民プールなども併設され、スポーツも含めた総合公園として整備されています。また、公園内の愛宕山には、遊歩道と展望台が設けられ、赤松が美しく軽登山も楽しめます。園内の桜の９割近くはソメイヨシノですが、他にもピンクの濃いヨウコウなども見られます。
愛宕山の展望台付近からは五泉市の市街が望め、また山麓の桜と山腹の赤松の対比も美しいです。頂上付近には神社もあり、神聖な雰囲気です。
愛宕山山麓には比較的新しい桜並木があり、人通りも比較的少なく、静かな散策を楽しめます。ツツジ、牡丹、アジサイなどの四季折々の花も咲き、秋の紅葉も含め「花の公園」として有名です。

Takada Castle Ruins Park is located in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, and has been selected as one of the 100 Best Cherry Blossom Sites in Japan. The three-story turret is the symbol of Takada Castle and was rebuilt in 1993. The view from Nishibori Bridge over the west moat is superb, with Mt. Myoko (one of Japan's 100 Great Mountains) and the rows of cherry trees making everyone stop in their tracks. The west moat is covered with lotus trees, and a lotus festival is held when they are in bloom.
Takada Park is one of the Three Greatest Nighttime Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan and is also famous for the illumination of the area around the three-story turret.
Muramatsu Park is a city park located in central Niigata Prefecture and has been selected as one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan. A Japanese garden-like parkland is maintained around a pond, and Mizubasho (Asian skunk-cabbage) is also grown in an artificial wetland, which is at its best at about the same time as the cherry blossoms. The rows of cherry trees and Mizubasho colonies are one of the highlights of the park.
Muramatsu Park was opened in 1906, and approximately 3,000 cherry trees are planted on its vast grounds. With an athletic field, baseball field, and civic swimming pool, the park has been developed as a comprehensive park that also includes sports. Also within the park is Mt. Atago, where a walking trail and observation deck have been established, with beautiful red pines, and a light hiking trail is also available. Nearly 90% of the cherry trees in the park are Someiyoshino, but other cherry trees such as Yohkoh with deep pink blossoms can also be seen.
The view of the city of Gosen can be seen from the observatory on Mt. Atago, and the contrast between the cherry blossoms at the foot of the mountain and the red pines on the hillside is beautiful. There is also a shrine near the top of the mountain, creating a sacred atmosphere.
At the foot of Mt. Atago, there is a relatively new row of cherry blossom trees, and with relatively few pedestrians, you can enjoy a quiet stroll. The area is also famous as a flower park, with azaleas, peonies, hydrangeas, and other seasonal flowers in bloom, as well as autumnal colors in the fall.

Akihabara (秋葉原), also called Akiba after a former local shrine, is a district in central Tokyo that is famous for its many electronics shops. In more recent years, Akihabara has gained recognition as the center of Japan's otaku (diehard fan) culture, and many shops and establishments devoted to anime and manga are now dispersed among the electronic stores in the district. On Sundays, Chuo Dori, the main street through the district, is closed to car traffic from 13:00 to 18:00 (until 17:00 from October through March). Akihabara has been undergoing major redevelopment over the years, including the renovation and expansion of Akihabara Station and the construction of new buildings in its proximity. Among these newly opened buildings were a huge Yodobashi electronics store and the Akihabara Crossfield, a business complex with the aim of promoting Akihabara as a center for global electronics technology and trade.

上田城（うえだじょう）は、長野県北東部にある城郭跡で、城域一帯は、国の「史跡」に指定されており、「日本100名城」にも選定されています。
上田城は武田氏の旧臣である真田昌幸によって築かれ、二度にわたる徳川軍の攻撃を撃退したことで有名です。歴史に名高い真田氏の居城として人気があり、小説や時代劇の舞台としても頻繁に登場します。二度も実戦の舞台となった城郭は全国的にも珍しく、戦国期の歴史を今に伝える貴重な文化遺産です。
真田氏の築いた上田城は関ヶ原の合戦後に破壊され、その後、上田藩主となった仙石氏により再建されました。明治以降に再び破却され、遺構の多くが失われましたが、現在は公園として整備され、櫓門も復元されました。遺構としては西櫓が江戸時代から現存しており、南櫓・東虎口櫓門・北櫓も移築・復元されています。
お堀を中心に、約700本の桜が植えられており、毎年お花見の季節になると、大勢の人で賑わいます。西櫓は明治の破却後も外部へ移築されることなく残り、江戸時代初期に建てられたままの城郭建築として、上田城の中でも特に貴重な遺構です。
西櫓の下は、かつて「尼が淵」と呼ばた天然の要害で、現在は「やぐら下芝生広場」として整備されています。
小諸城址（こもろじょうし）は、長野県東部に位置する城郭跡で、「日本100名城」にも選定されているほか、「日本さくら名所100選」にも選定されています。小諸城は戦国時代に武田信玄によって拡張整備され、軍師の山本勘助が縄張りを決めたと伝えられます。そして江戸時代に、仙石氏が近世城郭に改修しました。
現在は懐古園（かいこえん）として整備され、かつて天守があった本丸には懐古神社が建ち、手前には日本庭園風の噴水池があります。懐古園入口の「三の門」など複数の門が現存し、石垣も当時のままよく残っています。桜は馬場跡を中心に約300本ほど植えられていて、「石垣と桜」の風景には、歴史を感じさせられます。
八重桜や枝垂れ桜など多様な桜を楽しめますが、「小諸八重紅枝垂」は小諸固有の珍しい品種で、八重の花弁と花の色の濃さが特徴の枝垂れ桜です。懐古園内にも４本しかない老木は、大変貴重な桜です。石垣の上から「小諸八重紅枝垂」を見下ろすと、ソメイヨシノとの色の対比が見事です。石垣の上には遊歩道があり、馬場の桜を見下ろせます。多品種の桜を多様な視点から堪能できる桜名所です。

Ueda Castle is located in northeastern Nagano Prefecture. The castle area is designated as a national Historic Site and is one of the 100 Great Castles of Japan.
Ueda Castle was built by Masayuki Sanada, a former vassal of the Takeda clan, and is famous for repelling two attacks by the Tokugawa forces. The castle is popular as the residence of the historically renowned Sanada clan and frequently appears in novels and period dramas. A castle that has twice been the scene of actual battles is a rarity in Japan, and is a valuable cultural heritage that conveys the history of the Warring States period (1467-1568) to the present day.
Ueda Castle was destroyed after the Battle of Sekigahara (1600), and later rebuilt by the Sengoku clan, which became the lord of Ueda. After the Meiji period (1868-1912), the castle was again destroyed and many of its remains were lost, but it is now maintained as a park and the turret gate has been restored. As for the remains, the west turret still exists from the Edo period (1603-1868), and the south turret, east koguchi turret gate, and north turret have also been moved and reconstructed.
Around 700 cherry trees are planted around the moat, which attracts many people every year during the cherry blossom viewing season. The west turret remained without being moved to the outside after the Meiji era (1868-1912), and is said to be one of the most valuable remains of Ueda Castle as a castle structure built in the early Edo period (1603-1868).
The area below the west turret was once a natural defensive point called Amagafuchi, and is now maintained as a grassy plaza under the turret.
Komoro Castle Site is located in the eastern part of Nagano Prefecture and has been selected as one of the 100 Great Castles of Japan as well as one of the 100 Best Cherry Blossom Sites in Japan. Komoro Castle was expanded and improved by Shingen Takeda during the Warring States Period (1467-1568), and it is said that Kansuke Yamamoto, a military strategist, decided the layout of the castle. In the Edo period (1603-1867), the castle was renovated into a modern castle by the Sengoku clan.
The castle is now maintained as Kaiko-en, with Kaiko-jinja Shrine standing in the main circle where the castle tower once stood, and a Japanese garden-style fountain pond in front of it. Several gates, including the San-no-mon Gate at the entrance to Kaiko-en, are still in existence, and the stonewalls are well preserved as they were in those days. About 300 cherry trees are planted around the ruins of the horse stable, and the scenery of stone walls and cherry trees gives visitors a sense of history.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of cherry blossoms such as double-flowered cherry trees and weeping cherry trees. Komoro Yae Ben Shidare is a rare variety unique to Komoro, and is a weeping cherry tree characterized by its double-petaled blossoms and dark color. There are only four old trees in the Kaiko-en Garden, and they are very precious cherry trees.
This is a cherry blossom viewing spot where you can enjoy many varieties of cherry trees from various perspectives.

東京都 高尾山の紅葉と富士山（相模湖・宮ヶ瀬湖の紅葉も！） / Autumn leaves and Mt. Fuji at Mt. Takao ( Tokyo, Japan )【日本の紅葉絶景！】
高尾山は、東京都の多摩地域（八王子市）にある標高599ｍの山で、東京を代表する紅葉名所の一つとして知られ「日本の紅葉百選」にも選定されています。高尾山は東京都心から近く、年間約300万人の登山者が訪れ、世界一の登山者数を誇る山としても知られています。高尾山の山頂は展望が開けており、東側には東京都心部が、南東方面には横浜市街や東京湾と房総半島も望め、さらに南西方向には「富士山」も望めます。
高尾山ではケーブルカーとリフトが運行されており、山上駅までケーブルカーは片道約6分、リフトは約12分です。山上駅から高尾山の山頂までは、さらに約50分ほど歩きます。山頂に至る途中には「かすみ台展望台」や高尾山のパワースポットとして知られる「薬王院」などがあります。
紅葉期の高尾山は特に人気が高く、午後は大変混雑します。ですので、理想的な登山スケジュールとしては、早朝に登山を開始し、ケーブルカーの運行が始まる前に山頂へ。まだ静かな山頂で紅葉と富士山の絶景を満喫したあと、ゆっくりと下山を開始して、帰路はリフトを利用するのがベストです！リフトで空中散歩しながら眺める山腹の紅葉も見事です。早朝に山頂へ登るのが難しい場合も、富士山は午後には逆光気味になりますので、できれば午前中に山頂展望台へ到着するのがいいでしょう。
高尾山へのアクセスは、電車の場合は京王「高尾山口駅」から徒歩約5分でケーブルカー・リフトの山麓駅に至ります。車の場合は国道20号線（甲州街道）沿いに大きな駐車場がいくつかありますので、その駐車場を利用します。主要国道ですので、まず迷うことはないでしょう。登山コースは複数あり、ケーブルカー・リフトを利用せずに登ることももちろん可能です。（早朝はケーブルカー・リフトが運行していませんので、徒歩でしか登れません）
相模湖（さがみこ）は、高尾山から車で約30分の距離にあるダム湖で、相模川を相模ダムによってせき止めて作られた人造湖です。戦後にできたダム湖としては日本初（相模ダム完成は1947年）でした。北東岸には県営相模湖公園があり、湖畔では釣りやボート遊びなどといったレジャーが楽しめます。
宮ヶ瀬湖（みやがせこ）は、相模湖からさらに車で約30分の距離にあるダム湖で、東丹沢にある宮ヶ瀬ダムの建設によってできた人造湖であり、「ダム湖百選」に選定されています。湖の周辺はドウダンツツジの紅葉が見られる「鳥居原エリア」や観光施設が集まる「宮ヶ瀬湖畔エリア」などが整備されており、特に中央部にある湖畔エリアには「水の郷大吊り橋」が架かっており、宮ヶ瀬湖のシンボルとなっています。
高尾山と相模湖・宮ヶ瀬湖は、都心からも比較的近く、いずれも「都会のオアシス」といえる紅葉名所です
Mt. Takao, located in the Tama region of Tokyo (Hachioji City), is a 599-meter-high mountain known as one of the best places to see autumn leaves in Tokyo and has been selected as one of the 100 Best Autumn Leaves in Japan.
Mt. Takao is close to the center of Tokyo and is known as the world's most popular mountain with about three million climbers a year.
The summit of Mt. Takao offers a panoramic view of central Tokyo to the east, Yokohama City, Tokyo Bay and the Boso Peninsula to the southeast, and Mt. Fuji to the southwest.
Mt. Takao is served by a cable car and a lift, and it takes about six minutes one way to get to the mountain top station and about 12 minutes for the lift. From the mountain top station, it's an additional 50-minute walk to the top of Mt Takao.
On the way to the top of the mountain, you'll find the Kasumidai Observation Deck and Yakuoin Temple, which is known as one of Takao's power spots.
Mt. Takao during the autumn leaves season is especially popular and the afternoon can be very crowded. Therefore, the ideal hiking schedule is to start early in the morning and get to the summit before the cable car service starts.
After enjoying the spectacular views of the autumn leaves and Mt. Fuji in the still-quiet summit, it's best to start the descent slowly and take the lift for the return trip! The autumn leaves on the mountainside, which you can view while taking a lift ride in the air, are also spectacular.
If you can't make it to the summit in the early morning, it's still a good idea to arrive at the summit observation deck in the morning if possible, as Mt Fuji will be backlit in the afternoon.
Sagami Lake is a man-made lake located about a 30-minute drive from Mount Takao and was created by blocking the Sagami River with the Sagami Dam. It was Japan's first post-war dammed lake (Sagami Dam was completed in 1947). On the northeast shore of the lake is the prefectural Sagami Lake Park, where you can enjoy leisure activities such as fishing and boating.
Lake Miyagase is a dammed lake located about 30 minutes away by car from Lake Sagami, and is a man-made lake created by the construction of the Miyagase Dam in Higashi-Tanzawa. Around the lake, the Toriihara Area where you can see the autumn colors of azaleas and the Miyagase Lakeside Area where tourist facilities are gathered have been developed, and the Water Home Suspension Bridge is located in the lakeside area in the center of the lake, which is a symbol of Lake Miyagase.
Mt. Takao and Lake Sagami and Lake Miyagase are relatively close to central Tokyo and are famous for their autumnal leaves, which can be called an urban oasis.

Ameyoko (アメ横) is a busy market street along the Yamanote Line tracks between Okachimachi and Ueno Stations. The name Ameyoko is a short form for Ameya Yokocho (candy store alley), as candies were traditionally sold there. Alternatively, Ame also stands for America, because a lot of American products used to be available there when the street was the site of a black market in the years following World War Two.
Today, various products such as clothes, bags, cosmetics, fresh fish, dried food and spices are sold along Ameyoko. Opening hours and closing days depend on individual stores, but stores typically open around 10:00 and close around 20:00. Many stores remain closed on selected Wednesdays.
