#Manamadurai is a town in Manamadurai Division of #Sivaganga_district in the #India state of #TamilNadu [1] Manamadurai is the headquarter of Manamadurai taluk. Manamadurai falls under Manamadurai Legislative assembly. Manamadurai name transferred/comes from Vanavan Maruthadurai. This town is famous for the ancient Sri Veera Azhagar temple or Sri Sundararaja Perumal Koil.[2] The legends around this temple and the place trace back to the era of Ramayana, and the place has been referred to as Vanara Veera Madura Puri in ancient times. It has a population density of more than 6000 Persons/km2 which is Top in Sivagangai District.

Paramakudi is a city in India and a municipality since 1964 located in the Ramanathapuram district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The river Vaigai flows through Paramakudi on its way to the Bay of Bengal. NH 87 and AH 43 passes through this town, which connects the rest of the district to Sivaganga. Notable persons from this place include actors Kamal Haasan and Chiyaan Vikram.[2]
பரமக்குடி (ஆங்கிலம்:Paramakudi), இந்தியாவின் தமிழ்நாடு மாநிலத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள இராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள பரமக்குடி வட்டத்தின் நிர்வாகத் தலைமையிட நகரமும், நகராட்சியும் ஆகும்.இது வைகை நதியின் கரையில் அமைந்திருக்கிறது. இந்நகரம் மதுரை - இராமேஸ்வரம் தேசிய நெடுஞ்சாலை எண் 49 இன் மத்தியில் உள்ளது.

It is a panchayat that is being implemented to announce that the Abiramam panchayat is the city that has been destroyed by the useless and open space.

Naganathar temple near Ramanathapuram ( in between Ramanathapuram and Paramakudi and around 15 Kms from the latter place ) is the Shri Soundaranayaki ( Azhagiyanayaki ) Sametha Shri Naganatha Swamy Temple in Nainar Koil. Even for people from Southern Tamilnadu, this place is not known. It is also known as Thenmaruthur ( as the Sthala vruksham is Marutham ) or Dakshina Arjunam, Vasuki Theertham is just outside the temple.

This is the place where, the following had been blessed and also been curse released, they were:
1. Astathikbalagarkal (the guardians of eight directions)
2. Aayiram munivarkal (one thousand sages)
3. Maaniyathiran
4. Agathiyar
5. Athiseshan (Five headed snake)
6. Attama nagangal ( Eight snakes)
7. Mathiman
8. Therisavedan
9. Nagaiyan
10. Saptha kanniyar
11. Thalaimalai kanda Maruthathevar etc.
Here, in Nainar kovil, the presiding deity lord Nagalinga perumal has been facing towards west direction where as normally in all the temples, the presiding deities are facing towards east in direction.
This is because, it had been said to be, in order to hear the music of 'Namathevar' the lord Nagalinga peruman has been facing the west in direction.
It had been known from the Tamil - Naganathar sathagam

Potrumavarkkai Maetrisai (west in direction) thirumbiyum.
Mohammedans also worship this lord Naganathar *
Another uniqueness of this temple has been the feature of Muslims peoples also worshiping lord Naganathar for a long time. When i had been there, i also found a muslim man (wearing lungie) asking me where the shrine had been there at the temple.
Once upon, there lived a Mohammedan called Mulla Sahib, when India had been under the Moguls reign. When he with his dumb daughter happened to come into this temple and stood in front of the shrine of lord Naganathar, her daughter opened her mouth and said Allah Nainar Andavar, the very first word that had been from her mouth.
On having seen her daughter spoken, Mullah Sahib said Neeray Nainar Nijam therinthaen (in Tamil), from that incident onwards this temple has been renamed as Nainar kovil.
As this had been the proof, the Mohammedans in that area are coming into this temple and worshiping the lord Naganathar.
Sri Puthadi (Puttru Adi) *
This had been once the Marutha tree, under which the lord Nagalinga peruman had appeared as a snake and had blessed the devotees. From that onwards, the devotees had brought the eggs as the offering to lord Nagaliga here. There has been a ant hill (Puttru) which is now guarded with grill fence as seen in picture.
The devotees took the sand from that 'Puttru', which has been called as puthadi mann (sand from the ant hill) and have it as medicine by in taking it with water. The devotees apply the sand as the paste on their body where they find as the affected area like 'poisonous insect bites, eczema and all type of skin diseases'.
This shrine is facing the west in direction, just behind the shrine of the presiding deity lord Naganathar.

This temple of lord Naganathar (Nainar koil) has been placed amidst the four other temples of lord Shiva, as follows:
1. North of 4 miles - Salaigramam - lord Varaguneshwarar temple.
2. south of 3 miles - North bank of river vaigai - lord Guna Nadhishwarar.
3. East of 6 miles - Kozhuvur - Nagha Naathishwarar.
4. west of 6 miles - Emaneshwaram - lord Yamaneeshsurar.
Theertham
Vasuki Theertham - This has been placed just opposite of the shrine of lord Naganathar at the west of the direction. On Various yugas, in this theertha, a lot of persons including celestial beings and sages had taken bath and had been curse released. This Theertham is having 25 other names for it.
Mangala theertham - This has been at the north east of the temple's 3rd pragharam.
Maruthavana Maakali theertham - This has been at the north of this temple.
