Traveling to Morioka, Japan! | NY Times 52 Places To Go 2023! - Japan Travel Vlog

In this Japan travel vlog, we take you along with us as we travel to visit my wife's hometown of Morioka, one of NY Times' 52 Places to Go in 2023! We start off the day by boarding the shinkansen at Tokyo station to travel to Morioka. Then, we meet up with my wife's family for lunch, and experience the local cuisine.

As the sun sets, we head out to our dinner date, where we indulge in some Japanese izakaya dishes and drinks, before exploring the city's streets, and heading back to our hotel for the night.

Since this was day 2 of traveling, we were quite exhausted, and wanted to be well rested to roam the city in the following days.

In this next Japan travel vlog, we continue our exploration of Morioka, Japan on day 2 and 3 of our trip. In this video, we stop at Kojima electronics store and grab lunch at Fesan department store, before heading out to a delicious yakiniku dinner! The following day, we head to Hachimangu Shrine to bask in the beauty of this Japanese Shinto shrine. Then, we catch a moment of reflection among many Morioka residents for a memorial of the great Tohoku earthquake and tsunami that affected the area on March 11th, 2011.
