Day Trips From Tokyo Part 1: YOKOSUKA CITY
Yokosuka city is in the Kanagawa prefecture on the Miura peninsular.
The cheapest way of getting there and getting around the area is by buying the Keikyu Miura Peninsular one day pass which can be purchased at any Keikyu Station.
This pass gives you unlimited rides on the buses and trains on the Miura peninsular, so you can get off and on where ever you like.

Top 10 CHERRY BLOSSOM SPOTS of KYOTO, OSAKA, NARA | SAKURA IN JAPAN
This was my first time experiencing cherry blossom season in Japan. Because I haven’t traveled much of the Kansai region of Osaka, Nara and Kyoto, I wanted to start there for its picturesque and diverse beauty. When I arrived I was lucky, the sakura in each city was just starting to go into full blossom, which meant I had about a week, to chase them down.

My top 10 best cherry blossom spots in Kyoto, Osaka, Nara
Best spots to experience Hanami (or Interact with Cherry Blossoms)
1. Osaka Castle
Osaka Castle Park was my welcome intro to Osaka and my first favorite sakura experience and my first understanding of hanami.
2. Maruyama Park
Located in Higashiyama district, Maruyama Park is a popular social spot for hanami and there are over 680 cherry trees of different varieties.
3. Togetsukyo,
Togetsukyo, or ‘Moon Crossing’, Bridge is Arashiyama’s iconic bridge crossing over the Katsura river .
Keage InclineYou can’t quite picnic here, but maybe you can pack a sandwich. Keage Incline-is an abandoned railway, which used to transport ships between the Lake Biwa Canal to the Okazaki Canal.
5. Kiyomizu-dera Temple
Located on Kyoto’s Mount Otwwa, Kiyomizu-dera Temple is known for its wish-granting waters, but it’s also known for 1500 cherry blossom trees on its slopes.
6. Okazaki Canal, located near Heian Shrine, is a waterway that connects to Lake Biwa Canal, the main canal that brings water to the city of Kyoto
7. Kiyamachi Dori, or Kiyamachi Street
Last but not least, you can always find wonderful impromptu spots around the city. One of my favorite but lesser known spots and one that tourists don’t know about is Kiyamachi Dori, or Kiyamachi Street.
8. Sagano Romantic Train Ride
Beautiful at all seasons is the Sagano Romantic Train Ride. This is a sightseeing train which runs through the picturesque Arashiyama-Sagano area .
9. Nara Park- free roaming deer, pretty girls in kimonos, three world heritage sites (one with a giant buddha) and over 1700 cherry trees of different varieties,
10 . The Philosopher’s Walk - Noted as one of the Top 100 Paths of Japan, it is a path running along a canal stretching 2 kilometers along 500 Yoshino cherry trees. The path was named after a famous philosopher who used this walk as his meditation.

00:00- INTRO* The next adventure is the Miura Kaigan Beach of Japan. Let’s see what the hype is all about and let’s explore the beach together. Afterwards, let’s also explore the vicinity and the nearby areas. So join me, only on the Epic Travel Adventures!
00:17- Miura Kaigan Beach is located in the city of Miura of the Kanagawa Prefecture. It is only about 25 minutes from the Yokosuka-chuo Station or over an hour and a half from the Tokyo Station heading South. The population of Miura is just above 44 thousand people.
02:37- The Miura body of water goes directly into the Kaneda Bay on the East side and connects to the Tokyo Bay on the North. Despite¬ seeing the Tsunami warning signs just like these, this is a very relaxing place, with not many people as one might think and plenty of good restaurants around, you will be able to enjoy the quiet atmosphere. Miura is famous for its amazing seafood. On a clear day you will be able to see Chiba Prefecture right across.
03:10- This sign says “Jinya gawa” which is the name of the river.
03:14- This sign says “Sakai-bashi” which is this name of the bridge.¬
03:25- Along the boardwalk you will see some of the American chains like the KFC. Isn’t that crazy?
03:42- Further NE along the boardwalk, you will see the Daikon Radishes hanging like this. The preservation process involves salting the radishes and then hanging them to dry in the Sun just like this. This way there are no artificial chemicals or colorings. Afterwards, you can eat them raw, you can bake them, you can boil them and use them in many dishes like soups, stews, and stir fries similar to how you would use carrots.
04:18- Further down along the boardwalk notice many dilapidated little huts, houses and boats. I suspect that these belong to the fishermen that fish and stay here during the fishing period.
05:22- This Tsunami Evacuation Warning sign states that if you feel an earthquake at the current sea level of 5 meters - evacuate to safety.
05:37- Heading away from the beach, let’s tour a little bit of vicinity.
05:49- This rock says Tsukui Asama Shrine (津久井浅間神社). It is located by the Tsukurihama Station.
06:17- Heading through the first Tsukui Asama Shrine Torri Gate it will lead you through the first set of stairs.
07:10- The second Tsukui Asama Shrine Torri Gate leads you to the second set of stairs.
07:21- Here you throw the money into this box called the Saisen (賽銭) which is offered to Gods, Bodhisattvas and deities. By doing so gods and deities will listen and answer your prayers. Sometimes visitors throw bills but it is most common to throw coins.
07:52- I decided to say my own prayers and give offerings to gods and deities. I expect my wishes to come true in the near future.

2020年秋に訪れた、神奈川県三浦半島南東部にある三浦海岸。京急電鉄三浦海岸駅から徒歩6分、国道134号線沿いに広がる海岸。房総半島に向かい合い、10kmに渡って広がっています。三浦海岸の自然豊かな風景をお楽しみください。

Misaki and Jogashima : Michelin 2 stars 1Day Trip from Tokyo with Maguro Ticket
Misaki and Jogashima in the Miura peninsula became popular recently.
It is not far from Tokyo, and Michelin recognized the good sightseeing spot.
You can enjoy beautiful landscape, delicious food, can spend whole day in Misaki and Jogashima.
In order to travel Misaki and Jogashima, you need Japanese language skills and to familiar with Japanese transportation. Unfortunately, official website is written only in Japanese, and railway is complicated. Even Japanese confused.

Jogashima Island and Miura Beach | One day trip from Tokyo, Japan | Beautiful Sightseeing
Jogashima is a small beautiful island made of Volcanic rocks on the Southern Coast of the Miura Peninsula. About 1 hour from Yokohama and 1.5 hours from Tokyo. Best One day trip to escape the busy city life into beautiful and serene Nature.
Miura or Miurakaigan Beach is one of the best beaches I have seen close to Tokyo, with clean, fine sand and clear blue waters. It is near Jogashima Island, just one stop before Misakiguchi station on Keikyu line train.
