福島県三春町は写真集の撮影や撮影ワークショップなどで何度も訪ねています。私たちにとっては20年前から馴染みの町であり、大好きな場所です。そんな町の桜の動画をつくることができて私たち自身、とても幸せです。
日本3大桜の一本である「三春の滝桜(推定樹齢1000年)」があることで知られていますが、町内には約10,000本の桜の木があります。満開の頃にはあちこちで桜が咲き乱れる桜の名所です。滝桜と同じ枝垂れ桜は70本あり、名前がつけられた見応えのある桜は約40本あります。そのなかの10本を選んでまとめました。
編集作業をしながら数日間、桜の映像を見続けていましたが、風に揺れる桜の姿には癒しの力があるのでしょう。私はどんどん元気になっていきました。4K映像の桜の美しさを味わっていただきながら、リラックスした時間をお過ごしいただければと思います。

But there are about 10,000 cherry trees in this town. It is a famous place for cherry blossoms to bloom all over the place when it is in full bloom. There are 70 weeping cherry trees that are the same as Takizakura, and 40 spectacular cherry blossoms with names. I selected 10 from among them. The Miharu Takizakura is considered by many as the single most beautiful cherry tree in Japan. It is located in Miharu, a town in central Fukushima. The tree is estimated to be over a thousand years old and its trunk has a girth of 9.5 meters.
Around mid to late April every year, the Miharu Takizakura reaches the peak of its flowering season and hundreds of thousands visit to admire its cherry blossoms. Despite the size of the crowds, human traffic is usually well regulated and the process of touring around the tree is thereby kept smooth and pleasant. Visitors are advised to go as early as possible though, as roads leading to the location can get extremely congested.

開花期には四方に伸びた枝から、薄紅色の小さな花を無数に咲かせ、その様はまさに流れ落ちる滝のように見えることから「滝桜」と呼ばれるようになったとも言われています。

今回は日本三大桜のひとつ「三春滝桜」をお届けします。
1922年に桜の木として初めて、国の天然記念物に指定されました。推定樹齢は1000年超です。
樹種はエドヒガン系の紅枝垂れです。
樹高は12m、根回り11m、幅22mほどの巨木で、毎年30万人以上の人が訪れる人気スポットです。
新日本名木100選のうち名木10選、日本さくら名所100選にも選ばれています。
三春エリアは一本桜の宝庫でエリア全体で桜巡りを楽しむことができます。
This time, we will deliver Miharu Takizakura, one of the three major cherry blossoms in Japan. In 1922, it was designated as a national natural monument for the first time as a cherry tree. The estimated age is over 1000 years. The tree species is Edohigan red weeping. 福島県の巨桜・一本桜 6選！(三春滝桜・合戦場のしだれ桜・福田寺の糸桜・塩ノ崎大桜など) / Top 6 Giant Cherry Trees in Fukushima, Japan【日本の桜名所】
「三春滝桜」（日本三大桜）や「合戦場のしだれ桜」など、福島県の巨桜・一本桜の銘木を6つめぐります！
三春滝桜（みはるたきざくら）は、「日本三大桜」の一つで、丘陵の真ん中にそびえ立つ姿は圧巻です。滝桜の周囲はよく整備されており、菜の花畑もあります。この稀代の巨桜を、周囲の散策路からじっくりと見学することができます。滝桜を含め、三春町に散在するしだれ桜群は、「日本の桜名所100選」に選ばれています。
合戦場（かっせんば）のしだれ桜は、平安時代に起こった「前九年の役」の古戦場に立つ巨桜で、２本の木が寄り添うように立ち一本の巨桜のように見えています。
手前の丘陵には菜の花畑もあり、ピンク色と黄色のコントラストが美しい景観を生んでいます。樹齢は約150年で、まだ若く、樹勢が盛んです。この桜は、「日本三大桜」である「三春の滝桜」の孫木であるとされ、近くには滝桜の子桜とされる「福田寺の糸桜」も立ちます。また、その近くに「新殿神社の石割桜」も立ち、「合戦場のしだれ桜」から農産物直売所「さくらの郷」までの約１.６kmに「さくら回廊」と名づけた遊歩道が整備されいます。
祭田のサクラ（まつりだのさくら）は、里山の民家にひっそりとたたずむ風格のある巨桜で、樹齢約800年のエドヒガンの巨木です。樹高は約18ｍ、幹の周囲は約7.5mで、手を伸ばしているように広がる枝ぶりが見事です。周囲の谷間には田園が広がり、のどかな風景に癒されます。
塩ノ崎大桜（しおのさきおおざくら）は、のどかな里山の丘に立つ大きな一本桜です。樹齢約600年、樹高は約18ｍ、幹の周囲は約7ｍのシロヒガンザクラで、東西南北に約20ｍほどにわたって枝が広がり、どの方角からも均衡がとれた美しい形となっています。周囲には田畑が広がり、どこか懐かしい雰囲気を感じさせてくれます。
This tour will take you to six of the biggest and most famous cherry trees in Fukushima Prefecture, including the Miharu Taki-zakura, one of the Three Greatest Cherry Trees in Japan, and its grandchild, the Gassenjo no Shidare-zakura.
The Miharu Taki-zakura is one of the Three Greatest Cherry Trees in Japan and its towering figure in the middle of the hills is a sight to behold. The area around the cherry blossoms is well maintained, and there is also a field of rape blossoms. Visitors can take a closer look at this rare giant cherry tree from the surrounding walking paths. The weeping cherry trees scattered around Miharu Town, including the Takizakura, have been selected as one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan.
The weeping cherry trees of Kassenba are huge cherry trees that stand on the old battlefield of the Former Nine Years' War that took place in the Heian period (794-1185), and two trees stand close to each other to look like one huge cherry tree.
Shionosaki Ohzakura is a large single cherry tree standing on a hill in a peaceful satoyama. The tree is about 600 years old, about 18 meters high, with a trunk circumference of about 7 meters. The branches spread out about 20 meters from east to west, north to south, and in all directions, creating a beautiful balanced shape.

1000 Year Old Cherry Blossom Tree in Japan - Miharu Takizakura 三春瀧桜
The Miharu Takizakura (三春瀧桜) in Japan is a cherry blossom tree that is estimated to be over 1,000 years old. Perhaps even 1500 years old. It's an amazing sight, with an equally amazing amount of tourists who come to see it. It is located near Fukushima in Japan... a couple hours from Tokyo.
