travel to slovenia | Things to do in Ljubljana (Silent Vlog)
SEPTEMBER 2019 | My sister and I decided to go to a country together that neither of us had been to before. We had heard amazing things about Slovenia, so booked our tickets and headed there for a week.
Our first stop was Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. An amazing city with so much to explore.
If you are stuck on things to do in Ljubljana, here is a list of the top things we did:
1. Visit the Triple Bridge
-There are many bridges dotted around Ljubljana, but the most famous is the Triple Bridge, which connects the old town and modern town. You can't miss going to the old town while you are in Ljubljana, so you might as well swing past the bridge on your way.
2. Central Market
-The markets are open every day (except for Sunday) are has an array of traditional and diverse food on offer. It is right in the heart of the city and by the Triple Bridge. You can spend the day people watching and listening to the live music that they sometimes have also.
3. Eat the local food
-You can't go to Slovenia and not try the traditional food on offer. The Central Market is a great place to dip into the traditional food, from Slovenian dumplings, Prekmurian layer cake and potica. One of my favourites was the Slovenian emperor pancakes, which were allegedly the favourite food of Austrian emperor, Kaiser Franz Joseph.
4. Ljubljana Castle
-Known as one of Ljubljana's main attractions, you can't miss visiting the Ljubljana Castle. It is a castle on a hill overlooking the city, which has been there for over 900 years. You can easily walk there from the old town, and once you reach to the top, you can get incredible views of the city. Entrance to the castle was 10 euros, which included access to the church.
5. Bar hopping
-There are numerous bars along the river in Ljubljana that you can chose from after a day of exploring. One of our personal favourites was Slovenska Hiša which sat next to the river, where we tried orange wine, a popular drink in Slovenia.

The Highest Viaduct in Slovenia & Ruins of San Sergio

We visited the longest & highest viaduct in Slovenia, Crni kal. We also visited the ruins of San Sergio above the viaduct. It used to be a fortress and dates back to the 11th century, but only ruins remain. But it's still beautiful ???? Come if you can.

Natural beauty of SLOVENIA | 4K | Drone

Slovenia is a small country in Central Europe, but contains within its borders Alpine mountains, thick forests, historic cities, and a short Adriatic coastline.
Visited places: Bled lake, Bohinj, Ljubljana, Triglav National Park, Postojna Cave, Vintgar Gorge, Bled Castle Mostnica Gorge, Mount Vogel, Savica Waterfall, Izvir Bistrice, Izola, Bled Island

Koseski Lake LJUBLJANA - SLOVENIA.
This small artificial lake would freeze over and we’d ice-skate on it. What used to be a clay pit, has served mainly fishermen in the last years, modellers play here with their favourite toys and of course in accordance with Slovenian characteristics, which is exercising, like jogging or cycling around it. There is a footpath that goes around it with several benches along the way.
Koseski bajer lies on the foothills of Roznik and Šisenski hrib which are hills between here and the centre. These places are included in a natural protected area. The Path of Remembrance and Comradeship passes by the pond and that’s why this altogether is Mecca for nature lovers. New sitting areas were constructed a few years ago stretching over the surface of the lake.
Slovenia Photo Tour - Day 3
:: Bled & Kozjak ::
What a day Slovenia turned on for us. We started the day on Lake Bled for a magical sunrise, with the sky colouring up nicely behind the iconic Church of the Assumption of Mary.
We then headed over the Predil Pass which connects Slovenia and Italy, so for a brief while we crossed over into Italy. The scenery along this road is breathtaking and today it looked incredible with clear blue skies, no wind, and quite warm conditions.
Our final location for today was one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have seen in a while, Kozjak Falls. An easy 25-minute walk saw us arrive at this dim lit moss-covered waterfall that everyone enjoyed shooting. All in all a fantastic day check the video to see what this country has to offer.

Our cycling ambassadors were a part of the craziest and the funniest cycling event in Slovenia - Goni Pony race. They conquered the road to Vršič Pass. Well done, guys! Filippo from Italy describes the race as crazy :)
