Building Fire MP x 8 Aerials x 1 - Incident involved a 5 storey building approx 40m x 30m, ground floor well alight on arrival of first appliances. Crews used 4 Large jets, 1 Ground Monitor and ALP to check upper floors for fire spread. Fire contained to floor of origin and no injuries reported at this incident.
Appliances from Meltham (6901), Marsden (6801), Slaithwaite (7201), Huddersfield (6001 6002 6006ALP), Mirfield (8701 8712HL), Brighouse (6101), Batley (8101 8128CU), Elland (6301) and Holmfirth (6601) attended.

From Bolster Moor down Swallow Lane to Town End in Golcar. Down Leymoor Road and left on to Parkwood Road and down to the mill bottom. Through mill bottom and up and along Crow Lane then down back to the centre of Milnsbridge.

Holmfirth is a small town on the A6024 Woodhead Road in the Holme Valley, within the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees, West Yorkshire, England. Centred upon the confluence of the Holme and Ribble rivers, Holmfirth is 6 miles south of Huddersfield and 13 miles northeast of Glossop.
Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, Holmfirth was once a centre for pioneering film-making by Bamforth & Co., which later switched to the production of saucy seaside postcards. Between 1973 and 2010 both Holmfirth and the Holme Valley became well known as the filming location of the BBC's situation comedy Last of the Summer Wine.
Holmfirth (and the surrounding countryside) is the setting for the BBC's long-running comedy Last of the Summer Wine. Thousands of tourists flock to the area each year to enjoy scenery and locations familiar from the series. Filming of the TV Slaithwaite-based drama, Where the Heart Is, had also taken place in and around the area.
Holmfirth constitutes a town of its own almost seven miles (11 km) south of the larger town of Huddersfield. While the town of Holmfirth itself is comparatively small, it is surrounded by several hamlets and villages.
These neighbouring settlements are often collectively referred to as Holmfirth and include:- Austonley, Arrunden, Burnlee, Cinderhills, Cliff, Deanhouse, Netherthong, Gully, Flushhouse, Hade Edge, Thongsbridge, Upperthong and Washpit. Many of these are located on Cartworth Moor.
Shown in over 25 countries, Last of the Summer Wine is the longest running sitcom in the world. Filming took place in Holmfirth and across the Holme Valley. You'll recall familiar scenes when you visit Nora Batty's steps, Sids Café and the Last of the Summer Wine Exhibition.
