Would You Live In This Small City In Saskatchewan? | Canadian Real Estate For Under $100K?!
Saskatchewan may not offer the best attractions or opportunities compared to other Canadian provinces, but it does offer a much more peaceful and budget friendly way of life. If you can tolerate the very cold winters and are able to secure a local/remote job, you might find that this is one of the best places to live when Canada is currently going through a cost of living crisis. Melfort is a small city of 6,000 people in the northeast of Saskatchewan. It offers many different amenities like shopping, restaurants, swimming pool, skating rink, golf course and a lovely park. The job market is not as vast as larger centers, but it does have quite a few local industries and many opportunities for working in agriculture. Would you live in the small city of Melfort, SK?

And it's a shame because even though it can be a challenging place to live in some respects, it does have a rare, slow paced beauty to it. I made this video not only to show you what small town life is like in the province, but to also give you my top 10 things to know if you're thinking of moving there. I moved to Kinistino, Saskatchewan when I was 5 years old and lived in the province until my early twenties, so I feel like I have some experience to share about this unique place. Prince Albert: Saskatchewan's Most Northern City In -40C
The city of Prince Albert is the gateway to the north of Saskatchewan. It is the province's third largest city and was one of my favorite places to go growing up. A lot has changed since I was last there, but what hasn't changed is just how COLD the temperature can be during the frigid Sask winters. It was hovering around -40 degrees celsius the day we were there, so it made filming extremely difficult. You think there's not a lot goin' on..... and you'd be right lolol. But in all fairness, I LOVE touring Saskatchewan small towns once in a while because there really aren't many places in the world where towns like this still exist. Join me and my Dad as we drive from Saskatoon to Regina and stop in some charming little towns along the way. If you've ever watched the Canadian TV show Corner Gas, you're probably familiar with what these places are like, but if you haven't, this will definitely give you some insight.
