Idrija, Slovenia: Life and Death in a Mercury Mine
Idrija mercury mine tour, UNESCO world heritage in Slovenia. Anthony's Shaft is the oldest preserved mine entrance in Europe and the starting point for an eerie walk through the lives of the miners. Nearly all of them eventually died from the hazards of mercury poisoning. The mine has been a tourist attraction since it was closed in 2008. Above ground, enjoy the history of lacemaking and the delicious local dumplings called žlikrofi.

Ljutomer; German: Luttenberg in der Steiermark is a town in northeastern Slovenia, some 40 km east of Maribor. It is the seat of the Municipality of Ljutomer. Laško is a spa town in eastern Slovenia. It is the seat of the Municipality of Laško. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. The municipality is now included in the Savinja Statistical Region. The town is located at the foothills of Hum Hill on the Savinja River. It was first mentioned in written documents dating to 1227 and was granted town privileges in 1927. It is known to have been settled since the Iron Age and Roman archaeological finds are common in the area, though the precise location of the Roman settlement is not known. Today the town is best known for its annual Festival of Beer & Flowers (Pivo - Cvetje) and the local Laško Brewery, the largest brewery in the country.

Underground Biking
More than five kilometres long and unique underground bike trail from one valley to the other, where you can ride your bike, accompanied by a guide and in the glow of your headlamp. The trail runs through secure tunnels of the abandoned mine and rises for only about 15 meters.

Več kot pet kilometrov dolga edinstvena podzemna kolesarska pot iz ene doline v drugo, ki jo je moč prekolesariti v spremstvu vodiča in soju naglavnih svetilk. Pot poteka po varnih rovih opuščenega rudnika in se dvigne le za okrog 15 metrov.

[PL] Słoweńska kopalnia Pece (Peca/Petzen) to miejsce wyjątkowe. Bowiem czekają tu nas Was nietypowe atrakcje.
- Możecie tam pojeździć na rowerach po podziemnej, 6-kilometrowej, łatwej trasie.
- Zaliczyć ekstremalny przejazd trasą Black Hole Trail (tylko dla zaawansowanych rowerzystów).
- Popływać pod ziemią kajakami.
- Zwiedzić kopalnię w typowy sposób, wjeżdżając do jej wnętrza kopalnianym pociągiem.
W trakcie naszej wizyty przetestowaliśmy obie trasy rowerowe.

Štrekna – Kolesarska pot po Mislinjski dolini
Kolesarska pot po Mislinjski dolini velja za infrastrukturno eno najbolje urejenih kolesarskih poti v Sloveniji. Poteka po delu trase opuščene železnice Otiški vrh – Velenje. Trenutno je urejena v dolžini 24 km med Otiškim vrhom, Slovenj Gradcem, Mislinjo in Gornjim Doličem. Pot, katere podlaga je na celotni dolžini asfalt, poteka kot ločena kolesarska pot in je zaradi varnosti še posebej primerna za družine z otroki in starejše. Ob poti je več urejenih počivališč in kar nekaj ohranjenih atraktivnih nekdanjih železniških objektov, med njimi most v Slovenj Gradcu ter tunela v Mislinji in Gornjem Doliču. Med vožnjo lahko uživate v pogledih na Pohorje in Uršljo Goro. Ustaviti se morate tudi v Slovenj Gradcu in si ogledati srednjeveško mestno jedro.

Štrekna – Cycling Route in the Mislinja Valley
This cycling route is one of the best routes in Slovenia. It runs through unused railway Otiški Vrh- Velenje. Currently is 24km in length and it leads through Otiški vrh, Slovenj Gradec, Mislinja, and Gornji Dolič. The surface of the path consists of the asphalt and is separated from other routes therefore it is suitable for families with children and for elderly. Along the length of the route you can find resting places, different railway infrastructures such as the bridge in Slovenj Gradec and two tunnels in Mislinja and Gornji Dolič. During cycling you can enjoy the views on Pohorje and Uršlja gora. You must also stop in Slovenj Gradec to visit medieval town centre.

In the autumn, at the end of the grazing season, herdsmen would have bestowed Trni Hard Cheese to their beloved as a proof of love and fidelity, or as a promise to merry her.
Trnič home is Velika planina, a magical plateau with one of the largest herdsmen’s settlements in Europe.
Sir iz Velike Planine, ki so ga bile vesele do ušes zaljubljene kamniške mladenke.
Simbol Ljubezni
Po izročilu so pastirji Trnič jeseni, ob koncu paše, kot dokaz ljubezni in zvestobe, lahko tudi obljube zakona, podarjali svojim izbrankam, ženam in dekletom. Pastirji so en Trnič obdržali, drugega pa podarili izvoljenkam. Če je obdarovanka sir sprejela, je s tem pristala na pastirjevo dvorjenje.
Trnič izhaja iz Velike Planine, pravljične planote z enim od največjih pastirskih naselij v Evropi.

Cave Kayaking for your Stag party
You will be padling through a flooded underground mine while admiring incredible underground lakes. First you will board a genuine mining train which will take you deeper into the mine. Then you will receive all the necessary protective equipment such as: neoprene boots, a life jacket and a mining helmet. You will enter a flooded underground shaft and board your special kayak that can hold up to three people. With the help of a professional guide you will explore the underground labyrinth, submerged tunnels and excavation sites. At the end you will take a walk past the abandoned underground working sites to the mining train station. The mine has a constant temperature of 10 °C. Visitors are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and walking or hiking shoes. After a real miner’s lunch, the train will take you to the mining museum
