Best Beaches In Puerto Rico | Playa La Esperanza In Manati
Some of the most unique places in the world are on the road less traveled. Today, we’re going to show you our favorite beach in Puerto Rico, Playa la Esperanza in Manatí.
Playa la Esperanza is located about an hour west of San Juan right outside the town of Manatí. It’s actually inside of an expansive nature preserve that includes a visitor center inside an old sugar plantation.
You can even find tours and special nature activities to do in Hacienda la Esperanza on Paralanaturaleza.org. The long beach to the left of the swimming area provides a rugged contrast to the protected cove. This beach is covered in colorful smooth stones and even has patches of black sand.

Our traditional criollo cuisine plays an integral role in every cultural activity and family gathering. Similar to the people of Puerto Rico, our traditional cuisine has a rich history resulting from the blend of our African, Taíno, and Spanish ancestor's traditions resulting in what legendary Spanish Chef Jose Andrés described as one of the most interesting cuisines in the world!
With so many delicious food options to choose from, it's difficult to know where to start. But, don't worry, in this video, I'll show you my picks for the top 10 traditional Puerto Rican foods and precisely where to get them!
In this video, we'll first stop at the community of Piñones where we'll get some authentic Puerto Rican fritters called alcapurrias, bacalaitos, and empanadillas. After taking a dip on the beach under the sun we get a refreshing piña colada at an oceanfront restaurant. Then we travel to Lote 23 in the heart of Santurce where we try the delicious mofongo with fried meat. Then we head over to Bebo's BBQ for a plate of pernil, yuca and amarillitos. We finish the video off by tasting some delicious Puerto Rican coffee and pairing it with the authentic Puerto Rican pastry called quesitos.

Poza de las mujeres is part of the Natural reserve of Hacienda la Esperanza in Manati.

A Poza is an enclosed beach protected by natural rock formation that act like a natural wave breaker.
Cueva de las golondrinas is a real hidden gem. The Crystalline waters and the rock formations are just astonishing. Just admiring this incredible place makes the whole hike worth it.

Manati Natural Pools | Travel Puerto Rico
Manati is the perfect area to enjoy spectacular natural pools and beautiful golden sand beaches of Puerto Rico. Located 50 kilometers (31 miles) west of San Juan along the North coast, the natural rock forms a protective barrier against the rough Atlantic Ocean while creating these natural pools.
Starting in Playa Las Palmas (also known as Playa Mujeres), with views of Piscinas Naturales on the right and La Poza del las Mujeres on the left. We end the day one mile east at the popular extra-large natural pool of Mar Chiquita in Manati.
