Take a Ride on Maritime Bus's MOST POPULAR Route! (Moncton, NB to Halifax, NS by BUS)

Maritime Bus, a coach bus company based in Moncton, NB, is arguably one of Atlantic Canada’s most affordable and reliable methods of public transportation. Founded in 2012, the company provides daily transport to every big city or small town from as far east as Sydney, NS, to as west as Riviere de Loup, QC.

This week, I'm taking Maritime Bus's most popular route between Atlantic Canada's two largest cities; Moncton, New Brunswick, and Halifax, Nova Scotia. The route is used as a vital source of transit linking the two cities with daily bus service, along with the service to intermediate towns.

The route also provides some incredible scenery, such as the Petitcodiac River, the Tantramar Marshes, the Cobequid Mountains, and the Bedford Basin. The route is a highly favoured way for people to travel across the maritimes, and should be an option you consider for yourself!

In this video, you'll find out what it's like to ride Maritime Bus between Moncton, NB and Halifax, NS, how comfy the ride is, and the sights to see along the way.

This video was shot using old footage from a video I had to take down, so apologies to some long time viewers who recognize the footage used here.

Travelling from Muncton to Hopewell

Magnetic Hill is a Canadian neighbourhood in the north-west area of Moncton, New Brunswick. Magnetic Hill is located around the intersection of Route 126 and Route 2. Magnetic Hill is partially within the community of Lutes Mountain.
The world’s biggest tides in the Bay of Fundy have caused the Hopewell Rocks to erode in spectacular fashion. Twice a day, the tides flush into the bay, rising as high as 16m, and flooding the base of Hopewell Rocks. During low tide, it’s possible to walk directly on the seabed, discovering the flowerpots, archways and other unusual formations. Stick around for the full tidal cycle to see just how dramatic the change is in one of the world’s true maritime wonders. There are well-marked trails to observation points and to the sea floor itself.
The predicted tide times today on Friday 01 April 2022 for Hopewell Cape are: first high tide at 00:46am, first low tide at 7:15am, second high tide at 1:08pm, second low tide at 7:37pm.

The Tidal Bore in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.

There's a natural phenomenon that happens in Moncton, New Brunswick that brings people together everyday. Check THIS out!

Sure, the Petiticodiac river flows left and OUT towards the Atlantic Ocean - but - twice a day, people gather, find the best viewing spot and get their cameras ready to watch THIS

The tidal bore.

Billions of tonnes of water move into the infamous Bay of Fundy on New Brunswick’s south coast. As the water rises and pushes into the river, it creates a tidal bore with water levels reaching on average up to 2 feet. It was something I had never seen before and let me tell you, watching this for the first time, was epic. Blew me away.

That's something you have to experience in Moncton, New Brunswick. That is awesome!

Who has the best breakfast in Moncton for 2023? Check out our playlist.

Cora's in Dieppe is undoubtedly one of the best places for breakfast in Moncton, and Missy and Stuart's recent visit to the establishment is a testament to that fact. Known for its healthy and delicious breakfast options, Cora's has gained immense popularity in Moncton and across Canada.

One of the standout features of Cora's breakfast menu is the generous amount of fruit that comes with each dish. This is a refreshing change from other breakfast places that often serve heavy and greasy meals that leave you feeling sluggish and weighed down. Cora's emphasis on fresh, healthy ingredients sets it apart from the competition, making it a top choice for health-conscious diners.

With three locations in the Moncton area, Cora's has become a go-to destination for breakfast lovers. The restaurant's welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and affordable prices make it an attractive option for families, friends, and solo diners.

But it's not just the fruit and ambiance that sets Cora's apart. The restaurant's menu offers a diverse selection of breakfast items, from classic eggs and bacon to more adventurous options like crepes and waffles. The portions are generous, and the presentation is visually appealing, making the dining experience at Cora's a delight for all the senses.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a great place to have breakfast in Moncton, Cora's in Dieppe should definitely be on your list. Its healthy, delicious breakfast options, welcoming atmosphere, and affordable prices make it a top choice for locals and visitors alike.

FINAL VERDICT

After conducting a survey and analyzing the responses, it was found that Steve's Diner in Riverview was ranked as the number one breakfast place in Moncton. However, the remaining restaurants were up for debate, and there were several contenders for the top spot.

Tony's Bistro, known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious breakfast items, was a strong contender for the top spot. The restaurant offers a range of classic breakfast dishes, such as pancakes and omelets, and unique options, like their smoked salmon eggs Benedict.

Pur & Simple, a popular breakfast spot among health-conscious diners, also received high marks. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh and local ingredients to create nutritious breakfast options. Their menu features items such as chia seed pudding and avocado toast.

Jean's Restaurant, a local favorite that has been serving breakfast for over 50 years, also made a list. The restaurant is known for its generous portions and classic diner atmosphere. Their menu offers a variety of breakfast dishes, including bacon and eggs, waffles, and French toast.

Chez Linda, a cozy French café in Shediac, NB, also received recognition for its delicious breakfast offerings. The restaurant's menu includes a range of sweet and savory crepes and classic breakfast items such as eggs and bacon.

Cora's, a popular breakfast chain with locations across Canada, was also mentioned as a top breakfast spot in Moncton. The restaurant is known for its colorful and creative breakfast dishes, famous fruit-topped pancakes, and waffles.

In conclusion, while Steve's Diner in Riverview was ranked as the top breakfast spot in Moncton, several other restaurants offer delicious and unique breakfast options. Whether you're in the mood for classic breakfast dishes, health-conscious options, or creative and colorful breakfast plates, Moncton has a range of excellent breakfast spots.

Stonehurst Campground, outside Moncton NB Canada

Labour Day (Canadian spelling) weekend at a very nice campground in Eastern Canada. Being the last long weekend of the summer and the traditional end of summer for Canadians (children go back to school right after Labour Day) the park is full! We have been here almost 3 weeks and have have another 5 weeks visiting family here.

If you are going to the other Maritime provinces - Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland - all roads go through Moncton. It is worth a stop here on the backside of Lutes Mountain just outside Moncton. From here you can get to downtown in about 20 minutes, to Hopewell Cape to see the Flowerpot Rocks and experience the world's highest tides in under 45 minutes or to the Moncton Casino in about 5 minutes.

2023 Moncton Burger Festival: 46 Restaurants, Insanely Stacked Burgers, And An Amazing Lineup

Mark your calendars! The Moncton Burger Festival is returning from January 13-28, 2023. Get ready to indulge in some mouthwatering, stacked burgers from 46 participating restaurants.

We found out about the Moncton Burger Festival by accident. Since we first noticed their sign on Mountain Road in Moncton, we've always wanted to check out Big League Burger & Wings.

That is where we learned about the 2023 Moncton Burger Festival from January 13 to 28, 2023.

We hit the following local restaurants or participants in this year's Burger Festival:

Big League Burger & Wings - Rating 8.5 out of 10
Tide & Boar Brewing - Rating 9.5 out of 10
Mezza Lebanese Kitchen - Rating 7.5 out of 10

Our favourite, hands down, was The Bear at the Tide & Boar Brewing in downtown Moncton. But don't get us wrong. All the burgers were excellent, and we only sampled three locations out of approximately 40+ locations across the Moncton area.

The Moncton Burger Festival was started by Chad Steeves, owner of Tide & Boar and the festival organizer, as a way for local restaurants to boost their revenue during the slow season. The idea came from observing other cities in the Maritimes hosting similar festivals.

Moncton restaurant industry sees a surge in business thanks to the Burger Festival. We can't wait until the 2024 Moncton Burger Festival now.

Visit the Moncton Burger Festival website at

Thanks, Chad, for bringing something like this to our community here in The Maritimes.
