Livingston, Montana Walking Tour - 4K HDR City Walk - Yellowstone River Town from the Old West

Hello Walkers. We are back in the USA. It's been awhile since I filmed for the channel since I had so many walks from Italy to post. But it's summer time and the living is easy. I thought I'd start out giving you an updated tour of my little town on the Yellowstone River. No Dutton family here. Just us locals. It's a beautiful day with just a bit of clouds and wind as is usual for June here. We start downtown and I show you some fun things to do in Livingston. Then we head east a bit into a residential neighborhood and past the Lincoln School gardens and the Shane Lelani Center for the Arts. Then it's down past the High School, the skate park where they are filming a movie, past the lagoon, the civic center, miles park bandshell and to the river. I hope you enjoy this treadmill virtual walking tour.

A big thanks to all of you who have signed up for Patreon or given a one time donation via Paypal. It really helps.

I'm trying a different camera setup today and I like the footage but the audio has some problem solving to work out. Thanks for your patience.

Be sure to check out the website for searchable walks by location and run time.

7 Best Places To Live In Montana

It's not a secret that Montana is one of the most beautiful states in the United States. The Big Sky Country is the home of some natural wonders such as the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountains. In fact, the majority of the 147,000 square miles of Montana offer exquisite wildlife and unadulterated terrains. Here, you can satisfy your insatiable needs for outdoor wonders.

Of course, Montana isn't limited to this. The economy in this state is quite doing good. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, most cities and towns in this area were able to bounce back. Job opportunities are pretty vast here. Industries and markets are flourishing in Montana, and it is expected that it will still see more of this growth.

Interestingly enough, Montana is home to more than just a million. In short, the state isn't that populated despite being an expansive area in the United States. But its capital, Helena, can still give you superb metropolitan living standards.

In this video, I am going to list down all of the best places to live in Montana. If you are considering a big move to this state, you should watch the video until the end.

A tour of Livingston, Texas (road trip to Livingston Lake)

Livingston is a small town located about 75 miles NE of Houston. There's an interesting downtown square with cool looking storefronts and shops and antiques and brick buildings. Across the Tracks is a live music venue right there on the square that features songwriters in an intimate setting. I found some food at Courthouse Whistle Stop Cafe before heading over into the West Livingston area an Lake Livingston State Park. The lake is the second largest lake that's entirely within the state of Texas, and folks go there to go fishing and kayaking and camping. There's supposed to be some gaters around there as well. Then I went to Tempe Creek Vineyard for my gig. Good times.

Visiting Lake Livingston State Park near Houston, Texas, USA

#statepark #texas #texasstateparks #houston
Hello and welcome to Traveling with Luigi!

In this episode my wife and I will visit Lake Livingston State Park in Texas!

Where is Lake Livingston?
It is located to the north east of Houston George Bush Intercontinental airport, about 1 hr 10 min drive. Lake Livingston is one of the largest lakes in the state of Texas, with 83000 surface acres
For a fee under $10 per adult you can enter this park for the day.

Lake Livingston State Park opened in 1977. And it is located on 635 acres along the southeastern edge of Lake Livingston in Polk County.
There are six trails in this park for a total of 5.7 miles of hiking and biking paths.

Let me share with you a bit about the history of lake Livingston . A dam of the Trinity River created this lake that provides water for the city of Houston and other East Texas cities. It is ideal for boating and fishing because of its size and constant level.
The Trinity River and surrounding valley have been home to a variety of cultures for centuries. Humans have long known about the valley’s abundant natural resources.

In the 1800s the Trinity River valley offered good land for cotton farming. What’s more, the river provided convenient means to transport cotton to the port cities of Houston and Galveston. In present day timber is the primary product of the area and is mainly transported through this river to those port cities.

Your options for spending the night include campsites from $14-30 depending on the utilities available, Screened shelters for $35. At Lake

Livingston State Park, you can swim (be aware if alligators and swim only in designated areas), fish, boat, hike, bird sighting, camp, picnic, mountain bike, geocache and study nature.

Nearly 50 inches (127cm) of rain falls annually in this area. Mild temperatures average 51F (11C) degrees in the winter and 81F (27C) degrees in the summer. Highs in the summer sometimes reach 100F (38C) degrees. But don’t worry; you can cool off in Lake Livingston!

The park is home to small mammals such as armadillos, raccoons, opossums and southern flying squirrels. White-tailed deer frequent the park, and there are occasional sightings of bobcats and coyotes.

As for fish, crappie are active in the spring and early summer, while bluegill and channel catfish bite along the shoreline year-round. You can also Fish for white, striped and largemouth bass from spring through fall. White bass are especially plentiful and grow quite large.

There is a group hall for gatherings of up to 50 people $125 per day, with Air conditioned, heater, outdoor grill, restrooms, tables, chairs, picnic tables and is wheelchair accessible, everything you need to have a party!

As you you will see the sunsets in Texas are beautiful! We don’t’ seem to have enough of them.

Thank you for watching and HAPPY TRAVELS!

Wikifacts:
Livingston is the county seat of Park County, Montana, United States. It is in southwestern Montana, on the Yellowstone River, north of Yellowstone National Park. Its population was 7,044 at the 2010 census.
The founding of the small historical railroad and ranching town of Livingston is a direct result of the Northern Pacific Railway. This site became a centralized point in the Rockies and the NPR's location for railroad shops to service NPR steam trains before their ascent of the Bozeman Pass, the line's highest point. Livingston also became the first gateway town to America's first national park, Yellowstone, which the NPR promoted heavily to visitors from the East. The NPR operated a branch line running 50 miles south through Paradise Valley, first to Cinnabar station and later to Gardiner, Montana.
n December 21, 1882, Livingston was incorporated and named in honor of Johnston Livingston, pioneer Northern Pacific Railway stockholder, director and friend of Northern Pacific Railroad President Henry Villard. Johnston Livingston was director from 1875–1881 and 1884–1887. Crawford Livingston Jr., Johnston's nephew, is more commonly considered the town's namesake. Crawford bought the real estate after the survey and on July 17, 1883, established the First National Bank in the city. Often he spoke of Livingston as his town, and he apparently enjoyed the publicity of supposedly having a city named for him. But the name Livingston has always stood out in the Northern Pacific official family.

Livingston is along the Yellowstone River where it bends from north to east toward Billings and in proximity to Interstate 90. In July 1806 Captain William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition camped on the city's present outskirts on the return trip east preparing to descend the Yellowstone River. Clark's party rejoined the Lewis party at the confluence with the Missouri River, near Williston, North Dakota.
Historically a railroad city until the mid-1980s, the city today depends significantly on tourism. The Federation of Fly Fishers is based in Livingston.
