My Top 10 Things to do in Cornwall

After my trip to Cornwall in the summer of 2021, I have put together a top 10 list of activities and places, ranked in order personal to me.

If you've watched the other 19 videos in this travel vlog series, do you have any ideas as to what might make the cut?

Across my time in Cornwall I visited Rocky Valley Tintagel, took a Camel Trail bike ride into Padstow, saw Enys Dodnan Arch just along from Lands End Cornwall, visited the National Trust Godolphin, wandered past Botallack Mine, took part in a Kernow Coasteering tour at Praa Sands, ate lunch at Nanjizal Beach, hiked past Porthgwarra Beach took a tour around the National Trust Cornwall 's Levant Beam Engine, stayed in some really quirky Cornwall Accommodations, went on a Waverunner Safaris Carlyon Bay, paid through the nose to visit the not so tranquil St Nectan's Glen, played like a big kid at Glendurgan Maze, looked on in awe as we hiked down the coastal cliffs to Porthcurno beach, Completed sections of the SW Coast Path walk, notably from Lizard Point to Kynance Cove along the Lizard peninsula, from Boscastle to Tintagel and Lands End to Porthcurno Beach, taking in a performance at the Minack Theatre along the way. I went on the Godolphin Hill walk and explored Trengwainton gardens, and not to forget the scenic St Erth to St Ives Train ride.

10 Most Hated Towns in England

What are the most hated towns in England? No matter how good a country is, every part of it can’t be loved equally. In fact, some parts of it are bound to be hated. Even the most fanatic lover of a country will love some parts of it less than others. I have heard some people complaining about some towns in England, the home of the Queen that some people are dying to live and work in. That prompts research into the 10 most hated towns in England.
This ranking is based mainly on the comments and complaints of residents of England and visitors to those towns. But it’s not limited to that since some complaints can be completely baseless. We dig deeper in researching these 10 most hated towns in England.
10. Slough
Let’s begin with Slough, a town in Berkshire, within the historic county of Buckinghamshire. This town is 20 miles west of central London and 19 miles northeast of Reading. You will find the town in the Thames Valley and within the London metropolis around the area at the intersection of the M4.
In spite of its location, Slough according to those visitors, is a town whose streets are littered with empty takeaway and full of packets or empty beer cans. This assertion hasn’t been contradicted by even just one resident. The quality of food in the town’s restaurants appears, kind of, made for losers who’re just out to eat as much unhealthy food as they can get away with.
9. Scunthorpe
It’s not desirable to find Scunthorpe among the most hated towns in England. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to take it out of our list because the facts obviously place it there. This industrial town in the unitary authority of North Lincolnshire should normally be the pride of Lincolnshire as its main administrative center. But the town with an estimated population of 82,334 in 2016 had many things going against it.
Residents of the UK’s largest steel processing center, also known as the Industrial Garden Town, are frustrated by a lack of the liveliness and diversity in the town only known for work. However, the loudest grouse that lists Scunthorpe alongside the most hated towns in England is the indiscriminate censorship and blocking of websites for spurious reasons.

One of the notable aspects of Pensilva's history is its association with the mining industry. 4K Exploring Cornwall || 2 - Looe Valley Line || Penzance to Liskeard and Looe

Several years (and a lockdown) in the making, I made my way down to Cornwall to take in some of the stunning routes and scenery of the area. Shot across a long weekend in the summer, the series is split into a number of parts.

Part 2 covers two journeys: the Cornish Mainline from Penzance to Liskeard, then the endlessly fascinating Looe Valley Line from Liskeard to Looe. At just 8¾mi (14km) long, it packs a lot of unusual features into a journey just under half an hour long. A trip to Looe wouldn't be so without a walk around it, ambling through the narrow streets. Join me on an increasingly rare trip nowadays on an HST along the mainline and a Class 150/2 Sprinter down to the southeast Cornwall coast.

Places to see in ( Looe - UK )

Places to see in ( Looe - UK )

Looe is a small coastal town, fishing port and civil parish in south-east Cornwall, England. Looe is 20 miles (32 km) west of Plymouth and seven miles (11 km) south of Liskeard, divided in two by the River Looe, East Looe and West Looe (meaning Little Cove) being connected by a bridge. Looe developed as two separate towns each with MPs and its own mayor.

The town centres around a small harbour and along the steep-sided valley of the River Looe which flows between East and West Looe to the sea beside a sandy beach. Offshore to the west, opposite the stonier Hannafore Beach, lies Looe Island.

With the Victorian fashion for seaside holidays, Looe evolved as a tourist town, with nearby Talland Bay being dubbed the playground of Plymouth. This trend continued throughout the 20th century; more and more hotels and tourist facilities were built in the town, and Looe grew and prospered, with peaks in fishing and boatbuilding following the First and Second World Wars. Looe remains a fishing town, and retained several fish dealers operating from the quayside of East Looe until the advent of EU regulations. With its fleet of small fishing boats returning their catches to port daily, Looe has a reputation for procuring excellent fresh fish. The town is also a centre for shark fishing, and is the home of the Shark Angling Club of Great Britain.

Nonetheless, Looe's main business today is tourism, with much of the town given over to hotels, guest houses and holiday homes, along with a large number of pubs, restaurants and beach equipment, ice cream and Cornish pasty vendors. Inland from Looe lie many camping and caravan sites, as well as the famous Woolly Monkey Sanctuary. Other local attractions include the beaches, sailing, fishing and diving, and spectacular coastal walks (especially via Talland to Polperro). South East Cornwall boasts several stately homes, including Antony House, Cotehele, Mount Edgcumbe and Lanhydrock House, as well as the Eden Project near St Austell which tourists can access by road. Outside the busy summer months, the town remains a centre for shopping and entertainment for local villagers. Annually in late September, the town is the destination of choice for thousands of music lovers and top name performers for the Looe Music Festival, which takes place in temporary venues around the town, harbour and on East Looe beach.

East Looe centres on its broad sandy beach, with the distinctive Banjo Pier designed by Joseph Thomas, a new lifeboat station and St Mary's Church. Stretching back from the church is a grid of narrow streets forming the main business area of the town, packed with many small shops, restaurants and pubs and the Old Guildhall, now a museum. Along the estuary lies the quay with its fish merchants. Towards Looe Bridge lies the Victorian Guildhall, and just north of the bridge the railway station. This is the terminus of the Looe Valley branch line to Liskeard, where it connects to the Great Western Main Line and services to London Paddington. On the hilltop above East Looe lies Shutta, and beyond that the Sunrising housing estate and Looe Community Academy. Along the cliffs to the east is Plaidy Beach, and further on the bay and village of Millendreath.

West Looe spreads west from the bridge on the Polperro Road towards Sclerder, and along the river south of the bridge, with hotels, restaurants and boarding houses along the waterfront and houses climbing the perilous cliff above, towards a cluster of shops and businesses and the Church of St. Nicholas. Further south along the coast road is Hannafore Point, marking the edge of Looe Harbour, with to the west the wide, stony Hannafore Beach, facing across a narrow channel to Looe Island. Beyond lies the coastal path leading to Portnadler Bay, Talland and Porthallow, and then onward to Polperro. Two towers mark one end of a nautical measured mile, the other end is marked by two towers near Talland Bay.

( Looe - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Looe . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Looe - UK

Looe Cornwall UK 2022 | Scenic Drive UK | 4K Driving Tour - Visit Cornwall 2022 #Cornwall #Travel

Another relaxing scenic drive through Cornwall UK, Looe to be exact
The seaside town of Looe keeps visitors entertained all year round whilst still retaining a working fishing port. Stand on the quayside in the evening and watch the boats return before dining on fresh fish in a local restaurant. The town prides itself on it's fresh fish, and be it award winning fish and chips near the river or gourmet menus in smart restaurants overlooking the harbour, you know you won't be disappointed.

Looe's main beach offers soft golden sand and slopes gently to provide safe swimming and a regular sun trap. It is easily accessible from the town providing all you need for a relaxing day including cafe's and shops

Looe has a long harbour wall that stretches up to the Victorian bridge and is perfect for catching crabs from. A line, a small bucket, a piece of bacon and a bit of patience is all you need to keep the kids entertained for hours

Take a trip out to Looe Island, once a holy pilgrimage site, nowadays it's a sanctuary for rare plants and wildlife. It’s here you’ll find a grey seal population sunbathing on the rocks and doing all manner of cute things as you observe them from a bobbing boat

Often reported to be in the top 4 places in the UK to celebrate New Year, thousands of revellers flock to Looe dressed in an array of fabulous costumes to bring in the new year. Plenty of bonhomie topped off with a fantastic firework display on the seafront.

Fishing is big business in the town and visitors can try their hand with a rod and line on organised mackerel fishing trips close to the shore or for big game hunters, you can take a boat and head down to meet the Gulf Stream 25 miles out to sea to seek out crafty blue sharks

Lookout for the beach view from Rock Towers, absolutely stunning view
