Lille is a city in ???????? northern France ???????? near the border with Belgium on the river Deule. It is the capital of both French Flanders and the Northern Department, as well as the Hauts-de-France region. Capital of the Hauts-de-France region and City of Art and History, Lille has a remarkable architectural and cultural heritage. The historic district, rich in monuments, the Flemish facades and pleasant walking paths, really invite you to walk. The Old Stock Exchange, overlooking the famous Grote Markt, is a beautiful building in Flemish baroque style dating from the 17th century. This jewel of Old Lille is made up of 24 houses set around a charming courtyard. The Old Stock Exchange, a busy place, in the center of which stands the column of Déesse, is surrounded by beautiful buildings. The city is mainly called 'Rijsel' in Flanders, in the Netherlands the French name 'Lille' is more common.

Lille, hoofdstad van de regio Hauts-de-France en Kunst- en Geschiedenisstad, heeft een opmerkelijk bouwkundig en cultureel erfgoed. De historische wijk, rijk aan monumenten, de Vlaamse gevels en aangename wandelpaden, nodigen echt uit om te wandelen. De Oude Beurs, met zicht op de gekende Grote Markt, is een prachtig gebouw in Vlaamse barokstijl daterend uit de 17e eeuw. Dit juweeltje van Oud-Rijsel is samengesteld uit 24 huizen die rond een charmante binnenplaats liggen. Lille! Getting to know this fantastic city in northern France!
Lille is a fantastic place and I really enjoyed getting to know this part of northern France. In this video I go to the Wazemmes, the Palais de Beaux Arts and the beautiful train station. The city has very much its own feel and culture, being situated so close to the boarder with Belgium. It was a real treat getting to know this city and all of the incredible culture that it has to offer.
