The park is also the gateway to the woods and lakes of the vast Ocala National Forest to the east.

Rainbow Springs State Park is Florida's fourth largest spring churning out over 450 million gallons of water per day. The park is filled with history and there is evidence that the springs have been used by people for 10 000 years. Now if that doesn't impress you I don't know what will!
There's a two-mile nature trail snack bar and awesome man-made waterfalls that were built when the area was a privately-owned attraction.

Fort Cooper State Park - Inverness, FL
In this video we explore the 700 acre area of Fort Cooper State Park in Inverness, FL. This park has open natural settings and rests against Lake Holathlikaha. It offers access to the Withlacoochee State Trail and gives visitors simple access in and out of the park. There are historic markers and signs scattered throughout the area providing guests with facts about Major Anthony Cooper and his military involvement. Water rentals and community reenactments are among some of the activities guest may enjoy in a normal capacity. Unfortunately most of the activities were closed during our visit. Come along as we explore this place!

Dames & Peace Caves
On today's adventure, we took a trip to Lecanto (near Brooksville) to explore some caves! This area contains many different caves, some are well known while others are more hidden. We explored some of the trails and enjoyed the surrounding nature. Many families were out and about enjoying their day. The trails are pet friendly but dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. In this video, we visited Cavallo Farm & Market in Lecanto, FL. It is a small blueberry farm that offers a you-pick option as well as pre-picked blueberries for a reasonable price. The you-pick normally starts in March but the season was late this year. There is also a market where you can get small knickknacks and farm fresh ingredients for preparing meals. A small café is located on site that sells fresh farm-to-table meals to satisfy any hunger you may have acquired while exploring the 44 acre farm. The Winery was not open at this time so call ahead for more information. They also cater weddings. We had a blast just roaming the land and picking our own blueberries. Come along as we put our harvesting skills to the test and sample some of the food!
