10 Amazing Places to Visit in Thailand
In today’s video, we will be talking about the 10 best places to visit in Thailand. One of the places in this video offers a perfect blend of incredible mountains and an array of historically rich architecture. Another spot has a unique National Park where you will discover some of the most stunning waterfalls like the mighty Wachirathan Waterfall. Welcome and let’s get started.
10. Bangkok, Central Thailand
Bangkok is home to stunning architecture like the gigantic Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho and the extravagant temples at the Grand Palace.
Ride the sky train with an air-conditioned carriage to get a fascinating view of the city. You can also take a boat trip down the Chao Phraya river and get to see high-rise condominiums and fancy hotels. If you have enough time, to take a trip around Chatuchak market and for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city then Lumpini park is the place to be.
While in Bangkok, don’t forget to enjoy a nice selection of cheap and delicious street food in Chinatown and also sip a drink at one of the many rooftop bars.
9. Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand
Located in the northern part of Thailand, Chiang Mai is home to many ancient structures, some of which are more than 700 years old. Explore a perfect blend of incredible mountains, and an array of historically rich architecture.
If you are interested, you can do a meditation course at Wat Doi Suthep. At your leisure, visit the elephant nature park, ride the Mae Hong Son Loop, explore the Buddhist temple, wander the Sunday walking street markets, and you can also spend some time with the A locals.
Visit the Chiang Mai women’s correctional institute to get a massage or you can get a sak yant from a monk. Don’t forget to enjoy the regional noodle dish, Khao Soi, and Sai Au, the spicy Chiang Mai sausages.
8. Doi Inthanon, Northern Thailand
Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand, it is 2,565 meters high. From the cooler-than-usual breeze to the early morning frost during the wintertime, this magnificent mountain is worth exploring.
7. Mae Hong Son Loop, Northern Thailand
The Mae Hong Son Loop is a 600 km long road that loops around the far-flung northern province of Mae Hong Son, taking you through some of the most stunning landscapes you will ever see in Thailand.
6. Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand
Chiang Rai is known for its work of art. It is home to one of the most intricately designed temples in the country, the White Temple. Not too far, you will also find the Wat Huay Pla Kang Chinese temple which is home to the giant Guany Yi Statue.

5. Sukhothai, Northern Thailand
Sukhothai is a small town in the lower northern part of Thailand. It is the birthplace of all things traditional and there is no better place to learn about the history of the Thais than in Sukhothai.
Visit the massive Sukhothai Historical Park where you will be able to bike around the well-preserved ancient structures, Wat Maha That, the main and the largest temple complex in the park, take a day trip to Si Satchanalai and also check out Wat Sa Si.
4. Ayutthaya, Central Thailand
In Ayutthaya, you will find a ton of amazingly well-preserved ancient structures that are big and impressive. Ayutthaya became the capital city of Siam which in turn became a foundation of Thai modern history of today.
3. Kanchanaburi, Central Thailand
While you are here, relive history at the death railway bridge, visit the JEATH war museum and you can also check out the hellfire pass museum but make sure you come equipped.
Visit Wat Tham Mongkon Thong to see the floating nuns, take a trip to Sai Yok Noi waterfall, and you can also check out the Prasat Muang Singh.
2. Khao Sok Lake, Southern Thailand
Khao Sok Lake is located deep within the Ratchaprapha Dam in Surat Thani. One of the best things you can do in Khao Sok is to go on a boat tour around the lake and spend the night on one of these floating bungalows located deep inside the lake, surrounded by untouched forest, limestone mountains, and the calm and clear water of Ratchaprapha Dam.
1. Krabi, Southern Thailand
Krabi is home to stunning beaches and there are a lot of adventure activities here. Experience the calmness of sandy beaches and the adrenaline-pumping activities around limestone cliffs and dense mangroves all in one trip.

Lampang, Thailand the Top Things To Do
Welcome to Lampang; the land where time stands still. A place where you can truly unwind and experience a unique and infectiously laid-back way of life that has remained largely unchanged for years. Despite all it has to offer, the area still receives comparatively few visitors, giving the area a wonderfully ‘undiscovered’ feel.
So join us as we take a look at just some of the highlights that Lampang has to offer.
Most visitors to Lampang are drawn to the province for its famed Thai Elephant Conservation Centre, the only centre of its kind in Thailand under Royal patronage. Founded in 1992, it currently cares for around 50 Asian elephants as well as housing six of the King’s ten white elephants. Visitors can learn about all about elephant conservation, watch one of the regular elephant performances, and the ever-popular elephant bath time. Elephant trekking, overnight homestays and even mahout training courses are also possible, though I’d strongly recommend making an advanced booking as places fill up fast.
The charming city of Lampang nestled in the broad river valley of the Wang River and surrounded by stunning mountain ranges is home to many impressive Laana era temples, including this one, Wat Phra Tat Lampang Luang located just 30 minutes from the city centre, and definitely worth a visit. Many of the temples in the area are constructed from timber and adorned with ornate carvings and decorations. So if visiting temples is your thing, then you really are spoilt for choice.
For many, travel in Thailand conjures up images of tuk tuks or long tail boats, but Lampang takes an altogether more relaxed approach to getting around. And the preferred method of travel? The good old fashioned horse and cart. So what better was to explore the city than by taking a leisurely ride through the city streets with your feet up in the back of a horse drawn carriage?
Lampang really is a gem in the crown of northern Thailand, so if relaxing riverside bars and restaurants, spectacular temples, friendly, laid-back locals and abundant wildlife and nature are your thing, then why not pay Lampang a visit. We’re sure you won’t regret it.

Stunning Mountaintop Pagodas in Lampang, Thailand
Wat Chalermprakiat in Lampang Province, Northern Thailand is still somehow a well-kept secret. Despite it being absolutely beautiful, most people don't actually know about it. Even us, pretty well-traveled in Thailand, we'd only ever seen it in a few photos here and there, or a quick cutaway shot in a Thailand video. The place is stunning though. This is the temple for people who don't normally like visiting temples. Really one of the cooler Northern Thailand destinations we've seen.

Is Lampang Thailand’s Most Underrated City? ???????? This travel vlog takes you to the morning market at the Train Station in Lampang in Northern Thailand. We see exotic Thai Food like Eels, Frogs, Snails and more but also go to a new burger restaurant and eat super delicious hamburgers. The food market was full of action like most are in South East Asia and Thai people were feeling festive because it was Loy Krathong, a big Thai Holiday. Going on a food tour to Morning Markets like this is a real Thai experience and if you travel to Thailand or South East Asia, I recommend you visit the real markets so you can have an authentic experience and see how the local people live. It truly is great people watching and such a different experience than you get shopping in the western world. This visit to the market in Lampang was eye opening to say the least. I love to see the street art in different cities, it is a tourist activity I actually enjoy really doing! If you are traveling to Thailand in 2021, there is a lot to discover as a tourist. Visit lesser known cities in Thailand and you will be guaranteed a more organic connection with the local Thai people and a travel experience you will always remember. First Impressions of Lampang - UNSEEN parts of Thailand
We finally arrived in Lampang Province just 2 hours away from Chiang Mai. We last left you at the train station where we take a 2nd class coach that costs only $1.50!
In this video we show our first impressions of this quirky city that had a certain energy and vibe to it! Cobblestone paving, incredible food and even HORSE CARRIAGES! You must be thinking, wait, what?! Yup, horse carriages are still used as a mode of transport in this city.
This city seems quite old, filled with loads of temples that were built in the 13th century. We discover loads of incredible sites, shrines and temples situated all over town and even some hidden away in the DEEP jungle!

We travel to Lampang on our scooter to see one of Northern Thailand's most underrated gems - Lampang! Lampang is the major city in the Lampang Province, and boasts an amazing Saturday Night Market, a charming old colonial style town, and so much of the wonderful hospitality that Northern Thailand is famous for.
Watch us eat street food, get rained on, ride our scooter through the jungle, and meet a very happy Thai man at lunch. Enjoy!
