Every day during the summer, thousands of people come to Grand Bend. On the weekends, there are several thousand people. Grand Bend is the ideal place to lie on the sand, soak in the sun, and play in the water.
Thousands of people go to Grand Bend for its beautiful beach, with turquoise water, soft sand, great shops, good restaurants, and lots of fun.
Grand Bend is one of the liveliest beaches in Canada. The beach is well maintained and clean.
Washrooms, change rooms and water fountains available in the beach house.
There are lifeguards along the beach.
You can enjoy activities like parasailing, paddleboarding, jet skiing, skateboarding, and others in Grand Bend.
Beyond the beach, Grand Bend has a lot of things to do. Along the Main Street there is a wide choice of restaurants, patios, breweries, bistros, and shops to enjoy.
Bylaw officers patrol the beach. Dogs are not allowed on the beach. Drink alcohol is also not allowed on the beach. Tents not allowed too (take an umbrella, or rent on Main Street), they will ask you to take it down. OPP check often. You can find any beach gear on Grand Bend Main Street.
In Grand Bend there are many kinds of accommodation, Colonial Hotel is one of them.
All day parking is $25 on the public parking yard, and $40-$50 on other parking areas.
Grand Bend is located 55 km from the London Ontario, 70 km from Sarnia, 180 km from Hamilton, 220 km from Toronto, and 111 miles from Detroit USA.

Restrictions have lifted a little, so in today's vlog we head to the beach for a wintery day trip! When you think 'beach', most people don't think about winter. But the beaches here in Ontario turn into a whole new landscape in the winter. It's definitely a sight to see!
Grand Bend and Pinery Provincial Park are found on the west coast of Ontario in the Lambton Shores area. Grand bend in the winter turns into a winter wonderland, with a build up of snow and ice on top of the lake - it seriously looks like a whole other world. Pinery Provincial Park is also one of the few provincial parks that remain open in the winter for camping! These stops are definitely worth adding to your list of thing to do in Ontario.
