Durbuy is situated on the meandering Ourthe river and was of great strategic importance. It offered the opportunity to make a crossing from one bank of the Ourthe to the other.
Although Durbuy is the smallest town in Belgium, it still has a lot of sights. The narrow streets and alleys give an inviting feeling and can easily be explored on foot. The town is also well known for its stone houses and cobbled streets
