Dhaka, Bangladesh's capital, is located in southern Asia. It is located along the Buriganga River, in the heart of the country's government, commerce, and culture. The old city was the Mughal capital of Bengal in the 17th century, and many palaces and mosques still stand. The National Parliament House complex, designed by American architect Louis Khan, depicts a massive, rapidly growing futuristic metropolis.
Dhaka is home to more than 50 diplomatic missions, as well as the BIMSTEC and CIRDAP headquarters. Rickshaws, gastronomy, art events, and religious diversity are all part of the city's culture. Approximately 2000 buildings from the Mughal and British periods can be seen in the old city.

বিবিকা রওজা
রাজধানীর সবচেয়ে পুরনো ইমামবাড়া ওল্ড ঢাকার ফরাশগঞ্জের ‘বিবিকা রওজা’।
যা নির্মিত হয় ১৬০০ সালে। এই মাজারটি অন্যান্য মাজারের মত নয়। মহানবী হযরত মোহাম্মদ (সাঃ) এর কন্যা ও ইসলামের চতুর্থ খলিফা হযরত আলীর বিবি মা ফাতেমা (রা.)-এর নামে নির্মিত এই মাজার।
প্রতিবছর মহরম মাসের ১ ধেকে ১০ তারিখে আশুরা উপলক্ষ্যে জমজমাট হয়ে ওঠে বিবিকা রওজা মাজার। তখন এখানে নানা রকম আচার অনুষ্ঠান হয়।
এই ‘বিবিকা রওজা’ থেকে শিয়া সম্প্রদায়ের লোকেরা বের করেন বিশাল তাজিয়া মিছিল যা শহরের বিভিন্ন এলাকা প্রদক্ষিণ করে।
শত শত বছর ধরে বাঙালি শিয়া সম্প্রদায়ের লোকেরা ইমাম সেন (রা.)-এর মৃত্যুকে স্মরণ করতে তাজিয়া মিছিলে কারবালার চিত্র দৃশ্যায়ন করে আসছে।
ঢাকায় কবে থেকে তাজিয়া মিছিল শুরু,
তার সঠিক ইতিহাস না পাওয়া গেলেও লোকমুখে জানা যায়, ১৬০০ সালে প্রথম ইমামবাড়া হিসেবে
‘বিবিকা রওজা’ নির্মিত হয়। আর তাজিয়া মিছিল শুরু হয় তারও প্রায় অর্ধশত বছর পরে।
এখানে একমাত্র দর্শনীয় জিনিস হিসেবে ইমামবাড়া বা বিবিকা রওজার কথাই প্রথমে বলতে হয়।
মা ফাতেমা (রা.)-এর নামের অনুকরণে নির্মিত
এই ইমামবাড়া। সকল মুসলমান শিয়া,
সুন্নী তথা নর-নারী, বৃদ্ধ সব বয়সের লোক এখানে আসেন বিবিকা রওজা দেখতে।
সকলেই ব্যক্তিগত ভাবে নানা রকম মানত, মাজার নিয়াজ ও আত্মতৃপ্তির জন্য এখানে আসেন।
মহিলা ও পুরুষদের আলাদা ব্যবস্থা থাকায় এখানে মহিলাদের আনাগোনা চোখে পড়ার মত।
সবাই তাদের মানতের টাকা চেরাগী বাক্সে দেয়।
বিবিকা রওজা’র খাদেম ও মোতওয়াল্লী বেগম খোদেজা ইয়াসিন জানান, শত শত বছর ধরে ইমাম হোসেন (রা.) শহীদ হওয়ার দিনটি উপলক্ষে তাজিয়া মিছিল বের করা হয়। এই মিছিল মূলত শোক মিছিল। তার মৃত্যুতে শোক জানাতেই প্রতিবছর তাজিয়া মিছিল বের হয়। সেদিন মিছিল দেখার জন্য হাজার হাজার মানুষ ওল্ড ঢাকায় ভিড় করেন।
