In this video, I head as far south as I can go in mainland Japan to Yamaguchi prefecture. Yamaguchi is mostly a rural prefecture, its beautiful sprawling natural landscapes are some of the most scenic in all of Japan. Along the Western coast is Japan's most picturesque shrine, Motonosumi Shrine, Japan's largest and longest limestone cave and plateau are spread across the midlands, and on the Eastern edge of Yamaguchi is a unique bridge known to be the best spot for cherry blossom viewing.

I based myself near Higashi Hagi station and explored the old castle ruins, Daishoin temple, Aibagawa waterway, Tokoji temple and Shoin shrine.
It took a while getting to grips with getting around the city by public transport but was able to enjoy some of the most epic and beautiful Japanese temples and shrines I've ever seen.
Best of all there were very few people in these incredible Japanese tourist spots and japanese shrines.
If you like japanese temples then hagi japan will be quite a surprise!

4K HDR JAPAN - TSUNOSHIMA ISLAND
Tsunoshima (角島) is an island located in the Sea of Japan. Located in the north west of Yamaguchi Prefecture, it is a part of Shimonoseki city. The island has an area of 4.1 square kilometers (1.6 sq mi) and has a coastline of 17.1 kilometres (10.6 mi). The island consists primarily of basalt, and is a part of the Kita-Nagato Kaigan Quasi-National Park. As of 28 August 2008, the population of Tsunoshima is 907.
Tsunoshima Bridge crosses the Amagaseto Strait in the Sea of Japan, linking the island of Tsunoshima with the mainland at Hōhoku, Shimonoseki. It is 1,780 m (5,840 ft) long, making it the second-longest bridge in Japan behind the Akashi Kaikyō Bridge.
The bridge is noted for its distinctive curved shape: it proceeds straight as it extends from the mainland before curving as it passes Hatoshima, an uninhabited island located in the strait. As Tsunoshima Bridge is located within the borders of Kita-Nagato Kaigan Quasi-National Park, the bridge was intentionally curved to avoid passing through Hatoshima, thus preserving its natural environment; the height of the bridge was also limited to preserve the landscape of the surrounding area.

Tsunoshima (角島) é uma ilha localizada no Mar do Japão. Localizado no noroeste da província de Yamaguchi, faz parte da cidade de Shimonoseki. A ilha tem uma área de 4,1 quilômetros quadrados (1,6 milhas quadradas) e tem um litoral de 17,1 quilômetros (10,6 milhas). A ilha consiste principalmente de basalto e faz parte do Parque Kita-Nagato Kaigan Quasi-National. Em 28 de agosto de 2008, a população de Tsunoshima era de 907.

Spot 1: Izumo Taisha Shrine
Izumo used to be the heartland of Japanese gods long before Nara and Kyoto. Izumo Taisha is one of the oldest shrines in Japan. People seeking love come here from all over Japan to visit this home of the god(s) of love and marriage.
After visiting Izumo Taisha, take a tour of the museum of ancient relics and enjoy the surrounding nature. The world heritage site Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine is just one hour away from here.
Spot 2: Inasano Hama Beach
Inasano Hama is a beautiful sandy beach selected as one of the top 100 beaches in Japan and is a popular swimming spot in the summer.
Inasano Hama is famous for its beautiful scenic power spot. Bentenjima in the center of the beach is a symbol of once enshrined Benzaiten where now Toyotama-hime is enshrined.
Food: Izumo Zenzai (red bean soup)
Unlike normal red bean soup, Izumo Zenzai is made with salted large azuki beans, creating both savory and sweet flavors with more soup.
Izumo is known as the origin of red bean soup (zenzai) and there are many shops where you can enjoy this delicious soup.
