These 7 things to know before visiting Belgium are what I wish I knew before visiting Bruges and Brussels, Belgium.
Hopefully these travel tips will help you from making some of my mistakes when traveling through Belgium! These travel tips are for Bruges and Brussels but should be helpful for any trip to Belgium :)

This video was taken with DJI Mini 2 in March 2021
Mortsel is a city and municipality close to the city of Antwerp located in the Belgian province of Antwerp.
The city consists of the areas Mortsel-Dorp, Oude-God and Luithagen. Mortsel is bordered by Antwerp (districts Wilrijk, Berchem and Deurne), Borsbeek, Boechout, Hove, and Edegem
Mortsel was the scene for one of the major collateral damage tragedies of World War II. On April 5, 1943, the Minerva car factory, then used to repair Luftwaffe planes, was the target of a big bombing raid by the USAAF. Unfortunately most bombs missed the target and hit a residential area instead, resulting in the deaths of 936 civilians, including 209 children, exceeding the civilian death toll of the Guernica raid which modern estimates put at 400.[2]
The last V2 launched against Antwerp also fell in Mortsel, killing 27 people, on March 27, 1945.

Hoy les mostraremos Lier, una pequeña ciudad de la provincia de Amberes, en Bélgica. Sus orígenes se remontan al menos a la época romana. En particular, la ciudad fue especialmente próspera prácticamente durante toda la Edad Media, sobre todo por su industria ganadera y su producción textil. Aunque ha sufrido muchos daños a lo largo de su historia, sobre todo durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, hoy cuenta con un acogedor centro histórico. De hecho, la mayoría de las estructuras de estilo medieval que aún se conservan, como el ayuntamiento y su campanario, son réplicas exactas de las originales.
A continuación, vamos a recorrer la ciclovía de Lier hasta Boechout, donde visitaremos el Den Steenen Molen, un molino de viento de 1782.

Buitenland Bornem - Filmpjes Jan De prins
Buitenland is een gehucht in het noorden van de Belgische gemeente Bornem in de provincie Antwerpen. Het gehucht is gelegen aan de Schelde. Een kaart uit 1804 geeft aan dat er een grote boerderij stond van de familie Merckx en daarnaast nog 4 huizen. Vanaf 1845 veranderde de situatie; toen werd een mandenmakerij opgericht. Na verdere inpoldering groeide het gehucht onder stimulans van het familiebedrijf uit tot een woonkern. Het gehucht heeft geen kerk of school. Het blijft tot op heden nog steeds een biologisch waardevol gebied. Belangrijke bouwwerken bevinden zich vooral in de straat Buitenland, en in beperktere mate in de straten Reek en Vitsdam. Onder meer de Sint-Jacobstoren, het Reuzenhuis en de Gildekamer zijn vermeldenswaard .
Im Ausland befindet sich ein Weiler im Norden der belgischen Gemeinde Bornem in der Provinz Antwerpen. Der Weiler liegt an der Schelde. Eine Karte aus dem Jahr 1804 zeigt, dass es einen großen Bauernhof der Familie Merckx und 4 Häuser daneben gab. Ab 1845 änderte sich die Situation; dann wurde ein Korbwaren gegründet. Nach weiterer Rückgewinnung entwickelte sich der Weiler unter dem Einfluss des Familienunternehmens zu einem Wohnzentrum. Der Weiler hat keine Kirche oder Schule. Es ist bis heute ein biologisch wertvolles Gebiet. Wichtige Gebäude befinden sich hauptsächlich in der Straße Buitenland und in geringerem Maße in den Straßen Reek und Vitsdam. Erwähnenswert sind unter anderem die Sint-Jacobstoren, das Riesenhaus und das Gildenzimmer.

Rilli's Good Food | The Barbaar | A €9 burger served outdoors | Best Burgers of Belgium #1
We went to look for Belgium's Best hamburgers and stranded in Kontich's summer pop up Barbaar where Rilli's good food are working their Hamburger Magic!
Zomerbar BarBaar is located in Kontich's Altenapark and is open from the first weekend of June until the last weekend of august.
The burger we tried is the €9 'Barbaar' which was a Double Beef burger with onion ring, tomato, bacon, cheddar cheese and chipotle barbecue sauce on an authentic buttery hamburger bun.
We absolutely loved the juiciness and taste of this burger and the price is also really good. Watch the video to find out what we rate this burger.

Welkom in het Hof Ter Beke in Wilrijk bij de Belgische stad Antwerpen. Wij bevinden ons aan de Terbekehofdreef vlakbij de Belgische autosnelweg A12. Middenin het park ligt het kasteel Hof ter Beke, het enige kasteel in Wilrijk met een toren. Dit beschermde monument in Vlaamse neorenaissance stijl staat op fundamenten uit de 14de eeuw. Het is een plek met veel geschiedenis, grandeur, klasse en verhalen die de voorbije jaren vooral over het verval ervan gingen. Het is een waar Château Hof ter Beke. Nu heeft het gerenoveerde Hof ter Beke een nieuwe bestemming. Rond het kasteel ligt ook een mooie vijver met watervogels. Het omliggende park is een beschermd gebied. Op het domein vinden wij ook nog een echte boerderij terug.

This protected monument in Flemish neo-Renaissance style stands on the foundations of the 14th century. Around the castle is also a beautiful pond. The surrounding park is a protected area. On the domain there is a real farm.
