This video is Part 1 of our adventure through Slovenia! We wanted to show you the borderless crossing between Croatia and Slovenia now that Croatia's in the Schengen Area, and also show you some beautiful spots around our neighboring country.
A lot of times, when our guests visit Zagreb, they ask about taking a day to two to also visit Slovenia, so we thought we'd show you the highlights in the next few videos to come!

Vintgar Bled Full Tour Slovenia
Must-see place if visiting Slovenia! Full Tour in this Gorgeous gorge with a spectacular path which leads you 1.6 km along the river ends with beautiful Šum waterfall 23:12.
if you want to watch the video in a short time Youtube give you the option to increase the video speed - click on 3 dots top right and then choose “Playback Speed”
10€ for entrance per person and 5€ parking was absolutely fair for a place that is maintained this well. Being able to walk inside this canyon is absolutely amazing! Make sure to wear proper clothes especially shoes as the path is slippery, walking back to the parking place takes around 1h with the shortest path. There might be a long queue depending on the time of your arrival so I'd recommend to buy the entrance tickets online.
Vintgar is located Half hour drive from bled, you should drive all the way to the main parking lot right next to the gorge.

You can print or open the ticket on your phone and scan the QR code upon entry. When buying a ticket online, you must choose the time and day of the tour. Be sure to stick to your chosen date, as the number of tickets will be limited in time.
All other tickets are currently only available in the chalet at the entrance to the gorge.

Ljubljana, Slovenia: City of Dragons | What to See and Do in a Day
Ljubljana, Slovenia is known as the City of Dragons and these winged creatures are the symbol of Slovenia's charming capital city. Legend goes that the city was founded by Jason (of Jason and the Argonauts) when he killed a dragon near the source of the Ljubljanica River. The dragon is a symbol of pride as a protector of the city and you find dragons everywhere, from the coat of arms to the bridges to the souvenir postcards. In this video, we explore the historical city centre by both land and water, before making our way to a Slovenian art commune called Metelkova Art Center. You don't want to miss Ljubljana's castle, which sits high above the city, the Triple Bridge, the pink church, and, of course, the Dragon Bridge. KOTOR, MONTENEGRO (2023) | 10 Best Things To Do In & Around Kotor
Kotor is a medieval town located in a secluded corner of the stunning Bay of Kotor. In this video, we’ll show you 10 of the best things to do in and around this magical town.

10. Explore the old town
Wander the maze of narrow streets and simply enjoy the architecture. Built between the 12th and 14th centuries, this old town has a lot of character. From its decorated gates, to its orthodox and catholic churches, cozy squares, and Venetian palaces, every corner holds a story.

9. Walk the city walls
Covering about 4.5 kilometers or 3 miles, the thick walls were built to protect the town, which was an important naval and trading center. Today, the walls are crumbling in some sections and it isn’t possible to walk all the way around the Old Town. But there are still several parts that you can easily access, such as the Gurdić Bastion and the Kampana Tower.
8. Visit a museum
The old town of Kotor is home to a few interesting museums, such as the Cats Museum and the Maritime Museum.
7. Watch the sunset from the fortress
Above Kotor’s city walls, you can find old St. John’s fortress. You’ll have to walk 1,350 steps to get there. The best time to visit is in the early morning or an hour or two before sunset as it’s generally a bit cooler and the light is best for pictures. Find the trail entrance behind the Church of St. Mary Collegiate.
6. Cool down at Kotor beach
Kotor doesn’t have any long beaches, but small ones are scattered around the bay. The closest one is Kotor Beach, which can be found right outside the old town. Alternatively, head to Orahovac or Bajova Kula beach on the way to Perast.
5. Try Montenegrin wine
Kotor’s old town is filled with a variety of charming restaurants and bars where you can sample the local cuisine and wine. Some bars offer wine tastings where you can try indigenous Vranac wine, such as the Old Winery Wine Bar.
4. Explore nearby Perast
The Bay of Kotor is dotted with picturesque villages, but nearby Perast might be the most charming one.
3. Go on a boat tour in the bay
During a 3-hour tour you visit the church on the man-made island of Our Lady of the Rocks, pass through a cave where submarines used to be hidden, spot the old prison on Mamula Island, and swim in the magical Blue Cave.

2. Hike the Ladder of Kotor
The Ladder of Kotor is an old caravan trail that used to connect Kotor with the old capital of Montenegro. The switchback trail offers some breathtaking views of the Bay of Kotor.
1. Drive the serpentine road to Lovćen National Park
From Kotor, it’s a short 45 minute drive to Mt Lovćen National Park via a narrow serpentine road that takes you up to the mountains. Driving this road is a thrilling experience and you can stop at one of the many viewpoints.

Slovenia Highlights - My top things to do in and around the country.
Because Slovenia is such a small country, We decided to do one highlights video for everything.
My top things to do around Slovenia are:
- Check out Ljubljana Old Town.
- See the view from Ljubljana Castle.
- Take a day trip to Lake Bled, including a tour around Bled Castle.
- Take a train deep within the Postojna Caves.
- Combine that with a ticket to our favourite castle in Europe; Predjama Castle. Don't forget the caves under the castle too!

Štanjel (Italian: San Daniele del Carso) is a village in the Municipality of Komen in the Littoral region of Slovenia. It is located on the karst plateau overlooking the Vipava Valley. In the 17th century it was fortified to defend it against Ottoman raids. It was heavily damaged during World War II and it has been slowly rebuilt since. Because of its geographical location it has been an important settlement in the area since the Iron Age. The development of the settlement reached its peak in the Romanesque period, although Gothic elements in architecture have also been preserved. (Wikipedia)
Slovenian mountains and Italian lakes ???????? ???????? 《EP4》
In August / September 2021 I finally did my first 'grand tour' on my motorcycle. My plan was to reach a certain museum in Salzburg and then decide if I like this kind of solo traveling enough to continue or head back.
First I ride to the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, to try to watch a Formula 1 race race in a sports bar. Unfortunately that race didn't happen. The next day I'm heading to Italy and there I have some visor issues so I have it repaired. I continue my journey to Marostica. The last day of this episode I ride towards Mapello, and will pass Lake Garda on the way.
