Things to do in Courtenay, BC. TIPS from a LOCAL.

Hi friends! We loved Courtenay, BC and found some really great things to do there. It’s a definite must-stop on any Vancouver Island road trip. While moochdocking at a friend’s house, we got the insider’s scoop on what to do in Courtenay. We had a great time exploring the food scene (Mel was in donut heaven at Bigfoot Donuts!), checking out a beautiful sandy beach (a seal even came up to Jay!), and spending some time at Nymph Falls (this is a really cool spot to swim, watch salmon in the Fall, and admire cascading waterfalls). There is so much to see and do in this area that we didn’t get to do it all, but it gives us a very good reason to go back.

Well, after walking a bit around Kitimat, I think I have my bearings. Time to go for a drive.

We start things on Enterprise Avenue and head south to Haisla Boulevard. I believe this is where the big factory/aluminum plant is. We reach downtown at 19:35. After that, we cruise around houses, etc.

This is part 2 for those that are interested:

Hike North of Kitimat BC. Beautiful lakes and waterfalls. Best of what northern BC has to offer.

This was a 6 Km hike that we did. The hike starts off by bringing you right up the side of the mountain, nothing to hard though. After a quick climb the trail just meanders from hill to hill, lake to lake breathtaking to breathtaking view.
This is what is all about when you live in northern Canada. The Kitimat area is full of many different adventures. 4 seasons adventure.
