Chiba is the capital city of Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It sits about 40 kilometers southeast of the center of Tokyo on Tokyo Bay. Chiba City became a government-designated city in 1992.
Chiba is famous for the Chiba Urban Monorail, the longest suspended monorail in the world. Some popular destinations in the city include: Kasori Shell Midden, the largest shellmound in the world at 134,000 m2 (160,000 sq yd), Inage Beach, the first artificial beach in the nation which forms part of the longest artificial beach in Japan, and the Chiba City Zoological Park, popular on account of the standing red panda Futa.

Q: How long was the trip?
A: Around 18 days. But I would say it's doable in 2 weeks. If you want more time to explore then 3 weeks should be more than adequate.
Q: How many days do I need in each city?
A: I would say 3-5 days in Kyoto and Osaka. Nara 1-2 days. At least 4-6 days in Tokyo but the more the better.
Q: How much did it cost?
A: Excluding hotels + airplane tickets we had a budget of around 2000 USD
Q: Is there vegan restaurant options in Japan?
A: Yes, I found plenty, and most restaurants offer vegan-friendly meals
Q: Which month did you go?
A: We visited in July but I would recommend visiting in either the Autumn or Spring season

KISARAPIA / AMUSEMENT PARK IN JAPAN / KISARAZU CHIBA
Kisarapia Park KISARAPIA in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture is an amusement park for children. The symbol Ferris wheel is 60m high! On a clear day, you can see the beautiful view of Mt. Fuji beyond Tokyo Bay and the Aqua Line, and at night you can see the night view of Tokyo. It is fully air-conditioned and barrier-free, and is comfortable with tablet guidance. There is also a see-through type where you can see the scenery at your feet and a type where you can ride with your pet, and you can enjoy the scenery slowly with your favorite type of gondola.
In addition to the Ferris wheel, there are various attractions that can be used by young children, such as the Tomorrow Coaster, but it is also suitable for short-term play as you can enter the park for free and pay a fee for each attraction. The illuminations are beautiful at night, and it is adjacent to the large outlet mall Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu, so it is perfect for playing with children while shopping.

Previously, we traveled down Japan's east coast and this time, we'll be driving across Chiba and driving up the Tokyo bayside of Chiba.
