At a distance of 1.5 km from Kasauli Bus Stand, Sunset Point is a famous viewpoint in Kasauli which is located at the end of the Upper Mall road. This is a popular tourist location and known for its picturesque sunset view. This is one of the best places to visit in Kasauli.
Sunset point offers amazing views of the horizon and with the changing colors during the sundown. Reaching the place through oak and pine trees is also a memorable experience. Further ahead of the Sunset Point is the Gilbert hill which also offers splendid views.

Kasauli is a small hill station where Englishmen used to chill out in summer. Its a cantonment. Also it was home to Ruskin Bond , Khushwant Singh and is a much sought after tourist destination though its not famous all over India. As a hill station it serves scenic beauty quiet well.
Kasauli is famous for its many attractions like the Central Research Institute, Christ Church, Kasauli Brewery, and Sunset Point as well as various activities like trekking, shopping, and even paragliding.
The best time to visit the town is from April to June and then again from September to November. Kasauli enjoys a moderate climate almost throughout the year. Summers go on from March to June and temperature ranges from 14° C to 28° C. During summer, the days are warm and nights are cool.
