During the autumn months, Chūbu is absolutely stunning. The region’s plant life is known for the dramatic shifts in color as they switch from lush greens to bright yellows, vibrant oranges, deep reds and golden browns. On top of that, the weather is nearly perfect, what I call the “goldilocks months” when temperatures are not too cold nor too hot.

And while Japan is great to visit all year round, Team Boom and Sean find that the best time to go is definitely during the Autumn months (September, October, November) when the climate is perfect, not being too hot nor too cold.
We suggest taking advantage of the cooler climate to visit some of Japan's more rural areas and countryside. Central Japan has so much going on, and we rather enjoyed our trip, which we found was a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.
Visiting Central Japan in the spring and summer months is another adventure all its own.

岐阜県岐阜市にあるミシュランを獲得した日本料理店『たか田八祥』さんにランチで訪れました。しっかりした日本料理をベースに独自の創作性も見せる名店でした。数々の優秀なお弟子さん達を輩出しているのも頷けます。（前半には周辺の観光シーンもあります。）
I visited the Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant Takada Hassho for lunch in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. It's a great restaurant with a solid base of Japanese cuisine and unique creativity. It is no wonder that the restaurant has produced a number of excellent apprentices.

Walking around Ogaki station and castle・4K HDR
Last year some viewers asked me to visit Ogaki city near Nagoya. Finally I had a business in Nagoya so I visited Ogaki and walked around the main station and Ogaki castle.
Walked from the station to the south through a market street, visited local castle and museum. Found nice shrine with beautiful water channel.

名もなき池(岐阜県関市板取）観光スポット
岐阜県関市板取にある『名もなき池』（通称 モネの池）はとても透明度が高く優雅に泳ぐ錦鯉は浮いたように見える。また湧水に睡蓮が咲く頃はとても美しく観光客が沢山訪れています。
初夏の睡蓮の花が咲く時期がお勧め！

越波(おっぱ)集落の雪囲い【岐阜県の無人集落】Motosu City Neo Oppa, Gifu, Japan
撮影（岐阜県本巣市根尾越波）
根尾越波集落は岐阜の平野部から山地に入り、そこから林道を奥深くに入ったところにある。
周囲に他の集落や施設は無く完全に孤立していて、情報では数年前に無人になったと聞いていました。
村にはかなりの人が居たが、住んでいるのではなく冬に備えて住宅の雪囲いをしているようでした。
小学校跡は宿泊施設だったが、コロナで閉鎖しているようでした
途中の林道では狐が歩いていたり、子連れの猿の群れが道を渡る姿が見えた
