Matatila Dam is located in district Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, that was built in 1958 on the Betwa River. It is located at the border of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. This earthen dam is 35 m high. The catchment area is around 20 km² with a maximum storage capacity of 1132 million cubic metres. The dam is popular among tourists. Close to this dam there is a very beautiful park located.

Narwar fort is located about 40 km away from Shivpuri, the city of historical monuments. The fort lies at a height of 500 ft above ground level and spread over in a very large area. It is full of many scenic spots including Tal Katora, Chandankhet Palace, Kachahari Palace and many more. The fort also has several magnificent temples including Pasar Devi Mata Mandir. It was part of the administration of Maratha-Scindia rulers in the 18th-19th century.

ऐतिहासिक स्मारकों की नगरी शिवपुरी से करीब 40 किलोमीटर दूर मौजूद है नरवर का विशाल किला। भूतल से 500 फीट ऊंची पहाड़ी पर बना यह किला बहुत बड़े क्षेत्र में फैला हुआ है। नरवर किला कई दर्शनीय स्थलों से भरा है, जिनमें ताल कटोरा, चंदनखेत महल, कचहरी महल शामिल हैं। किले में एक ही जगह पर कई कूएं और बावड़ियां हैं। साथ ही यहां कई मंदिर भी मौजूद हैं, जिनमें पसर देवी का प्रसिद्ध मंदिर भी शामिल है। यह किला 18-19वीं शताब्दी में मराठा-सिंधिया शासकों के शासन का हिस्सा भी था।

Burundi is a landlocked country located in the Great Rift Valley where the African Great Lakes region and East Africa converge. Burundi may be one of the smallest countries in mainland Africa but it is packed with stunning natural locations which are worth every tourist’s time. The country is divided into 16 provinces which cover an area of just over 28,000km2 with so much cultural diversity than most countries in Africa including colonial influences from colonial settlers as well as the aboriginal cultures which are very fascinating.

1. Bujumbura
Starting off the list of 10 best places to visit in Burundi is one of its French- influenced cities, Bujumbura.Bujumbura is known for the history of French and Colonial settlements that this city holds. This city has a greater impact of the French culture and you are sure to find the best of French cuisines here.This relatively small city has not seen much development over the past decades mainly due to years of conflict in the region. The city, commonly known as Buji, has retained other characteristics from its period as a French colony such as excellent food, drink and nightlife. French cuisine can be found at various restaurants in the city, occupying a wide range of prices and quality. Sights in the city include the university which is the only one in Burundi and the Independence Monument which remembers hard times of occupation by French, Belgian and German rulers. The Living Museum is also located in Bujumbura and is arguably one of the best museums of its kind in Africa with both ancient and modern crafts in display.
2. Rusizi River National Park
When you want to see a mélange of big water mammals and a beautiful water body that serves as habitat for them, then, Rusizi River National Park is the place to stop by. Located just outside of Bujumbura is the fascinating Rusizi River National Park. Due to the periodic flooding that usually happen around the plains surrounding the river, hundreds of animals tend to flock to this area. Hippos are one of the tourist favourites in this area but there are several more species here to keep you entertained including colourful birds.With the clear skies here, the parkis a true bird-watchers paradise with migratory birds frequenting the parking including rare and beautiful species from both Asia and Europe such as sand pipers and plovers.
3. Ruvubu National Park
If you will love to visit a park in Ruvubu, why not visit the biggest there is to offer. The Ruvubu National Park with an area of over 500km2 is therefore not only the best fit for its size but also because of the rare and special species of plants and animals found here. The park, which was founded in 1980, is home to some of the most majestic and impressive wildlife in the country including beasts such as hippos, buffalo, tigers, elephants and crocodiles. That’s not all, the park is also known for its variety of rare plants and flowers as well as the birdlife that migrates to the region throughout the year. Preservation of the park is one of the country’s top concerns, so much so that humans have been evacuated from the area.

Grasslands of Karera Wildlife Sanctuary, with blackbuck
Grasslands of the now sadly denotified Karera Wildlife Sanctuary - paradise for the threatened Blackbuck antelope of India.
The blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra) is an antelope species native to the Indian Subcontinent that has been classified as near threatened by IUCN since 2003, as the blackbuck range has decreased sharply during the 20th century. The blackbuck is the only living species of the genus Antilope. Its generic name stems from the Latin word antalopus, a horned animal. The species cervicapra is composed of the Latin words capra, she-goat and cervus, deer. Males and females have distinctive coloration. Male blackbucks are dark brown, black, and white and have long, twisted horns, while females are fawn-coloured with no horns.
Blackbucks originally ranged over large tracts of India except in the northeast. Today, the blackbuck population is confined to areas in Maharashtra, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, with a few small pockets in central India. Blackbucks generally live on open plains in herds of 15 to 20 animals with one dominant male. They are very fast. Speeds of more than 80 km/h (50 mph) have been recorded. Their chief predator was the now extinct Indian cheetah. They are now sometimes preyed upon by wolves and feral dogs. The diet of the blackbuck consists mostly of grasses, although it will eat pods, flowers and fruits to supplement its diet. The maximum life span recorded is 16 years and the average is 12 years.
The main threats to the species are poaching, predation, habitat destruction, overgrazing, diseases, and inbreeding and sanctuary visitors. . During the 18th, 19th and the first half of the 20th centuries, blackbuck was the most hunted wild animal all over India. Today, only small herds are seen, largely inside reserves. The chief cause of their decline is excessive hunting for its flesh and its skin. Like most wild animals, the blackbuck is in principle protected in India by the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. The blackbuck population is stable, with 50,000 native individuals, plus an additional 43,000 descended from individuals introduced to Texas and Argentina. The species can be seen in zoos.
The Karera Wildlife Sanctuary of Madhya Pradesh, India is well scattered over an area that measures about 202 square kilometers with respect to the vast span of landscape it covers. The Wildlife Sanctuary is situated at a distance of approximately 55 kilometers from the region named as Shivpuri. It is indeed a bird-viewer's paradise as the sanctuary houses an entire caboodle of avian creatures that includes the extremely rare Indian Bustard which is facing the grave danger of being completely wiped out from the face of our planet. Karera is one of the last refuges of the great Indian bustard. As per expert studies, one can find three types of bustards thrive here, the Indian bustard, bearded bustard, and coloured bustard. The status of the Karera is that of the Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary and it was notified in 1981 as a sanctuary. The vegetation is reverie and swamp with mixed deciduous forests. Ber bushes and other wild plants are found in abundance. There are no trees except acacia throughout this forest.
The region around Karera is quite dry and rocky but one can feel more relaxed at the Dihaila Jheel. Entirely rainfed, the size and depth of the lake depend on the monsoons. Across the waters lay Dihila village whose inhabitants own and use the land forming the lakebed and whose crops have benefited from the gauano deposite of the birds. There are many migratory birds that settle here in the season. In fact, experts have recorded a total of 245 bird species in Karera. There are pintails, teals, and gadwalls snoozing in the sun or squatting meditatively in the mud. There are resident water birds too like the black-bellied river terns, egrets, and spoonbills. Other birds found here are herons, Indian robins, as also insects like dragonflies, damselflies, and butterflies.
