Shizuoka prefecture in Japan is a perfect place for a day trip! So much to do and places to visit in Shizuoka, but in this vlog, we show Asagiri Food Park, Makaino Farm, and Gotemba Premium Outlets.
We didn't plan or didn't even know about Asagiri Food Park, but it's such an amazing find. The whole Asagiri area is very beautiful and full of lush trees. You can fly your drone in some areas and they have a parachute landing area too!
Makaino Farm is such a fun place! Not only is it family friendly, it's also great for solo or couples. Many people bring their dogs too, with a 300yen (~$3) admission for your furbaby of course. There is a horse riding for kids, tractor tours, barn, feeding stations, archery, ATV rentals, and so much more! 2 hours really isn't enough.
Gotemba Premium Outlets is pretty far from the two places about but it's still in Shizuoka. We chose to stop here because it was on the way home and we wanted to check it out. There's so many stores in this outlet and on a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji! This place is serious heaven for shoppers!
Looking forward to going back to Shizuoka and exploring a different area next time! So much to do, so little time :)

The areas around the city are most famous for Japanese Green Tea fields and much of Shizuoka's green tea supply (40% of Japan's total production) comes from this area.
Explore the Makinohara Plains which stretch for more the 20kms from Kanaya Train Station to the Pacific Ocean coast with line upon line of green tea stretched as far as the eye can see.
Or hit the coast and experience a laid-back surf culture that produces some of the freshest seafood in Japan.

It was a rainy day yet we do not mind if it is rain or shine what we think about is to come and see for ourselves the rarest birds from different countries found in Kakegawa. This place is called Kakegawa Kachouen also known as Kakegawa Bird Park.
From our place Toyodachou STation To Kakegawa Station by train the ticket fare will be around 330 yen traveling for less than 30 minutes and around 13 mins walk from Kakegawa Station with the help of google map gives us the full access of the tourist spot.
The entrance fee for adults is 1300 yen and varies for children and for persons with disabilities. The first thing you will see when you go inside are the different kinds of Owls. In the same spot in the right corner you can have some souvenirs for you.
Straight to the hall way on the left side you can see Penguins and on the right side you can see Mandarin Ducks rarest from Singapore. As you are proceeding to the main hall a flower hanging around of different colors will bring the place to life. You can also take sets of photographs as it is being placed there. You can also enjoy the delicious food in their food court.
You can also see a Penguin Show. You can also buy printed T shirts in the corner printed with the Bird. In the North Side of the area you can also feed the birds buying food in the area for 100yen and take note you cannot feed the bird from the food you brought outside.
You can also see a set of rarest waterlilies and a child can be on top of the waterlily and have a photograph. On the right side you can also have a foot spa or what is it called the fishes will give you a foot massage.

Amazing Japanese Bird Park in Kakegawa | Japan Vlog 24 | Lin Nyunt
We visited the bird park in Kakegawa, probably the only major attraction other than the castle there. We opted for the bird park because we'd seen many castles already in Japan. It was a pleasant surprise.

掛川城天守閣 | Kakegawa Castle | Castelo de Kakegawa ????????✶
O ponto alto da cidade de Kakegawa é o seu castelo. Foi construído no ano de 1470 por Asahina Yasuhiro. Durante a Restauração Meiji (1868-1912), muitos dos castelos japoneses foram demolidos apressadamente para se modernizar, um dos motivos foram os diversos danos causados pelo terremoto Ansei-Tōkai de 1854; entretanto, a Restauração Meiji foi celebrada sem ser feita a reconstrução do castelo de Kakegawa, sendo abandonado no 2º ano da era Meiji. Depois disso, o entusiasmo e os esforços dos cidadãos de Kakegawa se uniram e a torre do castelo foi felizmente inaugurada em 1994 pela primeira vez em 140 anos.
Na reconstrução utilizarão materiais tradicionais (como a madeira), ao invés do ferro-concreto que tantas outras reconstruções usaram. Atualmente, o castelo também exibe apetrechos militares e documentos históricos. E ainda, o palácio de um andar também foi restaurado e fornece impressões sobre um dia na vida de um castelo durante o período Edo (1603-1867).
Kakegawa é uma cidade histórica que mantém muito de seu charme.
É um ótimo ponto de parada entre Tóquio e Nagoya.????????????

A very short clip of Kakegawa Castle in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. The castle was originally built between 1469 and 1487 though later destroyed by earthquake in the 1800s. It was only recently rebuilt in 1994 and is now listed #42 on the Japan Castle Foundation's list of 100 Fine Castles of Japan. It is open to the public, but unfortunately I wasn't able to visit it because I was running the Kakegawa Marathon!
