Rope Breaks bungee jumping accident | sports | adventure sports - shockwave
In a bungee jumping accident an Australian woman Erin has survived with only minor injuries after her rope broke during an adventure sports, 111-meter bungee jump over crocodile-infested waters on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Her feet were still bound together as she hit the water and the impact broke her collarbone. Erin blacked out briefly in the water and, when she came to, she had to navigate a system of rapids before finding her way to dry land.

We wanted to visit the world famous Mount SINAI SUMMIT in South Sinai EGYPT during our visit to Dahab! With Mount Sinai meaning so much to so many people, we wanted to visit St. Catherine, 2 hours outside of Dahab, Egypt and reach the top of Mount Sinai for a BREATHTAKING SUNSET.
The South Sinai of Egypt has so much to see and experience. Hiking Mt. Sinai in Egypt was extremely difficult, but thanks to our guide Ahmed, it was one of our most memorable days and we highly recommend it if you are thinking about what to do in Egypt.
Unfortunately the St. Catherine Monastery was closed when we visited, but it did not take away from the ultimate satisfaction of climbing Mount Sinai and reaching its summit for an incredible sunset we will never forget.
The day was filled with so many surprises, including meeting some incredible friendly people at the Mt. Sinai Summit. We hope you enjoy it and when you’re planning where to go in Egypt, you add Mount Sinai and St. Catherine to your list as it definitely is one of the top places to visit in Egypt in our opinion!

Today I am really excited to show you all an amazing place and it is Jebel Jais, RAK.
Touring in UAE i.e. United Arab Emirates can become one of the most memorable visits for you as a tourist. The views are breathtaking, unique sceneries are there, plus the availability of different activities will ensure that you enjoy each moment of your visit. One such traveling point in the United Arab Emirates is known as Jebel Jais.
The UAE’s highest peak, Jebel Jais is part of the spectacular Hajar mountains that were formed over 70 million years ago in the eastern part of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates and Oman. Towering at 1,934 m above sea level, Jebel Jais boasts breath-taking vistas, thrilling adventures, and a welcome respite from the heat with temperatures around ten degrees cooler than sea level.
Infrastructure
On the Omani side, the mountain is largely undeveloped, inaccessible, and far from any development, however on the United Arab Emirates side there has been a lot of development in recent years. A 20 km road has been built, which hairpins most of the way up the mountain on the United Arab Emirates side. Near the top of the road, there are parking places, food providers, toilets and a viewing platform. After a security checkpoint, the road continues up a few kilometers further to the world's longest zip-line and an Etisalat cell tower, as well as a large flat area used for outdoor shows and parking. New buildings are also being built along this road section, for use of the zip-line operating company. This section was completed towards the end of 2017; however it remains closed to the public, by motorized vehicles, as of December 2019. A private brick road then continues further up, to Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi's palace, which is situated near the UAE's highest point. The summit is then accessible by hiking, a short distance after the palace perimeter fence.

Ras Al Khaimah’s Jebel Jais, at 1,934 metres tall, usually records temperatures that are 10°C cooler on average than other popular landmarks across the country.
During summer months, temperatures at all the major landmarks across the emirates average between 43 – 45°C while at the Jebel Jais summit temperatures reach a moderate 31°C during the day time and 29 °C during the late afternoon.
While visitors and residents look to escape the heat with indoor activities across other areas of the UAE, Jebel Jais offers the opportunity for travellers and residents looking for outdoor adventures and diverse scenery at significantly cooler temperatures than at sea level, and incredible views of the stunning Ras Al Khaimah landscape.

In this video I hike to the top of Mount Sinai (Egypt) the place where Moses was given the 10 Commandments. This mountain is in the middle of the Sinai Peninsula, a dangerous territory heavily hit by ISIS and not fully under control of the Egyptian State. After a Russian passenger plane was brought down by a bomb in 2015, many countries forbid their airlines to fly over the peninsula. Only in 2017 around 300 people died in terrorists attacks.
I decided to get a driver that would take me from Dahab to the Monastery of Saint Catherine at the base of Mount Sinai: a 2-hour drive across the dessert in the middle of the night. I have not been so scared in a long time! The driver was a local with lots of experience but was driving over 120km/h on a pothole-patched road in the dark. I feared I would never reach the base of the mountain. Fortunately, my fears were unfounded, and I started to walk around 1:00 am, reaching the top just before sunrise.
The biggest challenge (other than not being able to sleep in the whole night) is that I had twisted my left ankle a few days ago in Israel and every step was a nightmare (specially on the descend). It was a hard hike for many reasons, but worth every effort.

Muscat is the capital and largest city of Oman. As an important port-town in the Gulf of Oman. The rocky Western Al Hajar Mountains dominate the landscape of Muscat. The city lies on the Arabian Sea along the Gulf of Oman and is in the proximity of the strategic Straits of Hormuz.
