In data de 10 martie 2022 am fost prezent in vama Isaccea si am vazut cu ochii mei organizarea exeplara a autorităților, dar si marinimia si generozitatea romanilor.
On the 10th of march i have been at Isaccea, where, in the last days of the Russian - Ucrainian war, many refugees have come, to run from the devastating bombing of their homes. Here at Isaccea, the romanian authorities did everything in their power, along with the volunteers, to help the ucrainians with all their problems: food, blankets, transport, aid care, and so own.

Grand Mosque of Constanța
The Grand Mosque of Constanța (Romanian: Marea Moschee din Constanța), originally known as the Carol I Mosque (Romanian: Moscheea Carol I), is a mosque in Constanța, Romania. It is listed as an historic monument by the Romanian National Institute of Historical Monuments.
The mosque is referred to by Constanța's Islamic community as the King's Mosque (Romanian: Geamia Regelui, Turkish: Kral camisi).
History
The Grand Mosque of Constanța was commissioned in 1910 by Romanian King Carol I. Construction began on 24 June 1910 with the first cornerstone laid in the presence of Spiru Haret, contemporary Romanian Minister of Religious Affairs; Sefa Bey, contemporary Ottoman ambassador in Bucharest; and the Ottoman consul in Constanța.[2] The project was funded by the Romanian Government and entrepreneur Ion Neculcea, and finished construction in 1912.
The Grand Mosque of Constanța stands on the site of the former Mahmudia Mosque (Geamia Mahmudia), built in 1822 by Hafız Hüsseyin Pasha and named after Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II. The mosque was officially inaugurated by Carol I on 31 May 1913.[4] During the ceremony, Sultan Mehmed V bestowed the Order of the Medjidie upon chief architect Victor Ștefănescu. King Carol I also rewarded Ștefănescu with a watch.
Architecture
The mosque was built in Neo-Egyptian and Neo-Byzantine styles with elements of Neo-Romanesque architecture. Its designer, George Constantinescu, modeled the mosque after the Konya Mosque in Anatolia (Turkey).[2] Victor Ștefănescu served as the chief architect for the project. Contractors used brick and stone materials for the mosque proper, and reinforced concrete for the dome and minaret. The mosque was the first structure in Romania to be built using reinforced concrete.[2][4] The main portal was constructed using stone from Dobrogea, while the door beneath was constructed from black marble inlaid with bronze. The interior columns were constructed from marble from Câmpulung.
The minaret was built in Neo-Moorish style and has a height of 47 metres. The dome has a height of 25 metres and a diameter of 8 metres.

Brașov (UK: /bræˈʃɒv/, US: /brɑːˈʃɔːv, -ɔːf/,[4][5][6] Romanian: [braˈʃov] (About this soundlisten); Latin: Corona; German: Kronstadt; Transylvanian Saxon: Kruhnen; Hungarian: Brassó) is a city in Transylvania, Romania and the administrative centre of Brașov County.
According to the latest Romanian census (2011), Brașov has a population of 253,200 making it the 7th most populous city in Romania. The metropolitan area is home to 382,896 residents.[7]
Brașov is located in the central part of the country, about 166 km (103 mi) north of Bucharest and 380 km (236 mi) from the Black Sea. It is surrounded by the Southern Carpathians and is part of the historical region of Transylvania.
The city is notable for being the regional capital of the Transylvanian Saxons of the Burzenland (Romanian: Țara Bârsei) administrative area in the past, and a large commercial hub on the trade roads between East and West. It is also the birthplace of the national anthem of Romania.
Corona, Kronstadt
According to Balázs Orbán, the name Corona – a Latin word meaning crown – is first mentioned in the Catalogus Ninivensis in 1235 AD, stating a monastic quarter existed in the territory of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cumania (In Hungaria assignata est paternitas Dyocesis Cumanie: Corona).[8] Pál Binder supposed it is a reference to the St. Catherine's Monastery. Others suggest the name derives from the old coat of arms of the city, as it is symbolized by the German name Kronstadt meaning Crown City. The two names of the city, Kronstadt and Corona, were used simultaneously in the Middle Ages, along with the Medieval Latin Brassovia.
Brassovia, Brassó, Brașov, etc.
According to Dragoș Moldovanu, the name of Brașov came from the name of local river named Bârsa (also pronounced as Bărsa) that was adopted by Slavs and transformed to Barsa, and later to Barsov, finally to Brasov.[9] According to Pál Binder, the current Romanian and the Hungarian name Brassó ([ˈbrɒʃʃoː]) are derived from the Turkic word barasu, meaning white water with a Slavic suffix -ov.[10] Other linguists proposed various etymologies including an Old Slavic anthroponym Brasa.[11][12] The first attested mention of this name is Terra Saxonum de Barasu (Saxon Land of Baras) in a 1252 document issued by Béla IV of Hungary.[8] According to some historians, Corona was name of the city-fortress while Brassó was referring to the county, while others consider both names may refer to the city and the county as well.[citation needed]

Another historical name used for Brașov is Stephanopolis,[13] 'from Stephanos, crown, and polis, city.
From 1950 to 1960, during part of the Communist period in Romania, the city was called Orașul Stalin (Stalin City), lit. Stalin City, after the Soviet leader Joseph Stalin,[14] and was the capital of Stalin Region. The name change occurred on 22 August 1950, when Constantin Ion Parhon, the nominal Head of State at the time, issued a decree whereby Brașov was renamed in honor of the great genius of working humanity, the leader of the Soviet people, the liberator and beloved friend of our people, Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin.
Tulcea, Romania, the gateway to Danube Delta

[4K] Drumuri Tulcene. Traseul Smardan - Măcin - Cerna - Horia - Nalbant - Cataloi.
De data aceasta va propunem o excursie de intrare în județul Tulcea dinspre Vest, mai exact din Brăila.
Deocamdata, la Brăila, trecerea Dunării se face încă cu bacul. Acest lucru va mai dura pana în vara lui 2023 când se va deschide podul de la Brăila - Smardan, cea mai mare investiție post revoluție din România, al treilea cel mai mare pod suspendat din Europa.
Traversarea cu bacul durează 10 minute și costa 37 de lei.
Bacul debarca în localitatea Smardan de unde urmam un drum foarte pitoresc, pe marginea unui brat al Dunării către Măcin. Desi este îngust, drumul este Inconjurat de verdeața și nu este atât de circulat. După deschiderea podului cu siguranță va fi pustiu.
Localitatea Măcin este cel mai mare oraș din aceasta parte a județului și este situat la poalele munților cu același nume, cei mai vechi munți din România.
Din Macin mergem înainte spre direcția Cerna. Un alt traseu către Tulcea face stânga și urmărește Munții Macinului dar și malul Dunării, la Nord, prin localitățile Jijila, Isaccea, Niculițel, Somova, un alt drum foarte pitoresc, pe care îl recomandam.
Pastrand permanent pe partea stânga Muntii Macinului sau dealurile Cernei, lăsăm pe stânga drumul care merge către localitatea Greci, vechi loc de exploatare a pietrei și actualul loc de informare cu privire la Parcul Național Munții Macinului.
Mai departe, pe partea dreapta, spre Turcoaia, putem ajunge la celebrul lac de smarald din cariera Turcoaia, un loc insolit, unde se poate petrece și noaptea și se poate lua și masa, pe malul unui lac antropic, sălbatic și apropiat ca priveliște de cunoscutele lacuri glaciare din munți.
Localitatea Cerna, locul de naștere al cunoscutului scriitor Panait Cerna este și locul în care putem sa urmam la dreapta drumul către Traian, Dorobanțu, Topolog, un drum care oferă o perspectiva unica asupra Munților Macinului dar și a platoului central tulcean.
Mai departe, la Horia avem o intersecție foarte importanta, către doua drumuri extrem de frumoase, unul care merge către Ciucurova spre sud iar celălalt, spre Nord, către Nifon, Luncavita, drumuri prin păduri spectaculoase, potrivite mersului cu bicicleta sau motocicleta.
Inainte putin de localitatea Izvoarele se desprinde spre nord un alt drum recomandat, către Niculițel, un drum printr-o pădure de tei spectaculoasa.
Încheiem plimbarea noastră cu localitățile Nalbant și Cataloi aflate pe un drum mult mai circulat, cel care face legătura între Tulcea și Hârșova.
Drumuri bune sa aveți.
