In this episode of Best of Naju, I explore the skate fish streets of Yeongsan-po, Naju, and learn some of the neighborhood's history.

Yeongsan-po (영산포) was one of three major ports of southwestern Korea in the 1910s, together with Mokpo and Gunsan because of the Yeongsan River (영산강).

Today this town is best known for fermented skate fish restaurants, the skate fish festival, yellow rapeseed flowers, local markets, and the Yeongsan River bike trails. It is located in Naju county, about 20 minutes from Bitgaram Naju Innocity and 40 minutes south of Gwangju city in Jeollanam-do province.

Iksan (Korean: 익산; Korean pronunciation: [ik.s͈an]) is a city and major railway junction in North Jeolla Province, South Korea. The railway junction is located at the point where Jeolla, Janghang and Gunsan Lines meet the Honam Line. It now services KTX and Saemaul trains as well as frequent bus lines.
Jeonbuk National University Iksan campus (before, it was Iksan National College), the Won Buddhism Graduate School, Wonkwang Health Science College, and Wonkwang University are all located in Iksan. This city is called “The City of Jewelry. The Iksan Jewelry Museum opened in May 2002 next to a Dinosaur museum. -

Iksan Travel Vlog: 2022 Iksan World Heritage Media Art Festa + more

I was recently invited to check out the opening ceremony of the 2022 Iksan World Heritage Media Art Festa. I met up with Hugh from @MyKoreanHusband and Lea from @jeollago and saw a variety of events including a show with over 300 drones, and amazing light show, and an unbelievable Tae Kwon Do show.

But before that, I took a little trip around the city using the Iksan City Bus Tour.
My first stop was at a place called Goseurak - which features over 4000 traditional Korean earthenware pots. It was also a filming location for the Lee Minho drama called 'The King: Eternal Monarch'.

Next I went to Iksan Prison Set. This place was originally built as a setting for the 2005 movie 'The Holiday'. Since then, it's been featured in hundreds of K-dramas, variety shows, movies and music videos.

Next I checked out a Korean national treasure at Wanggung-ri Ruins.

I ended the evening at Mireuksaji to enjoy the opening ceremony of the 2022 Iksan World Heritage Media Art Festa. The festival runs until October 3. For more information, visit:

Chúng mình xin được giới thiệu với các bạn về chuyến đi Iksan trong 2 ngày 1 đêm của bọn mình nhé.

[Ngày 1]
Đến thành phố Iksan bằng tàu hỏa từ ga Yongsan (tại thành phố Seoul)
Thuê xe hơi Socar tại Ga Iksan

1. Phim trường Nhà tù Iksan
Bạn có thể chụp những bức ảnh đặc biệt để đời khi ghé thăm nhà tù - nơi đã quay nhiều cảnh nhà tù trong các bộ phim truyền hình và điện ảnh Hàn Quốc.

2. Goseulag
Goseulag là nơi sản xuất nước tương truyền thống Hàn Quốc, tại đây bạn có thể nhìn thấy khung cảnh độc đáo được tạo nên bởi những chiếc chum (vại) lớn nhỏ đa dạng, cũng như thưởng thức những món ăn được làm từ tương truyền thống được sản xuất nơi đây.

3. Chùa đá Mireuksa
Chùa đá Mireuksa là ngôi chùa đá lớn nhất hiện có ở Hàn Quốc. Và bạn cũng có thể cảm nhận được dòng chảy lịch sử của thời Bách Tế khi ghé thăm Bảo tàng Quốc gia.

4. Khu Di tích Wanggung-ri
Bạn có thể chiêm ngưỡng những dấu tích của cung điện hoàng gia từ thời Bách Tế.

5. Viện bảo tàng Đá quý + Công viên giải trí Khủng long
Viện bảo tàng Đá quý và Công viên giải trí khủng long nằm cạnh nhau.

6. Trải nghiệm nhà Hanok
Có một ngôi làng Hanok tuyệt đẹp nằm ở Geumma-myeon thành phố Iksan.
Chúng mình đã chọn trải nghiệm nhà truyền thống Hàn quốc tại Yunstay Hanok.
Đây cũng là nơi mà bọn mình yêu thích nhất trong chuyến du lịch lần này.

[Ngày 2]
7. Đi bộ quanh Geumma-myeon
Chúng mình đã đi dạo quanh khắp những khu phố ở Geumma-myeon để tham quan những ngôi nhà Hanok xinh đẹp nằm hài hòa cạnh nhau.

8. Công viên Seodong
Trong Công viên Seodong rộng lớn có rất nhiều những bức tượng điêu khắc và bạn có thể bắt gặp những bức tượng kể về câu chuyện của Hoàng tử Seodong và Công chúa Pyeonggang. Bạn cũng có thể đi dạo bên con đường bờ hồ Geumma.
Ngoài ra những địa điểm kể trên, chúng mình đã đến nhiều nơi khác nhưng chúng mình đã chọn những nơi thú vị nhất để giới thiệu với các bạn. Mong rằng những chia sẻ này sẽ giúp ích cho những bạn đang có kế hoạch đi du lịch đến Iksan.

3. 미륵사지 석탑
미륵사지 석탑은 우리나라 현존 가장 큰 석탑입니다. 백제의 역사를 느낄 수 있는 국립 박물관도 함께 관람할 수 있어요.

4. 왕궁리 유적
백제 시대의 왕궁터를 볼 수 있습니다.

5. 보석 박물관 + 공룡테마파크
보석 박물관과 공룡테마파크가 붙어 있어요.

6. 한옥 스테이
익산 금마면에는 아름다운 한옥 마을이 있습니다.
저희는 윤스테이 한옥 민박을 이용했습니다.
이번 여행 중 가장 마음에 들었던 곳도 바로 이 한옥스테이였어요.

[2일차]
7. 금마면 산책
금마면의 아기자기한 한옥들을 둘러보면서 산책을 했어요.

8. 서동공원
넓은 서동공원은 여러 조각상도 있고 서동과 평강공주의 이야기도 만날 수 있습니다. 금마 호수 산책로에서 산책도 할 수 있어요.

그 밖에도 여기저기 잘 다녔는데 추천하고 싶은 코스만 적어봅니다.

Dans cette vidéo nous allons parler du temple Mireuksa à Iksan.
Mireuksa était le plus grand temple bouddhiste de Baekje, un état qui s'était développé dans le sud-ouest de la péninsule coréenne. Il a été fondé au début du VIIe siècle, en 602, à l'initiative du roi Mu, peu avant la chute du royaume, et est classé dans la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO depuis 2015 dans le groupe des aires historiques de Baekje. Abandonné vers 1600, seules deux pagodes sont actuellement encore visibles, dont l'une est une reconstitution, ainsi que deux mâts de drapeau en pierre.

Iksan (Korean: 익산; Korean pronunciation: [ik.s͈an]) is a city and major railway junction in North Jeolla Province, (commonly transliterated as Jeollabuk-do or Chollabuk-do) South Korea.

The city center and railway junction was formerly called Iri (Korean: 이리시; Hanja: 裡里市; RR: Iri-si), but merged with Iksan County (Iksan-gun) in 1995.

The railway junction is located at the point where Jeolla, Janghang and Gunsan Lines meet the Honam Line and is served by frequent train service to/from Seoul, Daejeon, Gwangju, Mokpo, Jeonju, Suncheon, and Yeosu.

Jeonbuk National University Iksan campus (before, it was Iksan National College), the Won Buddhism Graduate School, Wonkwang Health Science College, and Wonkwang University are all located in Iksan.

In late November 2006, Korean authorities quarantined a farm in Iksan and began culling poultry and livestock within a 3-kilometer radius to contain an outbreak of the H5N1 bird flu virus.[2]

Local tradition includes the story of Seodong and Seonhwa, which was broadcast in 2005~2006 as Sedongyo and is also dramatized in the 'Paradise in Autumn Festival.'

Festivals with various themes are held in Iksan, all reflecting local history and culture. These include:
