Located on Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima (formerly Rua Iguatemi), in Jardim Paulistano, district of Pinheiros, in the region known as Jardins, it was opened in November 1966, seeking inspiration in a new concept of commerce that was starting in the world. The São Paulo Iguatemi is considered, by its official website, by some press agencies, and by the Brazilian Association of Shopping Centers as being the first shopping center in Brazil, although there is some controversy regarding Shopping do Méier, located in Rio de Janeiro.
Iguatemi has the largest number of national and international brands and is marked by the sophistication of its interior.[citation needed] It has six cinemas, two bank branches and 330 stores, four of which are anchors (Pão de Açúcar Especial, C&A, Lojas Americanas and Zara).

The setup on the beach site it not only beautiful but very comfortable. The hotel respects the visitors and is ready to provide best services and even free upgrades on requests depending upon availability.
History of Fortaleza Brazil
Fortaleza is derived from the name of the fort called Fortaleza da Nossa Senhora de Assuncao. Fortaleza has a long history of wars and take overs between Dutch and Portuguese. The land was discovered in 1500 though the discovery couldn’t be officially sanctioned at that time. The colonization started after the construction of Fort of Sao Tiago in 1603. Dutch invaded the Brazilian North-east in 1630 and took over the Fort Sao Tiago by 1637.
There were a lot of battles between Dutch, Portuguese and Natives and the original fort was destroyed in 1644. Which was re-built by the Dutch West Indies company in 1649 and later on handed it over to the Portuguese in 1654. Initially a village was founded around the fort in 1726 which gradually grew and became the capital of Ceara state of Brazil in 1799.

The beautiful and amazing sidewalk of the beachside in Fortaleza is known as Biera-mar. This is one of the must-see places of the city, in-fact one of the first things to do in Fortaleza. There are lots of handcrafts, ice cream stalls, restaurants and street food vendors.
Jose the Alencar Theater
This is one of the stunning examples of great architectures in Brazil. This theater is very impressive and named after a very famous Brazilian writer. Jose the Alencar Theater is a fine example of Art nouveau. Built in 1910, the theater is a portrayal of national history and rich art. The colorful walls are amazingly eye-catching. The theater has the capacity of 800 people and most of the shows are in Portuguese language.
Metropolitan Cathedral
The Metropolitan Cathedral is a Neo Gothic-Roman styled structure built in 1978. It took more than 40 years to complete the construction of this splendid artistic structure. This is the third largest cathedral in Brazil. There is a capacity of more than 5000 people inside the church.

The city is located on a plateau of the Brazilian Highlands extending inland from the Serra do Mar, which rises as part of the Great Escarpment only a short distance inland from the Atlantic Ocean.
The city itself sits in a shallow basin with low mountains to the west. It lies about 220 miles (350 km) southwest of Rio de Janeiro and about 30 miles (50 km) inland from its Atlantic Ocean port of Santos.
The city’s name derives from its having been founded by Jesuit missionaries on January 25, 1554
With one of the world’s fastest-growing metropolitan populations, São Paulo is also the largest city of the Southern Hemisphere and one of the largest conurbations in the world.
It is a dynamic late bloomer, having been heavily overshadowed by Rio de Janeiro not only during the colonial era but also throughout the 19th century. Only when coffee became Brazil’s vital export crop in the last decades of the 19th century did São Paulo become a major centre of economic activity with concomitant population growth.
Migration, both from Europe and internal, led to great expansion and diversification. When São Paulo served as the main focus of Brazil’s industrialization in the early decades of the 20th century, it rapidly closed the gap with Rio de Janeiro, which shortly before the turn of the century had been 10 times as large.

Filming inside Condomínio Shopping Center Iguatemi in Sao Paulo. Christmas season has started and you will find Christmas trees everywhere. I discovered a nice place inside the shopping mall where kids can enjoy doing some handcrafting while their parents are on a shopping tour. The food court was so full that I decided not to have my lunch there and to postpone it to the evening.
The video is a little bit shaky due to movement activities.
