Uncover Yamaguchi Prefecture | Japan Travel

Hello everyone,
In this video, I head as far south as I can go in mainland Japan to Yamaguchi prefecture. Yamaguchi is mostly a rural prefecture, its beautiful sprawling natural landscapes are some of the most scenic in all of Japan. Along the Western coast is Japan's most picturesque shrine, Motonosumi Shrine, Japan's largest and longest limestone cave and plateau are spread across the midlands, and on the Eastern edge of Yamaguchi is a unique bridge known to be the best spot for cherry blossom viewing.

Come follow me as I uncover all of Yamaguchi's best-kept secrets.

Hi, I’m Leah! I’m a twenty-something U.S.-native and adventurer trying to visit as many countries as possible. I’m a part-time traveler and a full-time English teacher in Japan on the JET Program.

SHINKANSEN 'HIKARI' with the newest comfortable seat / Tokyo to Nagoya

This bullet train is Tokaido-SHINKANSEN 'HIKARI' N700 S model.
Foreign travelers can use 'Japan Rail Pass' at 'HIKARI' ticket.
This time I ride on Non-Reserved seat car., It's very comfortable because there is few passengers.
'NOZOMI' is the fastest and popular but 'HIKARI' is often very useful except for busiest season in Japan.

10 Best Japan Tours & Trips 2018 ten day trip to japan

Japan is a country I have long wanted to visit, with incredible mountain scenery, one of the world’s most chaotic & quirky cities (Tokyo), a long history of culture & tradition, and of course incredible cuisine with authentic sushi on offer everywhere you turn.

I have been asked many times over the past few years of blogging why I have not yet been to Japan, with the answer being that I was just waiting for a time that was right. This is a country I wanted to see as a whole over at least 2 weeks, instead of just flying in for a quick city trip to Tokyo or a ski trip in one of Japan’s famous ski resorts.

Slower than the premier Nozomi but faster than the all-stations Kodama, the Hikari is the fastest train service on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen that can be used with the Japan Rail Pass.
