Many foreigners travel to TIJUANA to drink and dance, buy prescription drugs, purchase bootleg brand-name clothing, timepieces, and other personal accessories found globally, as well as manufactured and hand-crafted local curiosities. Locals and regular tourists avoid hassles by visiting the clubs at PLAZA FIESTA or other areas of the ZONA RIO without the crowds, heavy marketing, and occasional tourist misbehavior or outright lawbreaking common on the REVOLUCIÓN STRIP. However, AVENIDA REVOLUCIÓN has been known for its proliferation of nightclub shows, primarily catering to casual tourists. While still an entertaining town with an enjoyable atmosphere, some locals and tourists feel it has lost an anything goes atmosphere, that was dangerous to locals, tourists, and the tourism industry.

Bucharest's Palace of the Parliament is a testament to the megalomania of its previous communist dictator, Nicolae Ceaușescu. Built between 1984 and 1997, this massive structure (the world's second largest office building by volume) is completely unnecessary, and WAY larger than you could ever imagine. One-ninth of the entire land area of Bucharest was razed and bulldozed to make room for this behemoth of a palace. Today, it serves as the home of Romania's democratic government (which doesn't need nearly this much space). Only the U.S. Pentagon dwarfs this massive building in terms of scale and volume. That said, the Palace of Parliament leads the way in terms of weight, being the heaviest building on the face of planet Earth.
