Away from all the stress and forget what's happening in the world right now. For a while, let's forget about everything else and choose a destination. Go to a place that you can refresh your mind and focus. A place with minimum people and even alone. This pandemic that we are facing right now is very toxic, and we don't know when it will end. But because of this, everything in our life was changed, everything slows down, and we are forced to stay home because we are afraid, but we should not be afraid because this is just a test. A test from God made us realized that we should give importance to the little things we have and appreciate the simple life that many of us didn't experience. Now we have a lot of time to spend quality time with our loved ones. Let us cherish every single moment and remember that life is beautiful.

大潮まつりは、旧暦の6月15日に開催される、大漁を祈願して漁業関係者が神輿を担ぎ大漁・海上安全を祈願するまつりです。神輿は、川口神社（6時30分頃）を出て、ウォッセ～東銀座～銚港神社～第1市場～浜通り～第2市場を経由して練り歩きます。見物は16時前後の第2市場での勇壮な練り上げが最高です。神輿は2基練り歩きます。

We had a great time. Food was great. Drinks were great. The service and hibachi chef were great. It's pretty Americanized Japanese food, so it's good for picky eaters too (white rice is available in place of fried if that's preferred).
I would never pay the $59 cover charge, but it was a great option for my specialty dining credit!

2021 茨城最東端の神社 美しい港町鎮守『手子后神社』遠隔参拝
茨城県神栖市『手子后神社』
Tegosakijinja Kamisu Ibaraki
港町に鎮座する神社特有の雰囲気は素晴らしく、神社に関する書籍を複数出版している「相川七瀬」も手記で手子后神社を取り上げました。
主祭神「手子比売命」
創建は神護景雲年間（767年-770年）
漁師の崇敬が厚く、鎮守祭（旧暦2月1日）には出漁を避けることで、この時期の時化から逃れてきたという。
古くは初出漁船や遠隔地に出漁する漁船は、船出前に利根川の明神下で無事を祈った。
鹿島志に「神遊社」ともいい、「大神の御女の神」が祭神とある。
鹿島神宮伝記に、「本社の巽に当り、天宮社あり、手子妃と申し、大明神の女と申す」と記述がある。
社伝では、古くより息栖神社・大洗磯前神社とともに「鹿島神宮の三摂社」と称されてきたとしている。

Ukai - Japanese Fishing with Cormorant Birds in Uji, Kyoto 鵜飼
Ukai is an over 1300 year old tradition of using cormorant birds to fish for ayu, river sweetfish, during the summer months. The tradition came from China sometime in the 7th-8th Century. It was mentioned as an already old tradition in the historical chronicle Nihonshoki compiled in 722.
Usho, a cormorant fishing master, puts several cormorants into the water to catch ayu. They are linked by ropes and when they catch one are pulled into the boat where they spit out the fish from special pouches in their throat. It takes 2-3 years to properly train a cormorant for the task.
Uji's ukai season is from July 1st through September 30th.
